*A COMPLETE STANDALONE NOVEL* Bored with conventional dating, Nina decided to try something different but she had no idea just what she was letting herself in for. After signing up to an adult dating site she found herself receiving lots of different and very interesting propositions. One in particular interested her a lot... Two handsome young men named Soren and Aedan wanted to meet her and “share” her sexually for the weekend. Nina had never experienced a menage before and the thought of being pleasured by two muscle bound hunks for a few days was very appealing to her naughty side. However, she was soon going to learn that these men were also Lion Shifters and they have intentions for her way beyond just one weekend. They need a mate and they need her soon....
I enjoyed this book so much that I read it in a few hours and I cannot wait to read more books from Bonnie Burrows because you grabbed my attention from the first sentence. Bonnie you have become one of my favorite authors.
Excellent story. Nina is an awesome sassy female. Soren & Aedan made me wish for my own were-lions. Gr8 story, gr8 read. Looking forward to reading the others.
Decisions decisions. Nina met Soren online and Aedan in person. Little did she know she was meant to be theirs. Sweetly sexy with a fight to the death tossed in for fun.
Congratulations to the author for coming up with something even more ridiculous that instant love/lust you are my destined shifter mate. In it's place we have Nina who joins a dating service not really expecting to find much. She get's a match with Aedan (and Soren although she doesn't know it's two for the price of one). After spending a couple of hours hanging with Aeden and moments after meeting Soren they are negotiating a potential permanent relationship between the three of them. Nina agrees to spend the weekend with them to try it out.
OK even for erotica this makes pretty much zero sense. We get a big info dump on Soren and Aedan's need to mate with a human, but why they need to share one, or even would want to considering they are both straight as explained was no explanation at all. Even worse, there was no reason provided why Nina wants to make a permanent arrangement with two guys she just met.
Erotica can get away with a lot because the setup is just an excuse for lots of detailed sexy time. But this was't the case here. There are actually only a couple of sex scenes. Most of the verbiage is spent on the really lame, barely coherent plot. In fact I won't even classify this has erotica. The sex scenes aren't imaginative, and there is no emotional connection between the characters. Aedan's personality consists of an Irish accent while Soren and Nina don't have any apparent personality. On top of all that, there is a death that nobody, including Nina seems to care about and the guys seem more like kidnappers than wooers.
The only reason this gets two stars is that the writing itself is competent.
Nina was tried of traditional dating. At least the results. The games. Then she found a unique dating site. All the men were open with their expectations looking for something permanent or merely arm candy for functions--and willing to pay.
Soren as alpha of the pride needed to find a mate to solidify his position and she needed to be human to stir up the gene pool. Aedan also had to find a mate to be accepted into this pride or return to a loners life, totally unacceptable for a lion shifter.
Nina was the answer to all of their needs. She just didn't know how many needs she'd be satisfying when she met with Aedan for the first time. Finally meeting Soren, he and Aedan lay out the offer with a whole lot of pluses, the trial period is unbelievable so what's the catch. There has to be a catch. When she finds out there is no easing into the truth but instead a shocking incident the picture takes on a whole new light. Will the men be able to overcome her reaction to the full story? How about the faction in the pride not on Soren's side?
There is so much steam in this one you'll need a towel handy. Either one other one of these guys would make some heat, but both of them--
This is a really good story. If you are a shifter fan, you'll enjoy this one, like heat, this one is for you, how about a romance—this one has it all. Enjoy this highly recommended book.
I absolutely love menage, and when you throw a couple of hunky shifters in the mix, even better. Nina is feeling down and out, unable to find a man that is able to put up with her inability to "settle down" with anyone, always finding excuses to push them away before they leave her first. She's been encouraged to sign up to an online dating sight, so when she finally decides to go ahead an live dangerously, she signs up, making sure that anyone who thinks she's the one for them, is well aware that she just may be more than a handful, especially if they're looking for a piece of arm candy or baby making machine. Soren has dismissed more possible matches than he can imagine, so when his phone pinged with a possible match, he didn't have high hopes. But as soon as her picture opened up, he knew she would be the one. Now, all he had to do was find a way to convince her to be his mate....and Aedan's. So much action going on in this book that you won't want to put it down until you've read every last word. I love a good menage, and Ms. Burrows certainly didn't disappoint with this one. So much heat throughout it's entirety, you may want to make sure you have an ice pack close by to cool off once in a while. Between convincing Nina to stay with them and be their mate, and pride politics, challenges and moves, you won't have time to be bored. Throw in all the heated mating, and you've got yourself a winner you won't want to miss. Absolutely loved this book!
One of the things I enjoy about Kindle Unlimited is i read a lot and I am able to read authors I have not read before simply because I like the covers or maybe the subject appealed to me and in this case I like menages and the cover appealed as well,
I think the story was well written although fast in parts. I liked the idea of a different type of paranormal dating service and this one was really cool how it matched them up. I felt bad for Nina as she had no idea what she was getting into when she agreed to stay the weekend and that was the "brothers" doing as they left her in the dark. I hope there is more to come from this author in this series as I enjoyed this and would love to see more from her about this pride.
The thing I hate about erotica is that it seems to be an excuse to not fully develop characters. Burrows had such an interesting concept and it's the first were-lion book that I read but I wanted to know MORE about everyone. I mean the most description I got of Nina was that she was curvy.
At the end of a book I want to be able to close it and say "Yes, I can totally see these three having a full fledged relationships forever." I get it, erotica books are just excuse to have sex without an actual plot, but these teases a plot and just throws in good sex scenes. (good in the sense that I've read better threesome fanfics that have waaay hotter sex in them)
If you want a book that has sex scenes in abundance, then this one is for you.
I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Bonnie Burrows.
Nina seems to go from 1 failed romance to another. Now she is trying a matchmaking site because what has she got to loose? Soren and Aedan are looking for a mate to share and when Soren sees Nina's profile he thinks she is the one. Now they just have to convince Nina they are for her.
This book has a nice story line and wonderful characters for any reader to enjoy. The flow of the story is smooth from start to finish.
This is for any mature paranormal romance book reader who enjoys more in their stories.
Kindle Unlimited book. Standalone with no cliffhanger and HEA. She doesn't know who she's meeting. She doesn't know there are really 2 of them or that they are shifters. Was a good story just wish there was more love shown. Lots of lust with some HOT parts for sure. Will she want to share 2 alpha lion shifters? Can they make it work? I'll give it 3 1/2 stars.
This was just "meh" for me. I had it on my Prime Lending Library wish list (for books I'm not sure I want so I'll borrow them first) and I found it available as a freebie download. So I grabbed it. I couldn't connect with any of the characters, and the story just didn't seem plausible. It didn't do anything for me so I'm glad it was a freebie. The author's writing style was decent so maybe she'll come up with better stories. I'd pass on this one though.
Story was ok. Kinda unrealistic in some ways, but I know it is fiction. Lots of steamy ménage action. The heroine to me is somewhat brainless and is easily manipulated with sex and food. I really felt she had no value, but just to be a plaything for the men. I got the book on special for .99, but I really don't see it worth $2.99.
Glad that the lions in this story were neither stupid nor too superior. The sharing of a mate to keep a lone lion in the Pride was a stretch though. The relationship develops awkwardly and could probably use a re-edit.
So, if I were the h, in this book, the H's would have had their balls ripped off. If it weren't for the fact of the 'mates' crap, these characters would have hated each other. They didn't work. I didn't get any connection from them other than mediocre but OFTEN sex. Meh. Cant win 'em all.
It was ok it was a easy read but there wasn't much too it ... I didn't feel as though I it had much depth to the story just a overview really.. But if you want a quick read them this is it.
This was only good for the sex scenes which were fantastic, otherwise 2 star read. Other aspects of the book were ridiculous and poorly written. Still on the search for a great shifter romance/erotica series to love...
This was an okay read for me. I just did not love it. The story was okay but I just wanted more romance. I did not like that the guys were so separate I wanted them to be a better threesome. The group just for lack of a better term did not flow well.
The only downside to The Lion's Shared Bride was it ended. This story might have been short but you didn't get shorted on the story. Great book for any paranormal romance reader.
She decided what the check. And w by not try the single site. Little did she know what she was in for. It would change her men nd in one weekend. She now will never be alone.
