Blood Track

Rate this book
A Woman and her two dogs track down the troublesome past they have avoided. Jane McMurtry and Joe Brenner trained together and fought side by side during her first tour in Iraq. Now Joe has gone into hiding after allegedly murdering his wife and children. Like Jane, he suffers from PTSD. Like Jane he lost two legs in an IED explosion. Like her, he has benefited from specialized prosthetics. And because of the common past he and Jane share, it will fall on Jane to find him and bring him back into the fold. For Jane this will come at a heavy cost. To help him, she will have to face the demons the two of them share and the feelings she once had for him.

Eduardo Suastegui has loved to daydream since he was a child. With formal education in math and science, affirmed through hands-on engineering experience in designing, building, and integrating gadgets of varying complexity, that daydreaming fed technological innovation. On the side, it also fueled artistic expression.

Of late that daydreaming has engendered stories about hackers, rogue AIs, and space travel, with more than a few stories about a dog trainer and her military K9s sprinkled in. Rumor has it he may even have a Western or two in him.

Eduardo loves to dive into fast-flowing, character-driven stories. With each of the books he reads or writes, he hopes to continue that adventure. For him, a great story is one that moves ahead, but which also moves you. More than anything, through his writing he hopes to connect with readers and so share a piece of himself with those who pick up all that daydreaming turned into written words.

Blood Track

Jane and her Army buddy Joe have come across information that the program to help Wounded Warriors took a turn and that they are the prototypes for the super soldier. Joe lost his life and Jane gave her legs back. In the end the creator of the prosthetics reveals everything to the public and Devon sends her some new prosthetics on the sly.

Blood Track ( Tracking Jane Book 5 )

I loved this story !!!! It was a rollercoaster ride of emotions as Jane handles major changes in her body & life !!! I love Jane & Dan's deep love & devotion toward each other !!! They share a great bond & seem to understand what each wants & need . Their love & devotion to to their dogs is amazing . This dogs seem to know what Jane & Dan need & want before they do !!!! Jane & a few other badly wounded in the war were given new limbs & other hi-tech device's to enhance their lives . These enhances bring about a lot of changes ( both good & bad ) in their lives !!!! The company who gave the enhances want something back !!!! Read & follow this couple as their lives change so much !!!! The 2 dogs help them deal with all the changes & evil in their lives as other co,untries want the research & development of the electronic body parts !!! This book makes you think & consider the legally of enhancement of the human body !!! Is it in the soldiers' best interest or the government's . I read book 1 & 2 but missed 3 & 4 but had no problem understanding the p!it & story line . The only thing I didn't appreciate Jane speaking like she was from the back country which isn't a problem but was distraction !!!! Enjoy !!!!! but think !!! 🙋🐕 Vicki M.

Review of this book.

Another outstanding book in this series on Jane. A lot of twists and turns. A lot of drama mixed in with humor. An excellent read for anyone who enjoys stories where people and dogs are the main characters. The story was well written, not giving away what was coming next. I definitely would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys drama and humor in good amounts.

Great Read

This story was full of turns and twists. As I read I would think I knew what was coming next in the story, only to be led off in another direction. I was constantly worried that Jane was going to lose her independence. I really found myself thinking of her as a real person. This story was told by an excellent story teller. I can’t wait to read the next installment.

ALL of the Tracking Jane books have kept me reading until the wee hours of the morning. I couldn't stop until my Kindle battery ran out, and I had to stop, and charge it! These are by far some of the BEST books I have read in YEARS! I hope this series never ends!! I am looking forward to the next book in this series!

Strange

Really thought this was going to delve into the Sy Fy of the super soldier. Drop a couple of bodies and then just drop the story line. Good characters except can not believe that some character that is supposed to have a college degree in English uses "ain't" all the time. "Yuck"!

This book was the breaking point for me to not continue with this series/author. I struggled to comprehend the authors style and only kept reading to this point because my wife would help me figure out what was going on, but I am done. This book is just boring and seems to be filled in with nonsense that doesn't follow any storyline.

Love Jane

Her character is so strong. She charges forward into life, using her dogs to balance her. Never lets the loss of her legs hold her back. Great stories with lots of intrigue. Keep writing about her!!

A lot happening in this book!

Sometimes hard to follow, but overall, it makes you wonder what really goes on with our wounded vets, and follows along with all possible players involved, the wounded, the caring ones and the ones who only want control...loved the ending...

Wow!!!

What a gut wrenching story. It makes me believe some of the conspiracy story are true. I just know bottom line, I am in God's hands and His will be done in my life. Thank you for this story Eduardo Suastegui.

Better than ever

We all encounter disabled people in our lives and may not see them as people. Knowing what Jane and Dan experience can lead to a better understanding. Thank you for a great series!

Great characters and plot. Felt a little stilted at times describing the protagonists abilities. Other than that, loved the intention.
