Tsunami Warning

Rate this book
This book is hilarious and will keep you guessing until the end! If you love a funny mystery, then read this book now. The circus is coming to town and people keep dying.

Jim and Kram are back in their second hilarious romp around their secluded Southeast Alaskan island. With a serial killer at large (a cereal serial killer ”" to be more accurate), an unlucky entrepreneur with an out-of-control facial tic, and the nephew of a notorious crime boss setting up shop on the island, Lieutenant Jim Wekle will have his work cut out for him. Throw in a group of stranded circus freaks, a gorilla on the loose, an FBI agent that’s on the last leg of her sputtering career, and a brand new batch of antics from Kram and this adventure just keeps getting more outrageous by the minute.

"Tsunami Warning" is Book 2 of the Jim and Kram funny mystery series. You should also instantly download their first adventure, "Mink Island," and the third book in the series, "Hooligan Arm."

Comments from Readers of Tsunami Warning: "CRACKED ME UP!" "I thought I had it figured out...now, I'll never get to sleep." "I am lovin' Kram more than ever." "Laugh-Out-Loud-Funny."

Good mystery and lots of laughs with feisty and familiar characters. I love that Oscar the Mink, and her babies, are still a part of the story. Kept my brain interested and my Heart Light. Just what I need right now!

I enjoyed this book even though I didn't find it quite as hilarious as Mink Island, the first book in the series. The story was very interesing and I didn't have any trouble staying engaged. I really enjoyed the various outrageous characters and predicaments they got themselves into. The murder mystery was good as I didn't figure out the culprit until just before Jim did. The mystery wasn't overly complex. It just took something of a backseat to the rest of the shenanigans that were going on. I also enjoyed the surprises along the way. They provided a few "wow, I didn't see that coming" moments which is always a treat. I'll be reading the next book in the series and hoping for many more to come. Recommended!

Quirky & Wonderful

Enjoyed the second book as much as the first. By now the characters are all members of your extended family and you can't put the book down wanting to get to the end.

More mystery and humor

Book two is as good as the first. We have some new characters introduced who add to the mystery as well as the humor. It's very enjoyable to read about these escapades and murder. Have fun.

I am enjoying this series. Entertaining, it tells the story of an interesting place filled with quirky characters tied together with a bow of suspense that keeps you guessing as to whom the villain is!
Similar in style to Carl Hiaasen and TIm Dorsey, both of whom I highly recommend.

Enjoyable read but not as good as the first book. The characterization and plot wasn't as strong and I was really unhappy with how the bit with the FBI agent played out, it seemed very forced

Great Characters

This was a very fun read! I visited Alaska when I was a boy, these stories take me back to that beautiful place. Even back then, as a sixteen year old, I realized you had to be a bit crazy to live there.

I loved the first Jim and Kram Funny Mystery book. But I had my doubts in the beginning of this one. I didn't care as much for how much the story kept shifting back and forth to different people's stories with each chapter. It was a little hard to follow. And then the whole freak show circus thing made me think it was going to be a weird story I just didn't like. But I was wrong. And I loved the book, just like the first one.

And the wackiness continues

I read book one and enjoyed it. Book two was just as funny. Phiz is a keeper for the series. Please write more soon. I appreciate that the humor is not crude comments, or stupid or infantile jokes (which so many writers mistake for humor) but is based on the situation the character is in and the personality of that character that together creates the humor.

A great read! This funny murder mystery set in Southeast Alaska kept me guessing (and laughing!) the whole way through. Very entertaining-and it was fun to reconnect with the characters from the first book, Mink Island.

Non stop entertainment

READ BOTH BOOKS AND LOVED THEM. CHARACTERS ARE UNIQUE AND AUTHOR MAKES YOU BELIEVE THEY COULD BE REAL. REMINDS ME OF PATRICK MCNAMUS CHARACTERS. JUST BOUGHT 3RD BOOK . CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT KRAM IS UP TOO AND WHAT TROUBLE JIM IS IN.

Tsunami Warning

Although this was a good read, the humor and funnyness was very subtle. It was exciting to figure out who the "cereal serial killer" really was and why.

Tongue incheek murder mystery

Hilarious fun on an island in southern Alaska. Mobsters, a circus and semi retired rock stars all are part of solving a murder!
