THRILLERS: Suspense: PLAYING THE GAME * A Short Serial Killer Story

Rate this book
Short Story - In a quiet neighborhood, on a clear and dark night, a hooded figure sits under a backyard oak tree waiting for the people in the house to go to sleep. He preferred them to be asleep when he came. He wasn’t merciless. He derived no pleasure from the deaths he caused. In fact, he expected his victims felt no pain at all, especially if he struck when they were asleep. When someone splits your skull with an eight pound ax, he told himself, you don't feel a thing. Of that, he was sure. He wasn’t one of those sick bastards that got their rocks off by killing others. His taking of life had nothing to do with his sexuality or abuse he suffered as a child or having a whore for a mother. None of that applied to him. He didn’t rape the women or emasculate the men. He never tortured them when they were alive or molested them after they were dead. He never wasted a single blow in a fit of sexual anger. And he certainly wouldn’t think of dismembering the bodies. That was simply not part of the game.
