Liza's cousin Sidra Campbell lives by a hump-him-and-dump-him rule. No love, no messy emotional strings, means no chance of losing control – again. Unfortunately for her, two men aren't making it easy. One invokes the haunting nightmare of a past she's fought hard to be a survivor and not a victim. And another so tempting, so persuasive, she reinforces the wall around her heart and dons her mask to keep the behemoth out.

Xavier Stone has suffered loss after loss. And in the threat of losing once again, he's barely hanging on. There's one woman who creates a spark of interest so strong he can't seem to keep his hands to himself. She hates him. At least, that's what the mask of insults and indifference she wears wants him to believe, but her kiss tells another story. Xavier has lost too much. She may not be happy about it and can run all she wants, but Xavier's done losing.

Wow, what a story! This was a 4.5 star read for me. I'm so impressed with the writing and the characters and that's saying a lot since I've adored each book in this series. I have to say that Christopher Mason is one of my favorite rockers. He was so intense and tortured, yet loving with Mia. Their story is one that will always stay with me. However, I think Xavier and Sidra are right up there with them! Xavier is different than Christopher as he is not as intense, a bit gentler but in no way does he lack the alpha/possessive qualities I love in a male character. He's firm with Sid, but sweet and what you see if what you get with him. I just loved the relationship he had with his twin girls and his immediate family. Sidra.... I don't even know where to begin with her. She is definitely at the top of my favorite heroine list. I swear, she is the most relatable character I've read in quite a while. She is not perfect and she knows it. She doesn't pretend to be someone she isn't. She doesn't apologize for not being a bean pole, and her sense of humor is absolute greatness. Her snarky comments had me laughing out loud yet my heart went out to her at the same time.

The storyline with Xavier's family is one I've not read before and had me laughing and sometimes blushing as I read. This series is fantastic and although this reads like a standalone, I feel readers would benefit from reading each couples story in order to get the full range of emotions.

There was some drama in the story with Sid's ex and a bit of angst concerning Sid and something that happened to her in her past, but it wasn't super emotional. I have to mention the fact that in addition to write humor filled conversations, the author can also write one hell of a sex scene (or many!) X and Sid were hot together!!

Overall, this is a top favorite of mine... one that I will definitely re-read. There is honestly so much more I could say about these characters and their story, but it is best to experience it rather than read if from me. I do wish there was more... more story... more Xavier... more Sid, so I am hopeful the author will write a novella so I can get back into their world!

Review by Lisa Kane
Sidra Campbell is Liza's cousin. Liza and Jackson Shaw's story took place in Hidden in the Stars. Sid is cocky, smart and dishes it out as well as she can take it. She and Xavier Stone shared some over the top chemistry in HITS. Xavier was in the band Corrosive Velocity and is still reeling from the loss of his former band mate, Ethan. Life is coming at him from all sides and his ex wife Maria (who happens to be his best friend) is seriously ill and he is taking care of their twin girls right now. He is intrigued by Sid, but he lives in California and she just left to go back home to Pennsylvania. She is going back home to her business and her family.

Sid runs a successful adult entertainment site. Her off and on lover, Paul, a former barista, is her business partner. He is proverbial bad penny who brings Sid down. There is an emotional tie that Paul holds over Sid. As many times as she breaks things off with him, she ends up going back. She knows he is playing her. To the world Sid is full of confidence, but she has issues which lead her to make bad choices. She is a big girl and her insecurity issues regarding her appearance cause her to get stuck in a never ending cycle of self destruction. But the welcome she gets from Paul is enough to make her want to break that cycle.

When Jackson offers a get away for her of a friend's cabin in Washington she takes him up on it. Little does she know that it's Xavier's cabin and he is going there at the same time. The weather leaves them stranded together and the two have a chance to give their past one night stand a run for the money. The two of them tell themselves their connection is purely sexual but Xavier is falling hard and fast for Sid. She shares his feelings, but she is a master at pushing people away and she just can't seem to stop doing that.

You got to love Xavier, this guy just won't take no for an answer. He pursues Sid and won't let her insecurities keep him out, even when the press and the public try their best to disrespect their relationship.

Snare is chock full of steam and angst and suspense. Mia and Christopher, the original characters from the Falling Stars series make a few appearances in this one. Anytime that happens is a big old bonus for me because they remain one of my favorite couples. There are so many interesting characters in this series that I hope Ms. Grubor just keeps running and running with it!

If you want fast, funny, quick whit and sex, then this is for you!

“I licked it. It’s mine. Those are the rules.”

Ever since reading Falling Stars I have been a huge Chris Mason fan. After reading Snare though, I think Chris may have some competition. Snare looks at the story between Sidra and Xavier, who we met in HITS. Even then you could feel the heat of this pair, their quick whit and sacastic comments. This takes them to a whole new level.
Xavier, holy hell, he’s hot, he’s talented and can apparently do the Greek Alphabet with his tongue!! He has a definate thing for the hellcat that is Sid. She is a laugh a minute and that girl has no brain to mouth filter. I love her! She has had a rough time when it comes to men, letting Xavier in is no easy thing for her.

“Ah,Sid, you can run and you can try to hide, but I can assure you, I’m a persistent b*****d – especially when there’s something I want within my grasp. Baby, you have no idea whats coming.”

Xavier’s family, definitely not conventional at all! It would really ruin it if I told you about them. I did however spend a lot of time bursting in to laughter at the antics involving them and Sid.
I think one of the funniest parts has to be Sid, who I already said has no brain to mouth filter, explianing periods and tampax to a teenage girl. This had me rolling with laughter.

“I feel him before I see the strawberry Sasquatch”

This is definitely a read for anyone, it can be read as a stand alone, but it would help if the rest of this series had been read as you know tha backgrounds of all the other characters. Plus in my opinion, this is one of my favourite series EVER and I loved the chance to catch up on the other characters and couples we have met along the way.
Once again, Sadie Grubor has delivered a hot, steamy and highly funny piece of work and I cant wait to see what she comes up with next.

I am just going to start by saying that I love Sadie's stories because she doesn't follow the schedule of when things happen in stories that seems to be the norm now. Most romance books now you can pretty much bet the story will build then something bad will happen around 70% to break the couple up and then the remaining part of the book will be them getting back together and working through it. Reading one of Sadie's books is more like reading real life.

I really really loved Sid and Xavier's story. When you first meet Sid in Hits she is freaking hilarious with the things she says but you also see her sensitive side taking care of her cousin. In Snare I love the real view of Sid. You see her funny side but then you really see how she is when she's alone or when she puts herself out there and is vulnerable.

Xavier might have my favorite family ever. I was so shocked by them and really they could not be more perfect for Sid. His twin girls add so much to the story with their personalities and how they got through to Sid and showed her love and acceptance.

I am really hoping for more from everyone but I feel like Sid and Xavier's story has just begun.

Oh no she didn't! Oh yes she did!!

Loved it from start to finish! Loved Sid! She's like an onion.... Heaps of layers! I loved that she was strong and assertive no nonsense but also the soft girlie side! I loved how playful she was and not taking life to serious! We should all be a bit like Sid! I know there were plenty of strong characters I. The book but this was Sid's book and only hers!

Had to have a very large glass of wine or five after reading it as I had major book hangover which I don't usually get but I did with this one, and it had nothing to do with the actual wine!

Madam Grubor has done it again. I love her writing, how she comes up with the characters and story lines (let's face it we've never come across anyone as bold as brass as our Sid)
I would like to get grubor drunk as fuck and talk about every single character that she's written... In drunk detail!

Well done Sadie (we're on first named basis bitches) and looking forward to the next master piece.

This is the ONLY author I would buy a book from without reading the synopsis

5 Electrified, Signified Guitars for Snare

It's Sadie Grubor, and it's Sid. What more could I ask for? Seriously, it is an amazing read, as all of the Falling Stars books have been. I fell in love with Sid in HITS, and had Snare on preorder the day it became available, but I really have no excuse as to why it has taken me this long to immerse myself in it. Completely golden, but tore at some heart strings I didn't realize were still hanging as loose as Sid made them feel. More relatable than I would like to admit, it is a must read for every woman who feels she doesn't have that "it" factor, particularly if she hasn't yet found the one to force her to believe he sees her in a much different light. Plus, there are Forgotten and Hushed sightings throughout, and, of course, Jackson....and Liza too, who is incredible even if she does have Jack wrapped around her entirely too sexy fingers.

I loved it all, and will definitely not delay on any future Stars books. I have to admit I am incredibly intrigued with Corbin, and I hope we get to see more of him in the future.

If, well, much of anything offends you, this is probably not the book/series for you, but I personally love ever twisted word. My instinct is to lick it, but, for now, I suppose I should share.

Snare by Sadie Grubor is one of those stories where you will fall head over heels in love with the characters. I fell hard for Sidra and Xavier. Sid is the woman, I want to be if I ever grow up. She is sarcastic, witty, business savvy, and insecure all rolled into one package. She is recovering from a toxic relationship, and displays moments of vulnerability. This makes the character so relatable.
The chemistry between her and Xavier is mind-blowing. I liked how there was a mix of drama and comedic moments. Sadie Grubor is a creative genius.
I definitely recommend Snare to the readers of this genre. I give it 5/5 Platypires.

I don't even have word for how much I love this book. It made me laugh out loud, and cry major tears. Sid is just hyterical and just the thought of what comes out of her mouth directed at a "big, bad rocker" is amazing. This really needs to be a movie or something!!

Now Sid & Xavier first meet in the book Hits. He is instantly attracted to her. He tries to flirt with her & she pulls a very Big Prank on him lol. Fast forward to the present time , Sid is really going through a hard time with an ex and needs to get away . Some how she is tricked into staying at a cabin in the mountains. She has no idea it is Xavier's Cabin. He has know idea she is there. He has been going through some painful things in his life and needed to just getaway too. So they both get snowed in the cabin and that is when the fun begins. When they are alone they are so good together, but she gets scared and leaves. He realizes He is not going to let her slip away,he was not stopping till he got his point across She is His !!! When they are together they start teasing each other ,that leads to flirting ,then that leads to Hot Wild Sex (Everywhere & Anywhere ). He is very Intimidating & it is such a Turn On. He is a Beast & she is his Wildcat. Then just like that he goes back to being a Teddy bear and she goes back to her Wise Cracks ( it is so so good I was just eating it up )..Xavier is the only book boyfriend I ever want. He is a Older Big Bearded Drummer. He is a single Dad of twin girls ( those twins won me over I loveeee them ) & he has a Big Family ( they are like nothing you ever read before lol) . I worship Sid. She is Curvy and funny and so smart she is boarder line evil genius. I can listen to her talk forever. When you read this you can not help but love her and feel her pain from her past. She does not see how beautiful she really is and it kills me . But Xavier does, He loves every inch of her curves and he is not afraid prove it to her !!! He has been lonely for so long and She is just the light at the end of the tunnel for him ..They bring out the best in each other. I don't want to give to much away but this is a book you have to experience. I read it Twice so far and I can't get over them. I laughed so hard, fell in love and cried too. Sadie out did herself with this Unique Love Story. It was also so much fun to see all the other band member from the earlier books. These characters just stick with you. This is my Favorite Rock Star series and a must read. I can not wait for the next book . It just keeps getting better and better.

This book has your HEA. This book tells the story of Sidra Campbell and Xavier Stone. This book could be read as a standalone. This is the fifth book of the Falling Stars Series. The book was well written telling the stories of all the characters involved in the book. It told of the current stories and past stories that affected the characters of the book. The author has you sighing one minute from the caring and love and laughing the next from the outburst.
Sidra Campbell is a girl that has a bad past. Her Ex turns out to be nowhere near what she thought him to be. She decides to go to LA to be with her cousin and start rebuilding herself. She has to keep her business no matter what she has to do. She is scared things will not work out for her the way she wants with her Adult Toy business. Her cousin sends her on a weeklong trip to the mountains to get back to herself. She thinks that she is going to be spending the week alone with a good book, wine and the wilderness. That turns out to be the furthest thing from happening. She ends up spending the whole weekend with a man she refuses to get close to no matter what her body says.
Xavier is man that has lost people close to him and is in danger of losing the mother of his children. He spent many years in his band as the drummer. Was brought up by porn star parents. He goes away the same week every year to regroup himself for his twin girls. When he gets to the cabin he finds that he is not alone this year. He tries to stay away because he is afraid to get attached again. He is not sure that his will is as strong as hers.
After spending the week together Sidra is not sure her heart can take any more. She spent time with Xavier and all of his family. Totally blown away with meeting his porn star mother and his twin daughters she is scarred of caring. She is still trying to figure out what to do about her business and her life. She fly’s back to Pennsylvania to see her options. Her ex goes crazy and tries to force her hand. Xavier will never let anybody or anything hurt her again. There journey together is a good one for all.

This series and I, we just click ♡ with every book more...
I love the story and I am totally in love with the gorgeous covers.
I really don't have a favourite, even tough Chris and Mia will always be special to me and I love getting climpses of them in the book of other characters.
But I don't love Sid and Xander any less. Even before all the amazing teasers, I was so excited for „Snare“ and again, Sadie Grubor managed to draw me in right from the beginning. I can't describe it proberly, but it just feels like coming home. The characters feel like part of my own family/friends and that's why I love this series so so much ♡
The dynamic and chemistry between the characters and the emotions they let you experience during the read make the Falling Stars series so special. I'd say „Snare“ can be read as a standalone but as I love Chris and Jackson's books I would recommend reading these too ;)
Sid and Xander's story is not as „dark“ as Chris and Mia's but my heart hurt for these two and what they are going through all the same (and even made me tear up a little at times).

Xander's family is one of a kind and wow, there are some funny moments that had me laughing out loud and Sid fit right in with them. She is snarky and real, loyal and funny and I adore her.
Xander is pErFecT for her and I love his „Sidhandling“ and how he wants her to see that she doesn't have to be this tough girl all the time.

„I don't know who gave you this fucked up view of yourself, but I'm making it my mission to prove to you, how much this body turns me on.“

If I could I'd lick him ;)
But I totally love these two together so it's okay and I would be very happy to read more of them!
„Snare“ is definitely one of my top reads 2016 and I already know I will reread it again soon ♡

We all have one - that sarcastic friend who will say anything and everything. Sid is that friend. She's cute and lovable and funny and smart - and gorgeous - she's the only one who DOESN'T see it. Xavier is a drummer whose band has called it quits. Suddenly, he becomes a full time dad to his twin teenage daughters when his ex-wife becomes tragically ill. When Xavier sets his eyes on Sid, she thinks its all bluster. And when her heart gets broken, she discovers that Xavier just might be telling her the truth. But Sid is hiding secrets - sometimes the person who has the sharpest tongue, may be the most vulnerable.

I loved, LOVED this book! Sid's character is "everyday woman" believable. She's not tall, she not a stick. She is strong, she is curvy, and she runs her own business. Xavier is a man, not a kid. He is older than Sid (not by much) and loves her wit and appreciates her body. He sees the whole package. His family is the icing on the cake. Being raised around independent women, Xavier sees that in Sid, and instead of squashing it, he helps her bring it to light.

I fell in love with Sadie Grubor's writing with Falling Stars, in which her original characters, Chris and Mia, gutted me emotionally. Her characters spring to life on the pages of her books. In her last book, HITS, Sid was a side-kick character, which took on a life of her own. With this book, Sadie grounded me with Sid and Xavier's story. It was beautiful seeing an independent woman, full of self-doubt, be loved and cherished by an equally independent man, and slowly begin to leave her self-doubt behind. This is part of her Falling Stars series, but it can be read as a stand-alone. I give this new addition 5 "screaming fan" stars!!!

5 Stars - a hilarious and engaging read

Snare is the 3rd book in the Falling Stars series and is Sidra (Sid) and Xavier’s story and what can I say, I absolutely loved this book. Sid literally had me in stitches on more than one occasion with her smart mouth, sarcasm and attitude. But underneath all the sass was a girl who had all sorts of insecurities, having been through a cruel and traumatic incident whilst she was at college.

Xavier.... I loved him! His family is certainly not conventional in any way and I loved how he cared for his girls and how he never let Sid push him away despite her numerous attempts at trying and I couldn’t help but fall in love with the “Sasquatch”.

This book had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion with the quick wit and banter between Sid & Xavier

“I licked it. It’s mine. Those are the rules.”

Sid's no filter mouth and no nonsense approach was hilarious and hearing her try to explain periods to a teenage girl literally had tears running down my face.

Eventually allowing Xavier to break through the walls she had built up was certainly not an easy thing for Sid to do but it was great to have her finally accept herself and believe that someone could love her for who she is.

There is so much I could say about Sid & Xavier but in my opinion it is best to experience this story for yourself. Once again Sadie has given us a fantastic story, with engaging characters and I can’t wait to see what will come next.

It's safe to say that Sadie Grubor CAN NOT write a bad book. I fall in love more and more with these characters in the Falling Stars Series. That's proof with Sid. She captured my heart with her humor and loyalty to her family in H.I.T.S. and I got to see another side of her in Snare. A more sensitive side. I for sure fell in love with Xavier. While he's not Christopher or Jackson I couldn't help to fall for that Sasquatch. The way he loved Sid just as she was made him ideal. I for one have pretty much struggled with my confidence and body issues my whole life so to see him embrace all that warmed my heart. Whenever any characters from the previous books were together I had a permanent smile on my face. Xavier's whole family were just as hilarious as Sid. There were many sections and one-liners that I laughed out loud and highlighted to come back to to re-read in the future. Of course Sadie did cause me to bawl my eyes out when I didn't expect it. I forgive her and still love her though.

I'm REALLY hoping Sadie will continue writing this series because I'm not ready to say goodbye yet. Maybe Jimmy next? ;)

Even though this COULD be read as a standalone I HIGHLY recommend reading this series from the beginning to watch the characters grow and because it's just so amazing.

This book was told in first person through the hero and heroine's POV.

Sadie has written an outstanding book in Snare. Usually romantic comedies are all about the beautiful model'esk woman and hot CEO of a company. Well this one will pull at your heart strings, make you laugh as well as cry. Meet Sidra, someone who we know from a previous book, a voluptuous lady - she thinks she's fat and not attractive due to past experiences with so called boyfriends. She's talented with technology but boy does she have great one liners that knock people down a peg or two. She's at the end of her tether with her partner Paul and needs to break free. He is poisonous, puts her down at every opportunity and a sponger. Meet Xavier or X, the hay stack of a man, a drummer in a rock band, with tattoos galore but has the absolute heart of a God and the looks of a model. He gets Sid and all of her vulnerabilities and always invades her personal space. Their journey is not smooth but whenever is it. Sadie you stepped up to the plate with this one. It's your best yet! I so want to see what happens next. Because Sidra is normal - this is about 2 people falling in love through adversity but it's life-like. Easy flowing book that I couldn't put down. Well done - you rock rock rock! Given this book as an ARC for an honest review and that was it.

HILARIOUS!!!

OMG this book was just awesome!! Full of sass, great humor and perfect romance.

Rock roll superstar Xavier doesn't know what hits him when he meets Sid. Sassy, completely crazy and totally sexy without realizing it, Sid is not ready to admit the attraction she feels for the rocker. After a lot of issues and unexpected meetings, the chemistry between the two finally wins. Then come both family and ever more laughter and crazy characters.

I loved both Xavier and Sid and I totally fell in love with Xavier's family. From his kids to his parents, all are a bit crazy and not afraid to say whatever comes to their mind. Sid's family is not far behind in craziness and loving.

What I loved most about this story was, in addition to the great chemistry and love between the characters (every last one of them), the humor did not pre don't the sensibility and emotions too be so well expressed and felt. Sid and Xavier both have been hurt in the past and carry those scars today. But despite them, they learn to love, to trust and to rely on each other's.

I hope this serie is not over as I really loved all the groups and characters involved!!!

I bow down to Queen Sadie. Don't ever let the voices stop talking... Never put down the pen. I will forever be a stalker to your work. :)

OMG!!!! I could not put Snare down once I started it. Sadie's writing makes it easier to connect with characters. Let me just say I have loved Sid since she was introduced in HITS. I can relate to her smart mouth and no bulls*** attitude. I also like that the fact that she is built like most women with curves. It helps make it more interesting to read knowing that X loves a girl with curves and not a stick figure.
The story between Sid and X doesn't move too fast and allows readers to follow with out skipping time.(one chapter between 2 years down the road kind of thing) There is enough of back story for each character to understand how they became who they are, what they feel and experience. I really like that you get both characters POV through out the whole book. I also like the fact that Sadie intertwined pervious character from the other books in the series so their stories continue as well.
Love this book and can't wait for more from this series.

Sadie Grubor I love your books! I really thought no author could every make me belly laugh ever again like Mimi Strong's book "Peaches Monroe", well "Snare" is in a photo finish on that! I am so in love with how you brought Sidra and Xavier together. You took your time and showed so many sides of them personally that I was left wondering will they always just be friends because she was so, so insecure about herself (with just cause from her past). Xavier had his problems and ghosts, but he worked through them and His final goal was to make Sid whole again and make her realize how soulfully beautiful she is. Sid is very broken and uses comic relief as her cure to handling life. You brought all the characters back into this book which made it even better to know how their futures are all panning out. I am so looking forward to the next book. FYI, your snippet into Vegas Follows You Home, made it my next read.

5 ***hours of Conan versus Xena*** stars!

I loved Sidra and Xavier’s story. I loved it, loved it, loooooooooved it! Totally awesome.

Xavier is a rock’n’roll megastar. Sidra is the co-CEO of Toy BoXXX. They have both been hurt again and again, and now they are done losing. Never, ever again.

Snare (book 3) is a fantastic new addition to the Falling Stars series, by Sadie Grubor.
Full of sass, hilarious moments and perfect romance. It was sexy, feisty, witty, funny and so, so, steamy… Page after page, I groaned, I sighed and laughed out loud. Jesus, this book, THIS BOOK!

Now? I want more. Because it just keeps getting better and better.
Will the next book be Corbin’s story? Or Jimmy’s, maybe?

I'm a huge fan of this series and these characters!!! I loved Snare so much! It's officially my favorite book in the series. It's a great story full of angst, pain and heartache as well as love, friendship and humor. Sid is my fictional soul sister. A regular girl with insecurities like a lot of us. Love that she is a nerd girl and that she is a character you can relate to. I felt it hard every time she used humor or a self-deprecating comment to deflect from someone else putting her down or being mean to her. Xavier is a hot, tatted, dirty talking drummer, what's not to love there? I liked his persistence and how he always tried to make Sid see herself like he saw her. And they are super sexy together! If you haven't given this series a try yet, I highly recommend that you do.

Funny and sexy--a new favorite!
My favorite heroines are smart and sassy, and Sidra (Sid) is the epitome of both as she runs her own successful businesses and cuts a few rockstars down to size, including Xavier, the sexy drummer who makes it clear that he wants her. She's not without her vulnerabilities though, and her issues have her wanting to run when things get too intense. Sid and Xaxier together are funny and sexy, Xavier's family is hilarious and Snare has been added to my list of all-time favorite reads. Though this is a standalone, I'd recommend reading the rest of the series to get the full enjoyment.

Xavier and Sid stole the show! If you read Jackson and Liza's book then you have been patiently waiting for the sparks to fly again. Their relationship got off to a rocky start when Sid broke out the handcuffs and used sequin panties for a gag! After an accidental camp out where the sexual tension is through the roof, Xavier decides that it is game on. While he works through some personal issues and she is avoiding an ex turned stalker, they explore the possibilities. This book was absolutely hilarious...I don't know what was better, Sid's ginger sasquatch jokes or his Mom's sexual innuendo!

Snare is part three of the Falling Stars series by Sadie Gruber and it was a fantastic read. This book, because it is part of a series does need to be read with the other books. Snare is about Sidra and Xavier who had a adversarial flirtation relationship. She cannot believe a former rockstar would be interested in her. Because of her past she has accepted less than she was worth.
While this takes place in the rockstar world, this is a story that could be taken from real life. It wil make you laugh, cry and sigh. I cannot wait to read more from this series and author.

I recieved this book from the author for an honest review.
Oh Wow! Not only did Sidra become my hero, I also pictured myself in her. She is a BBW with a wicked tongue and her comments and saying had me laughing out loud.
Xavier and his precuit of Sid was mesmorizing.
Loved this book but I need more.

I loved Snare by Sadie Grubor. She writes excellent Rockstar Romance that are extra angsty and totally unique! I wish I had found this author sooner because I thoroughly enjoy her writing style and every book I have read by her; particularly, the Falling Stars series.

Sadie captured me with the tormented sexy Chris. I'm not sure if anyone will measure up to him but Sid has certainly give him a good run. I may have found my girl crush. She's strong and feisty, and damn that mouth of hers!!! Snare was wonderfully hilarious and sexy. Don't believe in spoilers ...just trust me and read it.
