This is the second book in a new series by Summer Prescott and the first book was so good I had to read both one and two back-to-back. This book was well worth the read and maybe even better than the first one! In this book, the protagonist is faced with vandalism to her home and business because she refuses to sell her home to a big developer. Her neighbor refuses to sell out as well, and end up being murdered and then her home burned to the ground when her heir refuses to sell as well. A great little mystery with a surprising end. I HIGHLY recommend this one!

This cozy mystery novella is short and fun! Becca, a clambake caterer, is getting bullied into selling her beachside home to some arrogant developers, who want to build on the land. Becca is not budging and mayhem ensues including murder, vandalism, threats, and arson. There are several possible perpetrators, including her ex-husband, and the mystery keeps you guessing. Don't miss out on any of Summer Prescott's books, including this fun cozy!

Becca is back from her vacation and ready to get to work for the upcoming season. What she didn't count on was vandalism in the neighborhood. Someone is determined to drive Becca and her neighbors from staying in their homes. Add murder to the mix and Becca really wonders what is going on and when will it end?

I loved how Becca kept trudging through the bad trying to find ways to solve issues going on at work and at home. I also appreciated how Becca won't settle. Definitely a great cozy mystery that can be enjoyed quickly and wanting you looking for more!

My complaints about this book are similar to the first book. Way too short. The characters needed developing and the plot expanding. For being a cozy mystery, we see no sleuthing from the heroine. The bad guy gets exposed when some mysterious lab reports come in. What they are or how's they lead to the culprit, who knows? This had promise but just didn't deliver.

Clambake Murder-Wow what suspense!

This story just kept you guessing about who was trying to get rid of all the neighbors in this quaint community. Mischief was definitely afoot! I just love the catering side of the story too, and to find out there was a spy in their employ! Great story of winning in the end.

The lengths people will go to to get what they want can be very scary. Thanks to a major back bone and a wonderfully happy detective things don't get any worse. Although killing to get what you want is way over the line. Loved this book and hope Summer writes more in this series
