That’s what those of the Collective are made to believe. For seventeen years, Adam lived with the looming threat of his to give his body to a God.
Born a Vessel, he is destined to die so that Hephaestus, eldest of the Eight, may continue living in manufactured immortality. He should feel honoured.
Fate had other plans.
Lost on a planet he does not know, his childhood mentor as his only guide, Adam must face the dangers of the world—and the trapped God within him.
This book captivated me from beginning to end. The descriptions immerse us in the main character's world and his very unique reality. A blend of wonder, anticipation and plot twists stays with us from start to finish. Let’s hope there’s a second one !!!!!!!!
LET ME START BY: “Your mind is the tongue with which you speak.”
For someone who’s less into sci-fi, let me tell you that my experience with this book was incredible! The chapters aren’t endless (!!!!!) and the sci-fi explanations are explained simply, but clearly (literally the worst part of a sci-fi novel, SORRY LMAO). The author’s writing style (hi friend) stands out for its captivating nature and uniqueness.
Chapters 4, 9, and 14: SHOOKED ME TO MY CORE, JAW TO THE FLOOR, STAYED UP LATE TO FINISH THEM!!!
ALSO… ROSARIA what a badass
I loved everything
QUOTES: “She sported an expression of simultaneous happiness and sadness in her eyes: the joy of helping humanity achieve a great future, yet the pain of bringing life to an end.”
“At that moment, he knew he would never feel the warmth of the real sun or the true cold of snow.”
“Welcome home, Adam,” his double said. “Take a seat in the living room, coffee’s almost ready.”

JE COMMENCE JUSTE AVEC ÇA : “Your mind is the tongue with which you speak.”

“Welcome home, Adam, ” his double said. "Take a seat in the living room, coffee's almost ready."
From the very beginning i was drawn into Adam’s struggle and his courage to make sense and move forward within a destiny that was chosen for him. A very captivating book you just won’t want to put down!
