This book is an exploration of what it is to see, but not with eyesight, with insight.
The author, who now has very little sight of his own, explores how the awareness of science and psychology along with the teaching of Gautama, Yeshua, Traherne and Thich Nhat Hahn can converge through spiritual experience and practice. The insights derived from one source helps us to better understand the perceptions and teaching of the other sources. In this convergent consciousness, the Christian may perceive the mystery of Christ in Buddhism, and the Buddhist may perceive Buddha nature in Christianity.
Whether you read this book from the perspective of a Christian, a Buddhist, a scientist, a humanist or none of these, the insights derived from the other sources will help you understand better your own perspective and consciousness and thereby help you better to see the true nature of the world and of ourselves.
I enjoyed this book it stretched my thinking. I find I did not agree with all points hence 4 not 5 stars and would enjoy talking them through with the author. A book for people trying to make sense of where east/west spirituality meets.
