Book Four of the Award winning Bound Across Realms series concludes with this steamy romance! Cambria punches numbers during the day but at night she works with her team to crack mysteries...fantastical mysteries. Their latest? Is crossing the country and leaving charred remains in its wake.
When Cambria discovers a Dragon in her backyard, everything changes. Including the Dragon.
Agni is a Dragon-shifter just trying to finish up his mission. He wants out of the Human Realm ASAP. But what happens when he succumbs to a shifter ailment and he loses his memories?
This shifter-romance will have you kicking your feet, screaming at the pages, and completely swooning.
**This is a spicy romance with an HEA. It includes explicit content and profanity. Recommended for mature readers only.
Aeva Vox is an award-winning author who writes romance that's steamy and full of plot. Usually her MMCs are fictionally perfect and her FMCs are non-fictionally imperfect. And why the he** not? Women deserve to be loved in ridiculously amazing ways while being imperfect messes.
Aeva does NOT use Generative AI in her writing (from ideation to final edits) and never will. Even after being a developer for a decade, she finds Gen AI a useless mess and the antithesis of creativity.
This book was so good. Every time I thought I finally understood where the story was going, something would happen that made me question everything all over again.
What I loved most was the way the story builds. You are given just enough information to start forming theories, but never enough to feel completely sure of anything. There are so many moments where you think you have a character, a relationship, or a situation figured out, and then another piece is revealed that changes how you see everything.
The surprises actually felt like surprises, which I really appreciated. Once certain things started coming together, I found myself thinking back to earlier moments and seeing parts of the story completely differently.
I also loved how the book handles its unanswered questions. You do get answers along the way, and some of them are incredibly satisfying, but not everything is handed to you at once. There are still plenty of things left hanging that make you want to keep reading and find out just how much bigger this story is going to become.
The characters were another big reason I became so invested. There are complicated relationships, hidden motives, secrets, and connections that constantly make you wonder who you can trust and what everyone is really after.
By the end, I felt like I had learned so much while somehow still having even more questions than when I started. And honestly, that is exactly what made me want more.
If you enjoy romantasy with mystery, fated connections, secrets, complicated characters, unexpected reveals, and a story that keeps making you rethink your theories, I definitely recommend giving this one a chance.
I received this book as an arc from the author. Thank you for sending it to me. My opinions are my own.
This book has so many layers that I would find myself confused frequently and have to backtrack, but that could just be because I’m a fast reader and sometimes I need to make myself slow down. 🤷🏼♀️ A dragon with a plan to take over all the realms gets amnesia and finds his faded mate. She helps him realize that there’s more to the world than just sticking with your own kind and there is more to humans than meets the eye. He agrees to help her find her dad well hoping to get back his memories. Along the way he falls hard and fast for her. I started getting confused when the realms opened and the battle happened because I’m not sure how it actually ended, but it ended well, so that’s good. 😊 Our FMC learns that the world around her is not what she expected and although she’s been obsessed with the supernatural and the magical, it’s been right under her nose, the whole time. After years of searching for the world, her father described to her before he disappeared, she finds herself a part of it. Your boy’s got a double package 🍆🍆 too bad we don’t get too much time with that🫣 he’s absolutely obsessed with her as he should be plus he’s a dragon so that’s always good for the plot🫡
5⭐️2🌶 This was wonderful, just like the other three books in the series. It told Cam and Agni's story well and it concluded the series in a pleasant way. I loved seeing the characters from the other books and I loved Cambria. She is sweet and a little bit of a pushover at the beginning but she grows and finally pursues what she wants. Agni is sweet. I love that he's open minded and I love that he reevaluates his previous misconceptions. This really brought the whole series together and I'm a little sad its over now. I was really hoping Ash would get a HEA at some point too. But it sounds as though there will be more in a future series, so that's exciting. As always, thank you so much to Aeva Vox for allowing me to be on the ARC team. I always have such a good time with her work. They are cozy, fun and fast.
Dragon shifter investigator with amnesia? ✅️ An FMC that works accounting by day and runs a Paranormal investigation team by night? ✅️ A mysterious death that never added up✅️ A whole lot of delicious chemistry? ✅️✅️✅️
If you love shifter romances, a bit of mystery, and a whole lot of magic, Storied Fate should be on your TBR. Agni and Cambria lit up the page, their efforts to suppress their obvious attraction only moderately successful (thank goodness!). The plot was well paced, with commentary on the dangers of prejudice running the stakes high. The fourth in the Bound Across Realms series, Aeva Vox connects previous couples effortlessly without making a reader just jumping in now (LOL HEY ITS ME) feel bewildered, only itching to read the first three.
WOW, what an end to a series. This truly takes you an emotional roller coaster with so much tension. Amnesia, lies, secrets, and so much betrayal the MC's did not see coming!
This is a great magical world to explore and get lost in. A missing parent? A dragon shifter just appearing out of nowhere? Not to mention magic was way closer to home than you realised. This sure kept me on my toe and glued to the book.
This is a great fantasy series (and book) to get lost in when you're in the mood for all kinds of magical creatures with drama, magic, and lots of spice.
Thank you Aeva Vox and Happily Booked PR for this ARC
Thank you @happilybookedpr for sending me this amazing arc!!!
Our FMC Cambria meets our MMC Agni, a Draconian who gets amnesia when he planned to take over all the realms and they while she wants to find her dad so they help each other along the way!!! It so warm and cozy but the spice hits hard where you don't expect it!!!
If I could I would refresh my own memory to read it again😆
