Rate this book
Dillon Wolfe thought leaving Wolfe Mountain and his family’s tragic past would bury the pain for good. After his mother’s death and his father’s imprisonment, the military gave him purpose, distance, and a way to forget the one person he never should have Charlotte Lawson.

Years ago, one reckless lie cost Dillon his future with Charlotte. Now he’s back on the mountain with his brothers, determined to uncover the truth behind his father’s murder and face the woman he never stopped wanting.
When Charlotte is taken captive, the danger surrounding the Wolfe family turns personal. Dillon will risk everything to save her and heal the heart he broke.

Hidden away at his new home, Charlotte must decide whether Dillon is still the boy who betrayed her or the man strong enough to protect her. As secrets close in and a killer lurks in the shadows, their second chance could be the only thing more dangerous than the truth.

Dillon is book 2 in the Wolfe Brothers, and boy, do things get even more crazy as they try to work together. On top of the stipulation of staying on the mountain and working with his brothers, who all have some issues, Dillon is hoping for a second chance with Charlotte.

Does he make it easy? Heck no. His determination to protect her, even from himself, absolutely frustrates me. When Charlotte finds herself in danger, Dillon tears the mountain apart to find her, and I love how the brothers have his back, of course with a heap of whining thrown in. Their continued banter and ripping on each other made me laugh and simultaneously want to knock their heads together.

When an opportunity to get that second chance lands in their lap, I was excited for them to embrace it. They did, and their connection deepened with each other and the family. Through all this, there were so many emotions to manage as each person in the Wolfe gang tries, fails, but still stays together to make something of their lives.

All the while, danger creeps closer until the brothers once again come to Charlotte’s rescue. Does Dillon mess up his relationship again? Of course he does! I was absolutely swearing at him and hoping for some grovelling before Charlotte took him back.

Once again, when love and family win the battles, you are left with a smile. If complicated family, a stubborn hero, and danger in the mountains get your attention, check this out.

Dillon is book 2 in the Wolfe Mountain Series and where do I beginning on how amazing this new series is turning out to be. Dillion is one of the Wolfe brothers and has a history with Charlotte. When she had her coworker another doctor Craig are kidnapped, she remembers words that Dillion has always told her “if you are suspicious take the emergency phone with you”. When Craig and Charlotte attempt to escape it all go haywire and Charlotte makes that one call she never thought she ever had to make, she calls Dillion for help.

The Wolfe brothers will stop at nothing to protect those who are important to them and to protect their mountain. When more news comes to light that involves their father Jeremiah the brothers make plans to discover what really happened, who’s involved and what the next steps they should take.

This book will have you on the edge of your seat a few times, you will cry, you will laugh at the antics. Definitely a series I recommend.

Way to go Cassie Colton

This is the second book in this series, and this is Dillon and Charlotte’s story.
Dillon and Charlotte were high school sweethearts, until his lies town them apart. Dillon left town hoping that leaving town would help the pain of his family’s tragic past, while Charlotte went on to become a doctor. Dillon and his brother’s return to the mountain, determined to find out more about his father’s murder, and when Charlotte finds herself in trouble, she has no option but to call Dillon for help.
This is a well written story which has family, friendships, emotions, lies, secrets, betrayal, danger, suspense, intrigue, challenges, determination, tension, trust, forgiveness, second chances, redemption, and love, which leads to an entertaining and addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Dillon by Cassie Colton is an engaging romance that pulled me into a world of brotherhood, loyalty, protection, and love. One of the most enjoyable aspects of this story was the focus on relationships, trust, and the importance of having someone willing to stand by you when life gets complicated. The protective nature of the hero added intensity to the romance, while the emotional elements helped make the characters' connection meaningful. The story has the kind of romantic appeal that keeps readers invested in seeing how the characters navigate their challenges and find their way toward happiness. Overall, Dillon was a promising romance that combines passion, protection, and heartfelt connections.

Dillon is a cautionary tale of what trying to fit in can cost you. Charlotte was his best friend; she paid the highest price for his comments/lies. While Dillon has matured and grown into a good man over the years, he still has to make amends with his one true love. Charlotte lived her life missing her best friend, but now they're both back in close proximity trying to put down roots. When Charlotte finds herself kidnapped, she knows that she can count on Dillon to come find her but how long before he gets there. Dillon's redemption arc is good one. I loved watching a guy who made a mistake able to own it and the hurt he caused. This family has had a lot of challenges and heartbreak so watching them heal individually and together makes me fall in love with this family more and more.

This book was emotional and romantic with some suspenseful moments thrown in as well.

Dillon knew Charlotte when they were childhood sweethearts but he hurt her badly and they split. Now he is back and trying to make amends.

Charlotte is smart, a doctor and a woman with hurt feelings. She wants to forgive Dillon but it's hard to forget what he did. I loved how his brothers are on his back not letting him get away with being a doofus.

I really loved the chemistry between them even when they were fighting. That was visible all the old feelings and new.

So well written, with a feel good ending as well as suspense till the very end. Fantastic book!

This is a gripping small-town romance about second chances, fierce loyalty, and a hero who will tear apart a mountain to protect the woman he loves. Dillon and Charlotte’s history gives their reunion plenty of emotional weight, while the Wolfe brothers’ banter and unwavering support bring warmth and humour to the danger surrounding them. With a stubborn, protective hero, a heroine forced to trust him again, and a suspenseful plot that keeps the tension high, this is a heartfelt read for anyone who loves romance where love, family, and devotion ultimately win.

Dillon and Charlotte grew up together, but in high school when Dylan was trying to fit in with the popular crowd, he made up rumors about Charlotte that hurt her reputation. Charlotte was so hurt and devastated that she had to switch schools. Dillon has been trying to make amends ever since. She is one smart cookie and goes on to become a doctor, but she just can’t leave Wolfe Mountain behind her. She gets into trouble and has to call Dillon for rescue. Charlotte wants to move forward and forgive Dillon, but can she trust him with her heart again?

This is the second book in this series which follows Dillon and Charlotte, delivering an emotional romance filled with danger, secrets, and suspense. I especially enjoyed the focus on trust, family, friendship, and having someone stand by you when life gets complicated. Dillon’s protective nature added intensity, while their emotional connection gave the romance depth.
With lies, betrayal, redemption, and love woven throughout, this well-written story it makes it an entertaining and addictive read.
