Wow what an amazing book. I couldn’t put it down and I lost a few hours of sleep getting sucked into the story. I can’t wait for book 2 like right now!!!!
This book is told from both Leila and Brody’s POVs. We get to see what both characters are experiencing as the story unfolds. When the book starts Leila is working on shift at the hospital. When a trauma entered that night everything changed for her. After finding out Leila’s background, my heart broke for her when that trauma came in. I was literally on the edge of my seat quite a few times wondering how things would play out. I couldn’t help but cross my fingers that things turned out for the good. Then as Leila waits to find out what’s going on she meets Brody.
I knew right from the beginning that Brody would make me swoon quite a few times and believe me I wasn’t wrong. He knew just the right things to say at the right time. Brody and Leila are both instantly affected by each other but neither were looking for a relationship.
These two could not stay away from each other. With everything happening all around them, those two bonded with each other in a beautiful way. But just when things start to settle in of course fate throws in tons of obstacles for these two. I laughed quite a few times, yelled for these two to get it together, I was pissed a few times too, and of course I cried. Big UGLY tears at the ending. Yes the ending literally left me wanting book 2 ASAP. I highly recommend this book it’s a wonderful start to a love story with twists and turns thrown in along the way. I look forward to one clicking book 2!!

I really enjoyed reading Pushed. I was hooked right from the beginning. Leila's and Brody's story is one that had me flipping pages, I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next. I thought it had a bit of a Grey's Anatomy feel to it, which I loved.
I loved the characters and storyline and can't wait to see what AF Crowell has up her sleeve next. I will be waiting impatiently.

I was given an Arc copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review! I would definitely give it a 5 star (more if I could).
Leila Matthews's is a trauma nurse, she is single and no plans to change that, the only person who means anything to her in her life was her brother who is a police officer. One night however whilst at work her world almost crashed down on her, an on-duty police officer is brought in with a gunshot wound, OMG she realises it is her brother. Lelia goes into meltdown, you can feel her pain, you can feel her worry, lucky for her its a friend of hers who is doing the surgery and she trusts him to make sure her brother is given the best chance!!! It is touch-and-go if he will make it, she is in shock mode!!! Then her system is put into overdrive by the appearance of a stranger, who turns out to be the best friend of her brother, his name Brody Davis. Instantly Leila is drawn to this man, he is drop dead gorgeous. Wow the attraction was mutual, this man never did relationships, his love em and leave em attitude was how he lived. Seeing Leila changed that, he wanted her, he wanted to make her his, he wanted to take her where she had never been before. He had no intention of just blowing Leila off, she was his best friend's baby sister, and she was all he ever wanted in a woman.
Brody Davis was a rich man in his own right, he was a real estate developer, his parents who died in an accident were wealthy and he inherited from them, riches, properties, cars, yes this man was loaded with cash and with looks, he was smoking hot!!! Is Brody the jealous type? well yes after running into a friend of Leila's called Jax you can see the green eyed monster appear. This guy Jax is a man who turned up in casualty one night, he needed stitches but being a macho guy he refused just bandage it up he had demanded. He appears regularly throughout the story, and Brody dislikes him immensely is it just because he sees him as a threat? does he think he is stalking Leila? Brody is a typical Alpha male, and his jealousy surfaces every now and then, will that ruin his and Leila's relationship?
Leila is attractive, slim, with ample curves, she turned men's heads easily but she never had been very interested before. Her work, her dog, an ex-police dog, and her beloved brother, was all Leila had time for. Could she risk getting involved with this man Brody, would he hurt her, why would he want her she was just a working class woman, all she could give him was herself, would it be enough?
I loved the whole story, it captivated me from page 1 to the end and left me wanting more and more! The hot steamy love between these two main characters was exciting, funny, it melted your heart at times and made you giggle at others. These two have a chemistry second to none, but will Brody's jealousy ruin it ? in fact Leila has a few jealous moments too. The story was written superbly, it never got boring or dull, just flowed at a great pace with you dying to read on to see what was coming next.
Needless to say there was a cliffhanger - and I for one can't wait for more!

In the midst of that chaos, an unfamiliar, yet drop dead gorgeous, face appeared. Leila had no time for relationships, not that she wanted one to begin with. Her parents’ example left her with serious trust and commitment issues. She hadn’t wanted anyone enough to let down her guard. Until he walked into that waiting room.
Brody Davis was an attractive, wealthy, bed-hopping player. No woman would ever conquer his heart. After losing the only two people he loved at an early age, he built a wall. A cold, heartless, love ‘em and leave ‘em wall. As a real estate developer and mogul, Brody traveled and never sat still. He didn’t need or want anything more than a quick conquest. I was hooked from the first page. I just couldn’t put it down. I really liked the chemistry between Brody and Leila. I could feel it flowing from the pages. I like how strong willed and independent Leila is. Yes she needs her brother but she doesn’t depend on him all the time, she depends on herself. Brody had my heart from the moment I met him. Both Brody and Leila have a issues. I liked how they could get through it and be together and be stronger because of they were together. Brody is a hot, sexy alpha who gets jealous and doesn’t know how to deal with it, and I love him for it, but his mouth tends to run away when he gets jealous. I loved how real the characters were. I felt like I could go to the grocery store or a gas station and meet either Leila or Brody.
AF did an amazing job. I can’t wait for book 2. I need to know what happens next. There is a person in this book that I want to know more about. Due to spoilers I can’t say anything else about this character. You will just have to read the book to find out who I’m talking about. I definitely recommend this book!! You will love it as much as I do.

I know it is only a matter of days but I may just die while waiting! So, I spent quite a bit of time giggling and smiling while reading this story, because, let's be honest, they were freaking cute about a lot of stuff! Of course, we can't forget about the tense moments when they had their issues or when something bad, in general, happened. There wasn't any dull issues, my eyes were riveted to my kindle through out most of the time. I had a couple of issues on my own personal end that would drag me away but I was back to reading almost as fast. The ONLY thing I would change? I'm so not going to take any stars away for this either, because, it isn't all the fault of an author, the editor. The editing job could have been much, much better. Everything else? Freaking awesome and I am so ready for round 2! Come to me, honey!

Only person she news is her brother Drew who is member of the S.W.A.T team.
One night on her shift her world almost comes crumbling down around her, When gunshot victim that comes in is her brother.
Leila goes into meltdown mode, because she has already lost her mum. you feel very deeply for her because they haven't had much luck as a family.
She lucky she has amazing support from her friends.
It's touch and go her close friend who sge trust operates on Drew so she knows he has a fighting chance.
Leila is panicking and pacing when she hears someone called out her brothers name at the desk. When she claps eye's on drop dead gorgeous stranger. She is having a panty wetting moment thinking about him Brody Davis is her brothers best nate outside the force.
Leila is deeply drawn to him, even though she knows he is a man who doesn't do relationships.
Brody Davis is a rich man who owns real estate developer.
His parents died in an accident. Brody inherited the lot.
Do you know if I could have given this book more stars I would of it had lot's of twists to this story and alot of twoing and throwing between the couple. I loved every minute of this heart warming story.

When I first started reading this book I was kind of caught up in how quickly Brody was swept away with Lei, thinking it was much too fast. As I continued to learn more about Lei I envied her strength as she had no one but her brother as family. Brody is so infatuated with Leile and the power she has over him it totally mystifies him and he's drawn to her. He instantly went from bachelor playboy to a one woman man. But I feel that Brody has many secrets that has yet to be shared. My heart aches for Lei at the end when she shares her knees with Brody, especially after they just proclaimed their love for one another. I am anxiously awaiting book 2 because I want to see what happens between her and Jax and what Brody is going to do. Brody promised her and her brother he wouldn't break her heart, now I want to know why he snapped on her when he heard the news and why he let her leave New York.

I won a copy of this book and finished it in a few hours. This book is very well written and the story line is fantastic.
Leila is a nurse and is use to seeing trauma. When her brother presents to the ER with a GSW, she has no idea how she is gonna cope. She can't lose him. He is her rock and her only family. It is then that Brody enters the picture. He is gorgeous and she is taken with him immediately. They spend this time together and he really see her trough. They fall in love.....Can she trust him not to rip her heart out.
My biggest need in this book is to see where Jaxon is going to fit in and how Leila will handle him. I cannot wait for the second installment. Waiting patiently.........Highly recommended

Once I started this book I couldn't put it down. Ch 2 made me tear up. You feel emotionally involved in the story. It was a great contemp romance, exactly what to read when you need some push and pull kind of thing. I loved all the characters, well except Jenifer. I thought Laila's feistiness and independence was awesome! Jax is def my fave male in the story, his friendship and yet protectiveness with Leila is actually sweet. Brody is def the alpha male, but you can see he had a hard time reigning it in, and as is his feelings grow for her, you start to like him. I'm not totally sold of him because of his possessiveness. Can't wait to read "Pulled, thanks to the perfect cliffhanger".

I was drawn in immediately at the beginning of this book....it was exciting & intense. Well done for this debut author. I liked the storyline as I haven't read too many about nurses. As the story grew, I didn't connect with the characters like I would have liked to at this point in the story. Brody & Leila had a very quick connection & I wanted more depth from them. Overall it was a good story & leaves you hanging at the end, wondering what will happen next!

Riveting story
I will admit I was not sure when I started this book. But after just the first chapter I was hooked. The story is awesome and the characters are extremely life like. Throughout the story I kept going from loving to hating back to loving the characters. I would highly recommend this to anyone. AF Crowell you did wonderful job on this book and I can't wait to start book two.

Absolutely amazing.... that is what I feel when I get an Amazon freebie that blows my mind, Pushed was that book for me.
Registered nurse Leila Matthews loves her job as a trauma nurse at the local hospital, she loves the drama and intensity and tonight would be no different. She hears that a gun shot wound is 3 minutes, going into her way of dealing with the drama that cones with trauma in the ER she presses forward so when the ambulance brings in the patient it is all hands on deck! That is until she really sees the patient and who it is. Her brother Drew, police officer has been shot in the line of duty and is life and death situation.
Being removed from the room by not only the surgeon but her best friend Drake, she heads out defeated into the waiting room where all of Drews workmates are waiting for information on him too. Feeling her world fall apart after losing her mum, she knows she cannot lose Drew to. But right in the middle of her breakdown, she looks up to the sound of a gorgeous voice asking for her brother, that gorgeous voice has an equally stunning face - Brody Davis.
Knowing she shouldn't be feeling what she is when her brother could be inside dying, but Brody just brings to her knees. Brody is a very wealthy man, owns his own real estate company along with many ither side projects and can have basically any woman he wants. It us clear that the feelings Leila is gaving is the same for Brody... He doesn't understand it, and really doesn't care either. He is Drew's best bud, and although he wants Leila in his bed, like yesterday, he wsnts to ask Drew 1st.
It is Brody that helos Leila out in the coming days and weeks as Drew slowly recovers. Drew threatens Brody with hus life if he messes up with his sister, she deserves to be treated like a princess, and sam that is what Brody wants too. Leila and Brody fall into a very deep sexual relationship very quickly, and neither are afraid to show their feelings, but Leila knows what a bed hopping man Brody is so she is mire than a little careful.
Soon enough they cannot live without each other, but as real life resumes and Brody must return yo his travel with work and Leila hesds back to the ED for job, more than a little few dramas get in their way... Or should I say a huge drama, 6'4" of biker man that has more than a little crush on Leila, Brody's ex sexcapades and his insane jealously, can the 2 really have a proper relationship, or does yet another little drama step in their way?

Really 4.5 from me. Why not a 5? Because this book ends in a freaking cliffhanger!!!!! Now I have to wait for the next book to be released hopefully sooner then later. The author asked me if I was Team Brody or Team Jaxson. I don't know Jaxson the way I know Brody so I reserve judgment for the next book to see how much more we get to know about him. The love between Leila and Brody is so there, but people keep getting in their way, and pride and misunderstandings keep things from progressing to a Happily Ever After. I Want my HEA!!!!!

It was a powerful love story, I connected with Leila & Brody but their insecurities could be exhausting and Jax just stirred up problems & misunderstanding between them both. I can't wait for pulled to come out & see if Brody meant what he promised to Leila concerning the love & future together!

I am not sure how I feel about jaxson at all .... But holy crap u will take a Brody please;). Leila and Brody's relationship is hot .... I am unsure about the ending as cliffhangers are a no no for me but I will read on :)

This book is AMAZING. it's not your typical love story. it very well written and sexy. I was hooked from the start. So much going on warning it's addicting. I fell madly in love with Brody..no spoilers but get this book you won't regret it. I read it when it first was published this is the release with more that just adds to its awesomeness. Can't wait for more.

I absolutely loved this book!!!!! I got sucked in and couldn't let go! I had to know what was going to happen. Leila is amazing, I love reading strong independent females in book. She never backs down and stands by who she wants to. She takes no crap from anyone. Brody..I have mixed feelings about him. He comes across as this smooth talkin rich guy who can get any girl he wants but then at times he is really sweet and loving to Leila. Think Dr. Jerkyl/ Dr. Hyde. Then you throw Jaxon, the ex marine/biker who is a gentleman to Leila. He seems to be stalking her but I'm ok with it. Leila is a RN nurse in the ER and everything changes when they bring in a gunshot victim. She is gung ho to start working on him until she realizes who it is. Her whole world is shattered but then as the surgery goes well, his friends start coming in and she is instantly attracted to Brody. I mean what's not to love about a gorgeous, well dressed man who drives very very expensive cars and owns his own plane. He is definitely the charmer but he proves to Leila he is so much more than that. She falls hook,line and sinker for him. There are signs that Brody is hiding something huge from her but you can't figure it out. Things are heating up and jealously rears its ugly head...jaxon is flirty but very protective of Leila, Brody doesn't like it. Jenifer is Brody's fwb plus a close family friend, she is determined to get Brody and make him hers. Leila isn't a fan at all. Even with Brody reassuring her that she means nothing, you can't help but wonder how close those two really were. This book will definitely keep you on your toes and you will be dying for book 2 like I am. As I'm sure you know from reading the other reviews, this book ends on huge cliffhanger! I'm dying to know what happens in pulled!!!

No spoilers...This is part of a serial, it contains a cliffhanger. This book is written from Leila, and Brody's POV. I enjoyed this book. I really liked the fact the Leila was a strong female she knew cars and football which is a great thing for a female character. I liked that Brody was trying so hard to be a good guy, and please her. He was so sweet, and it made for a very cute story. I like the little Sons of Anarchy nod in the book. Made me laugh. The thing that drove me crazy was how trivial the things were that made Leila upset at Brody. I found myself shaking my head at how petty it was. At times I felt like it was a bad episode of three's company...miscommunication after miscommunication kind of predictable. However it was a cute well put together story. I found myself liking Jaxson more than anyone else, maybe because I pictured Jaxson from SOA. There are a few errors but very minor, almost unnoticeable. Very cute contemporary read.

Wow just wow this book was really amazing I read it in one sitting I could NOT put it down. I was sucked right in to this story from beginning to end the characters were truly amazing. It is told from both POV's so we get a better understanding of how each of them feels. It made me feel quite a few different emotions I have seriously never gone from wanting to love a character to wanting to throat punch them in the space of 5minutes.
Brody was a smooth talker with cheesy chat up lines, who developed a possessive/protective trait for Leila almost straight away, which completely confused him. Leila was a strong independent yet vulnerable woman who wasn't afraid to stand up for herself. Wow, just wow. This book gave me everything I ask for in a book. It gave a great and powerful storyline, great characters, and making me want more.
Leila is a nurse and Brody is a wealthy business man who hit it off the first time they met. They met under unusual circumstances and Brody vowed to be by her side for support even though she knew he was no good for her, from what she has heard and have been told by others. Jaxon is an ex patient of Leila's and keeps popping up whenever Brody and Leila are out, seems a bit creepy, but he always seems to stir things up because he is also interested in her.
The story has many plots and twists which gives this book a 5* read from me. Once I started this book I could not put it down, I was always wondering what would happen next between Leila, Brody and Jaxon. It is a triangle worth reading about. I will be anxiously waiting for the next installment.

I really enjoyed this book. In Pushed, we are introduced to two very strong, passionate, sexy people. Leila is an ER nurse and Brody is a very successful business man, who also has a player reputation. Their first encounter occurs when Drew, Leila's brother, is brought into the Leila's ER with a life threatening gun shot wound. Leila is devastated, but Brody is quick to stand by her side. Neither of them can deny the instant attraction they have. The more time they spend together the greater the sexual tension gets. Once they finally give into it, there is no stopping the roller coaster of passion. Outside influences start to put a strain on their relationship and Leila and Brody insecurities start to show. Then there is the final blow. Can Brody and Leila recover from it?
I can't wait for book #2, Pulled. Great job AF Crowell.

I was gifted a copy of this book, for an honest review.
Leila and Brody.
Although they have known of each other, through a mutual person - Leila's brother Drew, they meet under sad circumstances, Drew has been injured through his line of work.
They comfort each other, lean on the other person during this event. they become closer, and find they are very much attracted to the other.
There is a connection, a spark, and Manwhore Brody who doesn't commit, wants to try with Leila... and this is their story...
The beginning was a bit slow for me...but towards the 50% it started to get a bit more interesting...
Warning though...it does end in a cliffy, and book #2 is under re-edit... so if you don't like cliffy's then i suggest you wait for book 2...but its definitely worth the read.

I loved the dynamic of these two. A nurse and a billionaire? Yep. This story developed in a way that would normally have me skeptical but they each open up about their insecurities and it seems to work. Seems may turn out to be the key word. How often do you find a girl who knows cars like any of the boys, has a billionaire playboy ready to change his stripes AND has a hot biker waiting in the wings??
Well, it must be my lucky day.
This story has one of my favorite features... the awesome side characters. There is a cliffhanger so I hope book 2 gives me more of her relationship with her brother, more best friend Barb and definitely more details on cute friend Drake.

I have to say at this point I love Jax & am so disappointed in Brody. You know it's a good story when you feel like you know the characters in the book. Book 2 cannot be released soon enough for me.

Pushed is the first book of A.F. Crowell's that I have read. In saying that...it will definitely NOT be the last one! This story captured my attention on page one and well, lets just say it still has my attention. I am in love with both Brody and Liela! Pulled can not come soon enough! This series is a definite MUST READ!

Wow! This debut novel from AF Crowell is definitely a must read. I can't put it down.
Leila, a nurse gets an unwelcomed surprise one night at work, that lead to her finally meeting the 'male ho' her brother that told her so much about.
Brody, worried and upset about his friend rushes to be at his side, finding Leila there.
Unable to help themselves, they find comfort in each other. This starts a relationship that either one of them saw coming.
I can not wait until the second book in this series...

Holy cow! An emotional roller coaster for me. Ended this book bawling my eyes out. I loved it. I'm very excited for Pulled.
