She would become a dragon’s mate.
But dragons never existed. At least, not in Adriana’s mind. She knew better than to believe in powerful demonic creatures that had the ability to fly and shoot spit wads imbued with fire. What’s more? She was a 9th grade history teacher and knew all there was to know about the world’s past; dragons were nothing but folklore derived from myths and old legends.
Once she met Lucas, her beliefs would quickly change.
He needed a mate, a mate who was beautiful and of royal lineage. He chose her. Dumbstruck and confused, Adriana slowly learns about her past, and who she really is. Little does she know that there is a war between dragons being fought, over her…
First, the book started okay then, wishing a few lines it went crazy like the author didn't know how to build up the suspense. She threw in a line about the main character being a 9th grade history teacher that didn't fit with the paragraphs. The next mistakes was telling us that the heroine needed to pack but was procrastinating and then we're at the cabin she supposedly rented. Yea so in one sentence the heroine is at home and in the next she's driving to the cabin. No mentioning of her even packing (just she was going to but hadn't) and no mentioning of her leaving her apartment. Finally, she's pulled inside the cabin by a strange man that tells her she's a dragon breeder and her father was a dragon and the stranger will be the only man she has sex with. This is all within the first chapter!!!
I didn't go beyond the first chapter. I stopped. If this is a sample of this author's writing, I won't be reading anything she has to writer ever. This books doesn't even deserve the one star for such sloppy one dimensional thrown together writing!
Good book. Adrianna and Lucas are nice together. Cliffhanger. Would like more background information in the next book. Lucas and Adrianna need to get his sister back and catch Remus and Damon. I was given this ARC for an honest review.
