"Lillian felt if he ever found out the truth about her he would hate her; he would never have even let her in his home had he known what had brought her here so badly broken. He’d seen the visible scars, but only she knew of the ones that were hidden inside, and it was those that would drive him away from her."

These thoughts expressed by the main female character, Lillian James-Reid, in B.C. Yancey's western romance novel, are directed toward widower Sawyer Weston, the handsome stranger who takes her into his home and helps to heal her physical injuries following her escape from a band of outlaws.  She is found by two children named Paul and Kitty, Weston's neighbors, who run to him for help.  The plot is rather predictable, but the characters are well developed.  About This Book states that this edition is an "updated version:  error's have been fixed"; however, there are numerous errors throughout!  Please re-edit!!!

Lost and Found is a nice read, if the reader doesn't become too distracted by the poor editing, especially in the beginning of the novel.  I was willing to stick it out and did enjoy the storyline and characters.

Lost and Found

Lillian's husband dies and she is free to visit her cousin, she didn’t love him but was forced to marry him after the death of her parents. She boarded a train to the west only to be kidnapped by Walker and his men from a train.
They took a bunch of women with them. Walker forced his self on to her, all the women were abused by the gang of outlaws.
All of them were killed except Lillian, Beth and Walker who was shot they managed to get away when Beth shot Walker thinking he was dead they flee. While crossing the swollen river they women get separated and Lillian gets broken and nearly dies. She manages to stumble her way close to a cabin but passed out. Two children Kitty Paul who are hiding from their drunken father find her and run off to get help from Sawyer.

Sawyer lost his wife to child birth years back.

Will Lillian survive? What will become of the children who are scared of their own father?

This is the second story I have read from this author. I must say it’s a bit brutal but felt so real. Definitely a page turner. I enjoyed reading this story.

I do wish Beth was payed to rest in this book. She is left out laying on the old floor. That’s my only issue. Great story telling by the author.

A beautiful story, thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters work will together. Plenty of emotions and action at play. He is a widower and she is a widow, the children they adopt are orphans. Would probably read again. HEA ending of course.
