He claims it was a magical place that helped mold his imagination, as he spent countless hours roaming the hills, playing in a cave, and hanging out at the Ohio River with his childhood friends.
Ed is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in English Education, and served in the Army, becoming a Journalist and the editor of the Army post newspaper. After being honorably discharged, he entered the corporate world to write business proposals, working for several different banks and at times managing proposal teams.
Currently living in Copley, Ohio, Ed has been married to Melissa since 1987 and has three children, Renee, Ed, and Brynn.

Not to give anything away, but this story was just plain creepy. There are only a few things in this world that I can't stand and one of them happens to be the main threat in 'Practice'. Gosney ventures away from the stories and genres I have read by him before and doesn't let me down. This was a fantastic read and is excellent for a quick lunch read!

If clowns creep you out, DO NOT read this book! The Creeper Clown is enough to give you nightmares! This book reminded me of the old Twilight Zone & Night Gallery TV shows....short, creepy & great!
Very fast-paced & full of the stuff of nightmares. A great short read if you love this type of thing.

I hate clowns even more, now
Good grief. Ed Gosney had me nearly wetting my pants just by reading this story. I have always found clowns creepy. This demented, yet psychologically electric, tale makes me almost afraid to find out more about psionic powers and a future where supernatural abilities might be possible. Goosebumps galore. Even King's "IT" didn't make me feel the heebie-jeebies this story did. Nice and freaky, Mr. Gosney!

This creepy story probably deserves 5 stars. OK I'll give it 5, but I hate clowns... Read the story, my hate is now justified...

Practice by Ed Gosney was a pretty good quick read. Kendrick suspects that his wife has been cheating on him. If that wasn't enough, Kendrick crosses paths with a really disturbing clown. This was a good quick read.

Kendrick is grumpy and disgruntled, unsatisfied with his life. He has always hated clowns but now one seems to be stalking him. What could he possibly want?

Kendrick is convinced that his wife is having an affaire. Haunted by these thoughts, he will meet a disturbing clown who doesn't seem to let go of Kendrick.
This is a very quick and entertaining listen, just short of one hour. From the beginning I got trapped in the story, intrigued by this clown, the strange coincidences and Kendrick's aversion to clowns in general.
The horror in this book starts as something psychological, to transform later on into something more tangible and horrible. Gosney knew how to build up the tension and deliver a tale that would disturb everyone.
With a short story like this one, there is not a lot of character development, but somehow I was able to connect to Kendrick and feel the horror he felt.
There was something I didn't like from Kendrick. He complained that his wife was not at home to prepare him dinner, so he just tossed some hotdogs into a pot. I find it almost anachronic that we still have to read about these things in books that are recently published.
Andy Harrington's narration was excellent. His tone was compelling and he delivered different voices for all the characters, along with great interpretations. His interpretation of the clown was one of creepiest I have ever listened to.
This was a great listen, different from what we are normally used to. As it is quite a short book, I think it's ideal for those idle moments we all have from time to time.
