Last month I was turned on to crystal energy after my tarot card reading in NOLA with my SiLs. In a quest to learn more about crystal healing properties, I picked up this book, which taught me a ton and will remain a resource to me as I make Mala’s and look for holistic approaches toward my personal transformational journey.

I follow the author on YouTube and enjoy her archive of crystal videos (some dating back 4+ years), including her latest series of live channeling. This book is different from the other resources so far which have read like encyclopedias or dictionaries which provide definitions and meanings; her book has that too, if you want a quick reference, flip to the appendix. What this has which I like are that her chapters (organized by intention: love, health, wealth, etc.) start with personal anecdotes of some clients' real-life problems which they'd come to her for healing, and she shares the crystal prescription/ healing regimen that helped them through it. It's rarely just one crystal, but multiple, and sometimes in waves: e.g. First sessions to clear out blocks or debris, before the succeeding ones to start working on deeper issues. It's a good way to learn which crystals can combine well together to achieve the desired effect.

The writing style is friendly, easy to read. I went through it once already but I'm flipping through it again because it's been giving me great ideas for jewelry designs. If you're into making your own crystal jewelry, it wouldn't hurt to make sure the design is harmonious, not just to the eye but also in terms of energy, right?

The only reason I haven't given it five stars is because it doesn't have that many stones. I was searching for some and couldn't find: iolite, amber, ametrine, dumortierite, lapis lazuli, prehnite, peridot, larimar, etc.

Although that can be a good thing especially for the beginner, who might only have access to the more easily available and inexpensive crystals, it's a shame because I'd have loved to read her thoughts and experiences working with those stones.

update: a few weeks later - I find myself coming back to this book again and again for the crystal combinations. Great reference! I hope a volume 2 or revised version comes out with more stones. 4.5 stars.

This is a fun, concise, yet packed book on many aspects of how to use crystals in your life. It is well organized and easy to reference. You can read it straight through or flip to the section you want to focus on and plod through it that way. I love the reference in the back of the book with pictures. This book has introduced me to new crystals I was unfamiliar with. It’s a very easy to use reference for anyone wanting to incorporate crystals into their lives. I love this book! Originally checked it out at the library, and ended up buying myself a copy to have on hand. I had never heard of crystal baths or crystal tonics, and this book helps you to dive right in and begin experimenting. I recommend this book to people of all ages interested in incorporating the power of crystals into their lives.

This is the first book I’ve read about crystals. I found it informative, especially the chapters on the basics of crystals (caring for them, etc.). Some of it was a little “out there” for me, but it wasn’t too over-the-top. The full-color guide in the back was nice to get an idea of what certain crystals look like, though the descriptions in the guide were necessarily brief. The index is quite thorough.

Throughout the book I found myself wanting to know more, or to go more in-depth on several topics. Overall, this made me want to raid my son’s rock collection.

Krista shares with us some really beautiful crystal suggestions and tips for almost anything you can think of. She is someone who's been in the field for numerous years and to share that knowledge in easy to understand and implement in your own life is a blessing.

This book is fantastic for those who are just beginning to work with crystals as well as those who have already been working with crystals and are looking to expand their knowledge, as well as try some new combinations with their crystals.

Definitely one I'm proud to have on my shelf and look forward to referencing.

Amazing! I am a reiki practitioner and recently decided I wanted to start incorporating crystal healing into my practice. I have been using crystals since I was a young girl and have been collecting them for as long as I can remember! This book has been one of the BEST crystal books I have ever read. It is extremely thorough and has opened an entirely new door to crystals and healing for me. I will be referring to this all the time! A must have for every crystal lover!!!

This is a great book if you are looking for immediate help on using crystals. Unlike encyclopedias of crystals, this is more like a way to start building a small supply of stones and beginning work with them right away, in very useful ways.

This would be the first book I recommend to someone just starting out. Before I’d recommend one of the crystal encyclopedias.

A very nice beginner-friendly entry to crystals. I became interested about crystals and find them very magical. It is a very easy read, it just seems I'm just talking to a friend face to face. Everybody who's new or even advance in crystal must read this book. Kudos to the author☺️

This book was very informative in the how to clear, charge and care for your crystals and different usages for various crystals as well. There also was included two indexes at the back of the book which are really helpful: one based on crystal names and the other based on needed usage. The one thing I wish the book had that in lacked in was bigger photos of the individual crystals. All of the pictures were small and not well defined. Descriptions of the individual crystals would have been a plus as well.

I enjoyed the ease of reading this book. Krista Mitchell packs a lot of useful crystal healing information on a variety of topics. Not all crystal healing guides have a general index or crystal appendix (nice pictures, too). It is a great overview of crystals, their healing properties, and incorporating them into daily life. This will be a nice reference for my healing practice.
