It started off a little slow, but once the juice started flowing it got good, I honestly didn’t notice it was a short story until i was at the end and beginning for one more chapter.
Started off great, but then weird bdsm sex scene followed by PTSD ending, left me wondering wtf? Summaries of the next books did not look appealing enough to buy.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Told through intimate letters between a lonely divorcée and a soldier overseas, this one builds its tension with anticipation and imagination before reality crashes in—literally. Jenna’s vulnerability and the emotional connection through writing add a different flavor to Jordan’s usual fast burn. The premise is touching and well-executed, though it’s still built for heat over heart. A nice mix of longing and lust.
Coming from the war to a time of peace , takes getting used to. She had been in a relationship where her husband was a sleaze ball. Everything that he wanted to do he did and blamed it on her. Not knowing what a healthy relationship was she turned to corresponding with the military men. She was paired up with a good guy. One she gave hope to. Gave him something to look forward to when he came home.
Christopher and Jenna writes to each other while he's in Iraq. They finally meet and it's explosive...in every way. But Christopher's nightmares of Iraq are real. Very good hot story with a touch of the real world thrown in.
I enjoyed reading this book because it gives us a glimpse into the reality of what loving someone who has chosen to protect and serve must feel. Loving someone through the pain os never easy and especially the pain and loss of war.
Coming home from war to someone you had only communicated through letters for months, is hard enough. Learning how to live a normal is even harder. Can't wait to see how this ends.
