After half of the town of Moose Creek died during another flu outbreak, Allexa Smeth was a lost soul. With Colonel James Andrews, she decided to set out to find the rift that broke the Upper Peninsula in half. Finding the colonel’s men was a priority, but they didn’t know it would mean getting into more than they bargained for–and possibly more than they could handle.
I have enjoyed the previous books in this series but this one surprised me by being even better. I don’t want to be a spoiler but Alexx continues to enjoy the fruits of her prepping and takes off on a fact finding trip she will never forget. A truly exciting read.
Different than the others, this work is a solid add to the series. Some events might read a bit fast, though, and the conclusion is rather abrupt. Overall, an interesting book.
This review is for all four books in this series. Deborah Moore has done a superb job of wordcrafting these fine books. I got into the characters and the situations immediately and had a thoroughly great time joining in this adventure. The main character, Alexia, is so well developed and so strong a woman, that I appreciated so much the plots and sub plots that were developed around her. I hated to see the book come to a conclusion although it was a comfortable and fulfilling conclusion. I was so glad I found this series after the four books were written. I hate having to remember a book a year down the road to be able to appreciate the next one. I hope that Ms Moore does write an additional volume. One thing I wish I knew clearer - What age is Alexia ? Keep up the good work. I highly recommend this book series to everyone who likes a very well written story.
Just when you think the story can't get any better, it does. Ms. Moore has done it again. I enjoy the story line and treasure the prepping education that flows through most pages. I feel like I 've lived with Alexa during the many challenges she has faced. Like the first three books, Raging Tide is a page turner! I read the book in one day. I couldn't put it down. It's that good!
