Luke and Lindsay had a white-picket-fence kind of plan. They wanted a baby more than anything, but after a miscarriage threw their parenting dreams off course, the two struggle to realign their expectations with reality. On New Year’s Eve, they make an unspoken to leave their shared trauma in the past. Yet despite being determined to move on, the couple cannot seem to overcome their mourning. With painful memories lingering and frustration building, Luke and Lindsay question their ability to heal—and whether they can hold on to their modest hopes long enough to try again.
