You do not live here. We are trying to reach your real home. We are trying to reach the place where you are truly welcome. We are trying to reach God. — A Course in Miracles
There is no bigger mystery, nothing more compelling than the desire to know about “life after life.” Jon Mundy, the respected longtime teacher and interpreter of A Course in Miracles , now investigates that enigma, using insights from the Course on mortality, death, and the afterlife. Mundy discusses facing death and learning to let go, the ephemeral nature of the physical body and the eternal reality of the mind, and the reawakening of our Spirit as the one, true home. It’s a book filled with hope—and a way to alleviate our fear of death.
This is the third of Jon Mundy's ACiM books that I've listened to on Hoopla. On the one hand, I'm not sure if this volume really offers that much new material. On the other hand, repetition is the mother of all learning. If the ideas in the Course of Miracles appeals to you, by all means take a listen.
A Thoughtful Exploration of Eternity Through the Lens of A Course in Miracles
Jon Mundy offers a deeply reflective and accessible guide to one of humanity’s most profound questions: "What lies beyond this life?" In "Eternal Life and A Course in Miracles", Mundy draws on decades of experience with the Course to explore topics such as death, the illusion of the body, the permanence of the mind, and our eternal connection with God.
This book does not pretend to give pat answers, but instead lovingly invites the reader into a conversation about what it truly means to "go home." Mundy’s style is warm, personal, and contemplative—ideal for longtime students of ACIM, though newcomers will find it approachable as well.
What stands out most is the book’s tone of hope. It offers gentle assurance that what we fear as “death” is not an end, but a return—a reawakening to our true identity beyond the veil of illusion.
While the book is rich in insight, readers looking for a more structured, systematic exploration may occasionally feel adrift. Nonetheless, for those seeking spiritual comfort and clarity about life beyond the physical form, this is a valuable and heartfelt companion.
Highly recommended for anyone on a spiritual path—especially those already touched by the teachings of "A Course in Miracles."
Excellent book. From an unexpected perspective. Simple language makes for interesting reading. As Jon continues he shares experiences, some uncommon, the drive the point home.
And always supported by a relevant ACIM quote, or one from Ken Wapinic, Buddha or other.
It's was an absolute joy to read. I I'll read it again.
BTW. Ken Wapinic is such a teacher I loved to watch. I read many of his books. And hope to again watch and read more. Reading about the relationship between Jon and Ken was insightful.
Thanks for the colour you added to my rainbow of release from form. Be Good.
