I CAN'T UNDERSTAND THESE STORIES?
I'm not going to give away the plot of these three stories as they are self evident. And honestly, the plot is weak at best and nonexistent at worst!
The whole thing was just one big long sexcapade with the hero "having a huge c*ck" and the heroine being subjected to punishing sex at every turn.
I even tried to view it as just erotica but even as simply erotic short stories, these were all a fail for me (and I'm a big fan of Ms. Silver's work).
They are told mostly in the hero's POV and are all standalone.
But that doesn't help here at all, as the stories themselves are horrible and incomplete.
It was like watching an the same part of the movie over and over again without having seen the beginning or the end!
Like one big accident loop!!
Here are few lines from the second short story to give you a small sample of the writing and the content.
These are the hero's thoughts
~~~There, right there, beyond the rubbery surface of her cervix, past the slight opening to her womb. How was he going to fit? It seemed next to impossible,
~~Legend had it that some of the women fought their possession until they were brought to heel.
~~He wasn’t interested in playing cat and mouse with his pussy. He’d been on a steady diet of pussy three times a day since he learned how to fuck as a young boy.
Now these are the hero's words
~~“Look at that pussy stretch around my cock. I know you’re wondering how this is possible, how something the size of what you feel can even fit into your tight virgin pussy. Honestly, guys I found nothing enjoyable about these short stories. They needed to be better developed IMO and they needed to have some type of real PLOT!
The whole thing appeared pointless and for me a complete waste of time.

Sooo, I picked this up out of sheer curiosity (after reading a very negative review).
Just wanted to know if it is really that bad.
This is a rape fantasy novel and is not romantic at all from whichever angle you read this. The h in all 3 stories is tied up and taken without consent.
Not my cup of tea.

Another great collection of hot stories. These are darker than a lot of erotica, but still very good. I especially loved the middle one, Prey.
A theme in all of them is a dominant man controlling a woman. In fact, the beginning in two of the stories has a man who the woman doesn't know coming to her and having sex with her, but in all of them, the woman enjoys the mystery, the dominance and the sex. Obviously, these are guilty-secret fantasies for the reader to enjoy, not something anyone would suggest should happen in real life. I was totally able to relate to the ladies in that story from that point of view. It was hot!
The first story was quite a bit different, and I think it is for those who fantasize about having a really jealous husband--some woman see that has representing strong love.
There is a lot of each story told from the man's point of view, hearing he thoughts about what is happening, and that was really neat.

My Broken Heart - seriously dark short story with a happy ending. Didn't know how to feel about it at first but then just accepted what it was portraying. 3 stars.
Prey - good, intriguing read. Liked the premise and had a good epilogue. 4 stars.
Predator - the least dark of the three stories. Enjoyed this one the most. Great epilogue too. 4 stars.

The stories were hot & men obsessed but I can’t get over that almost all the men in Jordan stories are whores & get so angry in their woman doesn’t come to them a virgin. That bunch of double standard crap. There are no exceptions, they can know she exists from birth, they will F*** around continuously because oh that’s their nature but if the woman so much as kiss someone they want to go on a killing spree. I’m so tired of it, I abhor that type of behavior, and I’ve tried again, again to like the men in her stories cause otherwise they are loving but this time the guy in the story went so far as almost killing her. Tired of her men behaving like whores & and then DEMANDING a virgin. Bunch of crap that I can’t stand. If a female can do it, & remain a virgin and if the male is demanding a virgin it is only right that save himself for her, instead of betraying her like that. It is a betrayal if he knows she exists, if he knows that he will want her virgin, if he knows that his body should be hers alone, it is a betrayal. Well this book was the last straw in reading more of Jordan’s books.

I can never ever read even one short page of dark erotica,as I find them way too disturbing and disgusting!!!but the second story in the book has got to be the one and only dark erotica I actually read and enjoy reading.... as always Jordan silver books never fail to bring the full package of love, dedication and devotion from the very alpha hero....the hero love is just as intense ,deep,pure and beautiful as it is possessive and maddening!!

The book is labeled dark and dark it was. Each story features dubious consent, so if you aren't into that, this isn't your book. The first story was a bit hard to follow, but Bravo to Jordan for the attempt. The second and third stories were easier to understand. It's was a little hard to believe there was a guy with a 14-inch cock in one of the stories but big dicks are Jordan's MO. B-

My Broke heart was a heap of confusing nonsense. It took a while to realize the H was mentally ill and had multiple personalities.
Prey was more interesting.
Predator I enjoyed more but not much plot to explain the magical element.

The first short story I didn't finish, I couldn't really follow it, could have been just me, or it might actually be incoherent. The other two were hot and dirty and totally taboo - as we expect and love from Jordan Silver. We're still dealing with her strange word mix ups ("worst" where it should be "worse" and vice versa, for example). But that stuff might be improving, or I'm just getting better at ignoring it, because reading this didn't feel as frustrating as deciphering parts of her early books. I did notice a new abundance of "t" endings on past tense verbs ("smelt" instead of "smelled" or "learnt" instead of "learned", but I've noticed a lot of this lately, and apparently replacing -ed with -t is acceptable spelling for some words, particularly in British English! (imagine'The More You Know' music and rainbow playing in the background here)).

My Broken Heart, Prey, and Predator are three dark and delicious shorty stories. Each containing take charge Alpha males where although they loved their woman they are the boss and have the final say no matter what. I loved each one of these stories. Jordan is an amazingly talented author with her own unique style in writing. One minute I'm laughing, then the story heats up and I'm fanning myself, and in a blink of an eye your like what the fuc* just happened. Again truly great stories I wish they were longer only because I love her work and never want them to end!

I thoroughly enjoyed these three stories, written almost entirely from the male perspective. There are some moments of dub-con/non-con throughout each of the stories which may be triggering for some folks. Each story is unique and engrossing. I ended up liking all of the characters, the men only wanted the women meant for them. My only complaint is that there are editing issues in each of the stories which occasionally pulled me out of the story. Other than that, great stories Jordan Silver!

Ok people... go into this one with your eyes wide open! These three short stories aren’t for the faint of heart, but for those looking for a sexy, good time! (Don’t judge those of us that love this stuff)! All three books contain sexy alphas that go about getting their women in ways that some might deem as questionable, but others of us realize it’s fiction and find the “alpha-ness” hot! If you are looking for a way to spend a cold afternoon, then I suggest curling up with this furnace! Yummy!
