Spend Your Time on the Fine Things, Wu Xiaobo's first collection of prose, contains his over 60 prose works. Different from the other works which are rational and objective, there is his deep father love, past stories with his old friends, his views on the worldly affairs as an intellectual and sharp description of his tens of years of throwing himself into the business world in his prose. Time has its taste and years have their sounds, too. Every piece of his prose is the sincerest expression.
Wu Xiaobo is one my favorite business columnists in China. He has written many books in China's economic revolution and influential business cases over the years. This book is a collection of his prose and unveiled his thoughts on many fronts and how his personality changed over the past decades. It's private, but it is representative of the post 70s generation in terms of what they went through and what they aspired to do in China's fast-changing environment.
