Eva LeNoir lives in France with her husband, two sons and the entire food chain in pets: From fish to gerbils to cats and a dog. With a full-time job that pays the bills, she reserves all of her free time doing what she loves most: Writing.
Eva likes teasing her husband that she should have married a billionaire so she could stay home and write all day. But then he makes her laugh at his silly antics and all dreams of lavish lifestyles evaporate from her mind.

A softie at heart, Eva can be seen crying whenever anything emotional is on TV or the radio. Yes, even commercials. So, if ever you meet her, make sure to bring a box of tissues and a good episode of Grey's Anatomy to witness the epic tear fest.

Sometimes I need a good dose of rom-com in my life and this book fit the bill. It was such an easy and fun story and read like a show I'd enjoy watching. It was hot and sexy, sweet and funny, and I can't wait to read more from this author.

Delilah and Cole have been roommates and besties for 4 years. She's been in love with him almost the entire time but is reluctant to risk both their friendship and her heart by succumbing to his charms. The introduction of a sexy stranger helps her get her groove back, but will it be enough to give her the courage to take a chance on love?

I really appreciated getting a little of Cole's POV, but I would have loved getting more. He was incredibly hot as a character (dirty talker) and I would have liked to get to know and connect with him. I need to know what UCC stands for!! NOW!! The ending implies that there will be more to the story (hopefully it's more about Cole and Delilah because I had little interest in the other characters) and I hope the meaning of UCC eventually becomes clear.

This was a delightfully light read with a touch of smut. The princess does get her prince charming!!

5 "...I have a good feeling about this." Stars

This is my first title written solely by Eva LeNoir and certainly won't be my last. Having recently read and enjoyed Blackballed, a book Ms. LeNoir co-authored, and then seeing this gorgeous cover on Disheveled I couldn't sign up to read fast enough. Needless to say, I'm now hooked on the #UCC saga thanks to Cole Sterling and Delilah Jameson so I can't wait to see what future installments to the series hold.

Disheveled, written simply with a lot of heart and humor, reads fast enticingly leading you into the DC area to fall in love with Cole, Delilah, and the #UCC girls. This book makes you feel good about love stories. It's light hearted, no overwhelming pain or suffering from either character, allowing to simply enjoy reading the story and with a big smile on your face.

Cole and Delilah are roommates with a very close relationship they both cherish. With their friendship providing a solid foundation in their lives neither Cole nor Delilah have pushed for anything beyond simple flirtations. They're really sweet together and super cute with their banter, useless but fun knowledge of 80's movies, and the intimacy the reader feels between the two as we get cozy reading the changes subtly happening in their relationship. Cole, a hard hitting lawyer, who's good-hearted manipulations make him all the hotter because LeNoir reminds even book boyfriends are men. And men aren't always the most romantic with over the top gestures and they don't know all the right things to say all the time. This author made her hero make a well-intentioned mistake we can all see plain as day while the heroine remains obviously out of the loop. Through arrogance and total hotness we fall in love with him, knowing what he's doing and seeing the romantic version of it. He fits this descriptions because of his charisma, charm, and quick wit - his confidence oozing from the pages making him totally delicious. His match, our heroine Delilah, oh my did this woman crack me up. Having a four year long crush on your roommate/best friend who happens to be an extremely hot man whore doesn't bode well for the slightly neurotic art gallery owner. She hides behind a thick wall of assumptions never letting her heart too close to Cole's masterful hands. But her reactions to him, her actions because of him, her affection for him - all make her true colors shine beautifully. There's a moment this woman is sitting in her sweats, all done for the day, where she's a real, honest woman. She doesn't need to anything ostentatious to provoke Cole or the reader because Eva LeNoir gives us the real deal. It's easy to see why Ms. LeNoir matched these two and did so quite perfectly.

In an effort to preserve the plot - which was another aspect I really enjoyed about Ms. LeNoir's writing, she doesn't play guessing games since the clues are there for the taking. As a reader it was just a joy to feel relaxed and content while reading a fun, romantic journey where the heroine is totally out of touch so I'm not revealing anything specific that happens plot wise. Expect humor from the #UCC girls as they all see the chemistry between Delilah and Cole while they willingly share details from their own love lives intriguing you to want to read their stories. Meet characters outside the #UCC who you'll want to know more about (ie. Jade). And experience what it's like to be in love with your best friend and roommate and have that come to fruition in a really ass-backwards yet so perfect way. The whole plot of the book really lent itself as being part of the characters. It's a little out there but it fits Cole and Dia so perfectly I couldn't have imagined anything else.

I can't say enough how much fun I had reading Disheveled. It's the perfect Sunday afternoon, contemporary romance read where you just want to kick back and enjoy a simple, zany, funny romantic book told mostly from the heroine's excellent POV with a few chapters told deliciously from the hero. These characters are ones with whom Eva LeNoir makes it easy to fall for between the pages. She made me laugh out loud numerous times. I can't wait to read the stories of the next characters in the upcoming installments of the #UCC saga and find out the meaning of #UCC. Figuring we'll get more insight into Cole and Dia plus meet more funny, real characters like them - it'll be a great series to follow.

**Reader's note** Shout out to the women of the real #UCC who inspired this series. I support you all, including you Eva, and think you're an awesome group of loving, caring, kind, funny women. There were parts of this book that had me laughing out loud just a little harder thinking of you all who had inspired these parts of the story (ass-biter, in this instance I'm talking to you!). You're a special force of women in the reading community and I'm grateful e to know all of you just a little bit.

Disheveled was born from a chat group where a few friends and myself would talk about our favorite books. We would joke and laugh and throw out anecdotes about our daily lives. It was also a place for support and virtual hugs at any time during the day (different time zones can do that).
One day, we laughed about how we should write a book with these anecdotes thrown in because they were too funny.
Challenge accepted.
A few months later, Disheveled happened.
Each character in the book is the fantasy version of one of my girls from the chat and every time I write a book in the series, the alpha reader is the friend concerned. They are fun and light and full of love just like my friends.
So, here you have it.
I hope you love and enjoy Delilah and Cole's story.
You can now enjoy Disheveled on audio!

Disheveled by Eva LeNoir is a sexy fast paced romantic comedy of two best friends who have been circling around their feelings for one another. This book hits all the right notes. It had steam, laughter, friendship, and lots of sexy times. I thoroughly enjoyed this book as I have always been a fan of friends to lovers trope. Eva LeNoir made this book a fun read as she introduces a wonderful cast of girlfriends who has their own sexual kink. And for Delilah Jameson she has it all. As a successful owner of an art gallery, her life is perfect. Well except the fact that her love life is nonexistent and so she does what any modern woman would do, she tries online dating. Sounds easy right? Well, what happens when Delilah realizes that the person she might be chatting with online might be someone that she knows personally?

So if you are looking for a sexy romantic comedy that has lots of steam and dirty talks then look no further than Disheveled by Eva LeNoir.

(audiobook+ebook) I have mixed feelings about some elements of this book, but I still enjoyed it. At least, what I read was quite original.

For instance, the way Delilah and her friends objectified the male staff at the club was kind of cringey, but at the same time it’s a breeze of fresh air to read about WOMEN enjoying that kind of entertainment. And the UCC scenes were both funny and sweet, offering a glimpse at the characters who, without a doubt, will be the heroines of the next books.

Cole’s behavior was something else that bothered me. His way of expressing his feelings was problematic. But I won’t complain–it created some of the sexiest scenes I’ve read in a while. And while Delilah seemed passive at first, she was nothing but, and she took control when needed.

So yeah, it wasn’t the most romantic relationship, and we didn’t have a lot of time to connect with the characters–the book is kind of short–but it was fun and sexy.

Due to the angle chosen to tell the story, we mostly get Delilah’s point of view. Though the female narrator did a good job, I’d have liked to hear more of the male narrator.

Quickie

- Series: UCC saga #1 (can be read as a standalone)
- Hashtags: #erotica #friends to lovers #roommates
- Triggers: N/A
- Main couple: Delilah Jameson & Cole Sterling
- Hotness: 5/5
- Romance: 3/5
- + all the geeky references
- – not sure about Cole’s technique of seduction…

So what does UCC stand for?

I'm puzzled.

And a bit jealous. I want to be a UCC girl and watch sexy men make cocktails.

Someone in a book group just asked for recommendations of room mates finding romance and this ticks the box.

Cole and Delilah have a fab, funny, flirty relationship. I know I fall for all my book boyfriends - I can't help it. I am fickle but Cole Wowzers trousers is yummy. Justin Clynes without a shadow of a doubt.

The sexual tension is brilliantly written. And the sex is sexy. I read with a grin on my face the whole way through, because of course I knew!

Things I loved:

1. Star Wars
2. Ice cream
3. Cole
4. The close knit girl friends.
5. Manet, Monet, Renoir - underneath the smut love is a cultured bird!
6. Cole

"His sex appeal was through the roof, and my body was constantly ripe for the taking whenever he was in the vicinity."

"I swear, he is sex on legs and I would bet my next pay check that he is capable of taking you to the moon and back. Screaming."

"There was something incredibly erotic about a man eating pussy while completely clothed."

"My dick-head had no known relations to my shoulder-head. Two different hard drives. One for stocking information, and the other for driving the point home...hard."

"When you have lived through half of the horrors that I have, you see love for what it is; a series of good-intentioned mistakes that lead your heart to happiness."

Can't wait for more. *skipping off to Pinterest to check out pics of Justin Clynes...

Disheveled, UCC Saga 1 by Eva Lenior
Narration by Allyson Voller and Blake Lockheart.

Delilah and Cole

Cute, no angst roommate to lovers story. There’s comedic commentary between Delilah and Cole, and a history of being roommates that made it a sweeter story than I thought it was going to be.

Delilah has swooned over her friend and roommate for years. And with his suggestion she opens up an online account seeking a lover. There’s a connection between these roommates that has made them so comfortable with one another that likely has kept either one of them on acting on anything further in case it messes up their relationship. Yet when they finally get together it’s really steamy. There’s a lot of funny bantering between Delilah and Cole as well as when the girls are out together.

While the narrators are true professionals and I was engaged listening to this one. I found Allyson’s performance here at times monotone and a bit like hearing a person reading out loud which threw me off a bit at moments but came back towards the end of the story. Blake Locklear needed to be more in the book so I could swoon a lit bit more☺️

Disheveled by Eva LeNoir is a friends to lovers romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Blake Lockheart and Allyson Voller.

This is the first book of Eva's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. The chemistry between Delilah and Cole was off the charts! I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view. It really brought the story to life.

Blake and Allyson did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Disarmed to released on audio so I can get Jade, Miles, and Carson's story.

I would recommend this book if you like friends to lovers romance, contemporary romance, or erotic romances.

Fun. Sassy. Sexy. Eva LeNoir opens the door to Ruby’s Lounge to meet the #UCC girls with a humorous and steamy story proving that sometimes what you want is right in front of you.

Book Review

Finally Eva LeNoir is here at the blog! Ladies and gentlemen, this has been a long time coming and I am happy to say that the moment has come. And yes, I know it is dramatic, but I feel extra caffeinated this morning as I write this review.

In this first book in the UCC saga, we meet Delilah Jameson and Cole Sterling. These two have been roommates for around four years and are “safely” in the friend-zone. They are almost like the little old married couple next door, but without the sex. Cole and Delilah have great banter, flirtatious moments, and quite frankly a sexual tension that you can cut with a knife. However, Delilah is determined not to go there. After all, Cole is the man-whore supreme, right?

As the story progresses, we find out that Delilah is trying online dating. When Cole finds out he teases her and then makes a suggestion to set up a new profile without her photo. Why? He thinks she should see if she can find a match that will be interested in her and not just her photo. This is where things start to get interesting. Because of the new profile, she meets someone who really connects with her. He pushes her buttons and opens her up to the possibility of really finding someone she can connect with. Will what happens online stay online? Will Delilah and Cole stay in the friend-zone permanently? You will just have to wait and read to find out.

I can honestly say that I loved this book. LeNoir not only has an ease to her writing that draws the reading in, but she has humor. A lot of times, you read a book and it tries to be funny while being sexy and engaging. In this book, there was no trying. It was funny. It was sexy. It was a great read. The writing and the wit were exactly what I wanted.

The perfect story with the perfect plot!

WOW! This book indeed was brilliant. this is the first book I read by Ms LeNoir and although I knew the writing was going to be superb (after reading Black Balled who she co-wrote with Andrea Smith), the plot had me in stitches!

We have two very loveable characters, Delilah and Cole, who have been roommates and best friends for a while, yes I know what you are thinking, there is an attraction blah blah, well yes you are right, BUT, Delilah doesn't really want to act on her emotions, she knows Cole is nothing but trouble and that he is the type of person who will sleep with a broom in skirt if the opportunity would arise, Cole is not giving any indication that he is the slightest interested in her or that he feels any attraction towards her, so after seeing all her friends "more or less" settled down and happy, she decides to take the bull by the horns and register in an online dating service.
As soon as she clicks ENTER the story moves at an incredible pace and Eva makes the reader completely addicted to the story.

The interactions between Cole and Delilah are comical, and the dialogues are so well delivered and funny you can't help but want to read on to know what is on the next chapter, you think you have it all figure it out, but there is more to Cole that meets the eye and the result is completely unexpected, he plants the seed of doubt in Delilah's mind and you are second guessing at his intentions.
I am a big movie buff, and there were so many movie references I loved every minute of it, I can only tell you you will never watch another Star Wars movie the same way again!

With love, laughter, passion and a Happily ever After, Disheveled is a story that shouldn't be missed!

And in the words of Yoda:

“Do. Or do not. There is no try.” The Empire Strikes Back

5 PERFECT STARS *****
