She returned home after years of hiding from her past. Except home wasn’t where she thought it was.
After five years away, Mia Birch returned to Maple Falls to find the house her parents had left her in shambles. With nowhere to go, a ghost from her past appears.
A very chiseled ghost wrapped in flannel and smelling like woodsmoke and hers.
These three men are determined to win her heart.
Jason, the childhood friend who always had a crush on her.
Shane, the ex-boyfriend who broke her heart.
Ty, the flirty beta who aged out of foster care and is just looking for a place to call home.
In this cozy small-town Omegaverse romance, Mia must decide if she can trust the pack that wants to claim her.
With woodland cabins, daddy vibes, and a curious cross fox named Umbra, Mia might finally find the sweet sanctuary she thought she’d never find again.
A Nest of Maple & Mist is a cozy, MMFM, why choose romance scent matches, hurt/comfort, second chance romance, a daddy alpha & a bratty beta. Knotting, Nesting, and Primal Play. No cheating. Guaranteed HEA.
Cozy small-town vibes, second chances, found family, a pack that feels like home… and enough spice to keep things VERY interesting
Huge thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an advance copy in exchange for an honest review!
This was actually my first proper experience with Omegaverse, so I went into it not completely knowing what to expect… and I ended up having such a good time with it. 😂 I took a blind leap into the Omegaverse with this ARC. I had no idea what I was walking into, but what I got was the ultimate reading paradox: a deeply comforting, low-angst small-town romance with connection and spice that completely blew the roof off.
It essentially feels like a Hallmark autumn movie got tired of playing nice, poured itself a stiff drink, and embraced the heat. I absolutely loved the cozy small-town setting and the whole autumn atmosphere of Maple Falls. Mia returning to her childhood home after being away for so long felt bittersweet, especially because the house still held so many memories of her parents and her childhood. Then she discovers that she’s basically been scammed by the property management company that was supposed to be looking after it… Yeah, not exactly the homecoming she was hoping for.
But this is where the pack comes in, and honestly, they were probably my favorite part of the entire book.
Jason, Shane, and Ty each bring something completely different to the relationship, and I loved seeing how their individual dynamics with Mia developed. Jason has that protective, steady energy that made him feel so safe and dependable. Ty was such a sweetheart, and I loved the moments when his playful and mischievous side came out. And then there’s Shane… 🥲 His history with Mia gave their relationship so much more emotion, and watching the two of them slowly work through everything that happened between them was probably one of my favorite parts.
AND THE GROVELLING?? I genuinely wasn’t expecting it to hit the way it did. 😭 It was sweet, emotional and actually felt meaningful. Seeing Mia and Shane finally find their way back to each other made me so happy, especially because it wasn’t just about them—it felt like another missing piece of the pack finally falling into place.
I also really enjoyed the relationships within the pack itself, including the MM dynamics. Everyone has their own baggage and things they’re trying to heal from, but there’s so much affection and support between them. Even the relationships that are more like pack-brother love were adorable. It made them feel like an actual family, not just a group of characters brought together for the romance.
Mia was also really easy to root for. She’s been carrying so much from her past, and I loved watching her slowly realize that she didn’t have to handle everything by herself anymore. The whole idea of her finding somewhere she could finally feel safe and loved made the story feel even more comforting.
Another thing I appreciated was that it didn’t feel as predictable as I expected. After reading a lot of small-town romances, you sometimes start thinking, “Okayyy, I know exactly where this is going.” 😂 There were several moments when I thought the story was heading one way, then it surprised me by doing something different, which kept me wanting to keep reading.
And yes… the spice was definitely spicing. :)
The best way I can describe this book is like a cozy Hallmark autumn romance decided it was done being innocent. You still get the small town, comforting atmosphere, second chances, childhood connections, found family, and people healing together… just with a LOT more heat.
Despite everything the characters have been through, the story stays relatively low-angst and comforting, which I really appreciated. There’s emotional depth without the book becoming exhausting to read.
By the end, I genuinely didn’t want to leave Mia and the Hawthorne Pack. I wanted MORE chapters because excuse me?? I’m attached now. 😭 I really hope we get little glimpses of them in future books in the series because I’m not ready to say goodbye to them yet.
Overall, this was such a warm, spicy, and surprisingly emotional comfort read. I came for the cozy small-town romance and ended up loving the found family, pack dynamics, healing, and sense of belonging just as much. I’m really happy this introduced me to a new author, and I’m excited to see where the series goes next!
Final Thoughts:
It’s cozy, ridiculously romantic, delightfully spicy, and leaves you with that exact warm-blanket feeling you want from a fall read. I'm genuinely sad to leave the Hawthorne Pack behind and will definitely be camping out for whatever this author writes next.
Lovely smutty cosy why-choose Omegaverse, wherein three bonded men meet their perfect scent matched woman. Much bonking.
The plot is mostly "how will our FMC be romanced into bed by each of these adorable males", (especially the one who Acted Heinously in the past, can no-one have an honest conversation to avoid such drama, sheesh.) It's a little bit "how to furnish a nest", quite a lot "good grief that household's laundry must be never-ending with all that slicking" and a little bit "my love language is bad guys getting what's coming to them". And then there's the variously partnered spice with a sensible amount of romantic consent talk, given the omegaverse dynamics in play.
Would I have liked a bit more characterisation for the men -- yes, for sure. While I'm glad there was minimal wallowing in the sadder backstories, I did feel there was room for some of that history to play out in the present day, as the relationships are being re/negotiated.
All in all, very sweet!
Rating: 15/20 This review is based upon a complimentary advance review copy provided by the publisher.
Mia's homecoming after five years away didn't go exactly as planned. The management company she had sent every spare cent to care for the house turns out to have scammed her, and her family home is in ruins. Luckily for her, a friend form the past - who just happens to smell like hers - shows up right when she needs him most. And his pack wants her, too.
I'm pretty sure this is what a fall Hallmark movie would look like if they ever dipped their toe into the omegaverse genre. The plot is largely the pack coming together around their omega, and everything is very cozy with low angst/drama. If that checks the boxes of what you're looking for, pull up a fuzzy blanket and enjoy!
Unfortunately, this didn't quite work for me. There's a wide array of how different authors handle designations and the interactions between them, and this just wasn't my favorite (and that's okay!). These ran a little more animalistic than what I prefer, and it wasn't my preferred interpretation of how omegas interact with their instincts. Mia's sometimes felt like they took over in interactions with her alphas, and I prefer when it doesn't feel quite so forced.
There were some aspects that I appreciated the author including. I love to see a pack dynamic that has some of them men in relationships. So often once the omega is introduced, those relationships become subplots or played down (if they were even there to begin with), so to see Ty and his alphas still have time where Mia isn't the main topic was refreshing.
While a miss for me, I know it has the opportunity to be a great read for others.
Thank you to the author for providing an ARC via Netgalley for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
This is MMFM story packed with favourite beats: scent matches, hurt/comfort, second chances, a protective daddy alpha and a delightfully bratty beta. Expect knotting, nesting moments and primal play, no cheating at all, and a guaranteed happy ending.
Mia Birch spent five years running from her past — but when she finally comes home to Maple Falls, the place she remembered is gone. The house her parents left her is falling apart, and she’s lost and adrift… until a ghost from her old life turns up.
A very solid, broad-shouldered ghost, wrapped in worn flannel, smelling like woodsmoke and something so familiar it tugs right at her heart.
And he’s not alone. Three men are all determined to win her: Jason, the childhood friend who’s carried a torch for her forever; Shane, the ex who broke her heart but never really left it; and Ty, the cheeky beta who aged out of foster care and just wants somewhere to belong.
This is such a warm, cozy small-town Omegaverse “why choose” romance — perfect if you love that safe, soft vibe mixed with deep feeling. There are dreamy woodland cabins, plenty of gentle care, and even a sweet little cross fox called Umbra who’s always poking her nose in where she’s not needed. Mia has to work out whether she can trust this pack that so clearly wants to claim her — and whether she’s ready to let herself stay.
I received this as an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for review. This was my first experience with Omegaverse…. And I’m still reeling lol. I didn’t really know what to expect, it was pretty low-stakes, but the connection and spice were off the charts. The pack was a perfect place for Mia to land after discovering that she had been scammed by the property management firm tasked with maintaining her family home. The pack steps up to save her house in their determined attempt to court her so she’ll accept them as her pack. Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to review this book!
This was absolutely gorgeous. It was cozy and sweet with a touch of spice. You had an established pack who adored each other. 2 alphas and their shared beta mate. Enter Mia, their scent matched omega and they’re all head over heels from the get go. It touched on re-establishing trust, learning to lean on those who love you, and an overall really lovely dynamic. It was low angst, full of cosy vibes and smiles so a really lovely way to spend a couple of evenings.
This book was honestly the comfort read I didn’t know I needed. Give me a cozy small town, autumn atmosphere, second chances, people finding their way back to each other, and enough spice to make a Hallmark movie jealous, and I am SOLD.
It has that warm, feel-good quality where everything feels like a giant blanket, a hot drink, and a crisp fall afternoon—but with considerably more heat. 😂
At the heart of the story is Mia, and I absolutely adored her. She’s sweet without being a pushover, has plenty of sass, and has spent so much time carrying the weight of her past. Watching her slowly learn that she could trust again and allow herself to be loved was such a rewarding part of the story.
And the people around her make it even better.
Ty is such a sweetheart, but I especially enjoyed seeing the moments when his more mischievous side slipped through. He deserves the love he receives, and watching him become comfortable accepting it was incredibly sweet.
Jason was exactly what I wanted from an Apex. Protective, affectionate, steady, and completely devoted to the people he loves. There was something so reassuring about him, especially when it came to Mia and the rest of their pack.
Then we have Shane, who had a much broodier energy but had so much love beneath all those walls. I particularly enjoyed watching him and Mia work through their history and slowly repair their relationship. Their journey added another emotional layer without turning the story into an overwhelming angst-fest.
That’s probably what I enjoyed most about the entire book: the pack.
Every member has their own baggage and wounds they're still trying to navigate, but instead of dealing with everything alone, they have each other. The support, patience, affection, and sense of belonging between them made the pack feel genuinely loving and safe.
Watching them come together around Mia was especially lovely because her journey toward opening herself up becomes part of the larger healing process for everyone.
The romance has that wonderful childhood-best-friend-to-lovers and second-chance flavor, while the overall story stays wonderfully low angst. There’s enough emotional depth to make the characters feel like real people with histories, but it never becomes so heavy that you lose the cozy atmosphere.
And yes, the spice is absolutely there.
This is basically what would happen if a Hallmark fall romance decided it was tired of being innocent and wanted to have some fun. 😂 It’s sweet, comforting, romantic, and definitely spicy enough to keep things interesting.
I finished this one feeling ridiculously happy. It gave me exactly the kind of reading experience I was craving: lovable characters, a warm small-town atmosphere, autumn vibes, healing, found family, second chances, romance, and a pack that genuinely feels like home.
Mia, Ty, Jason, and Shane were such a joy to spend time with, and I loved seeing them find their way toward something that felt safe, loving, and completely theirs.
Sometimes you just need a book that feels like a hug—with a little extra heat.
It is an irresistibly cozy romance that combines the warmth of a small town setting with the emotional intensity of an Omegaverse love story. Set in the charming woodland community of Maple Falls, the novel follows Mia Birch as she returns home after years away, only to find herself confronting old wounds, unfinished relationships, and unexpected possibilities for happiness.
What immediately stands out is the book's atmosphere. Love creates a vivid setting filled with rustic cabins, misty forests, and a sense of comfort that makes Maple Falls feel like a character in its own right. The cozy aesthetic balances the emotional stakes beautifully, giving readers a story that feels both comforting and deeply engaging.
Mia is a compelling protagonist whose journey centers on healing and rediscovering trust. Having spent years running from her past, she returns vulnerable but resilient. Her relationships with Jason, Shane, and Ty form the emotional heart of the novel. Jason, the devoted childhood friend, brings steadiness and warmth; Shane provides the tension of a second-chance romance; and Ty adds humor, charm, and emotional depth. Together, their dynamic feels surprisingly balanced and believable within the "why choose" romance framework.
One of the book's greatest strengths is its focus on found family and belonging. Beneath the romance lies a story about creating a safe place, both emotionally and physically. The concept of nesting is used not only as an Omegaverse trope but also as a metaphor for healing, acceptance, and building a home with people who truly care for one another.
The romance itself is tender and affectionate, with plenty of hurt-comfort moments that will appeal to readers who enjoy emotionally driven relationships. While the novel includes familiar Omegaverse elements such as scent matching and pack dynamics, it approaches them through a softer, more comforting lens than many books in the genre.
Thank you Michelle and Netgalley for the reader copy!!
🍁 A Nest of Maple & Mist (Maple Falls #1) by Michelle Love
🌟4.5 stars
🌶️ Spice: 5 out of 5 🥵😍
❤️Thank you to Michelle for the approved e-ARC chance and the platform, Netgalley, thank you!
🫶Review: First of all, I really like the overall story. The theme of small town, Mia coming back even though the house was still broken because this place holds memories of her childhood and her parents.
Second of all, the MM in here is perfect, I love how they are all together except between the alphas but it's all good because the pack brother love between them is cute as well.
Third of all, I really enjoyed how the story went because after reading a lot of small town omegaverse, things can tend to be a little predictable but this book isn't, it goes to another direction when I think it's going here and I had fun with it, it makes things interesting and hooked to keep reading and reading.
Overall I'm just really happy that I have found a new book to read from a new author, I can't wait for more future books in this series.
Oh and the grovelling is really good, I didn't expect it to be that way but it was shocking and touching and so sweet that when Mia and Shane got back together again, I was so happy for them, for the pack.
Lastly, I wish this book will have a good release and be loved by many because it's not bad and I really like the spice, hehe.
Oh how I just wished there is more chapters to read, this is DEFINITELY not enough haha😆 I don't want their story to end, I want to see more of them🥺 Hope we can see more of the Hawthorne Pack in the future installments of the series🫶🤞
A Nest of Maple and Mist is Michelle Love’s latest novel set in the cozy, small town of Maple Falls and follows the story of Mia Birch as she returns to her hometown years after a tragic accident left her heartbroken and alone. Her homecoming does not start off as smoothly as she may have hoped when she discovers her childhood home was not as “looked after” as she was led to believe. With nowhere else to go and no means to secure other lodging, she accepts the offer of a place to stay with the Hawthorne Pack:
• Jason, the former boy next door turned Apex Alpha and head of the Hawthorne pack, who will do anything and everything for his omega.
• Shane, the high school sweetheart ex-boyfriend who shattered her heart and is now hoping for a second chance at love and being worthy of her forgiveness.
• Ty, the sweet pack beta who loves to share his boyfriends with his sweet girl, whom he had once secretly pined for from a distance.
With the help from friends old and new (and a cute & curious fox companion), Mia learns to accept the circumstances that she never before dared to consider for herself. Finding family and a place to call home, Mia forges a new path to acceptance, happiness, and love.
Michelle's expressive writing always comes across through the vivid imagery and storytelling she portrays in her novels. This is another one of her novels that I thoroughly enjoyed!

A Nest of Maple & Mist is a deliciously hot mug of cocoa with a hit of chilli, and exactly what my heart needed. I finished it feeling warm, fuzzy, emotionally nourished... and just a little feral 😂🍁
The book follows Mia as she returns to Maple Falls after five years away and unexpectedly finds herself reconnecting with three men from her past: childhood friend Jason, ex-boyfriend Shane, and flirty beta Ty. And, of course, Umbra, the treatie-nabbing fox because I am physically incapable of resisting a sassy animal sidekick.
The romance and relationship are very much the plot of this story, and I absolutely loved that. Give me less unnecessary external drama and more people figuring out how to love, support and rail each other respectfully, thank you very much. 😂
There is plenty of heat, but it never overshadows the softness. The hurt/comfort, second-chance romance and delicious daddy-alpha energy are balanced with genuinely tender emotional moments, giving the spice a little more depth. It's cosy without being boring, spicy without losing its heart.
This was my first introduction to Michelle Love’s writing, and I already know it won’t be my last. I loved every warm, spicy and slightly feral moment, and I am now preparing to trawl through her entire backlog like the perfectly reasonable and restrained reader I clearly am. 🦊🍁🩷
I found this book wholesome. It was a cozy small-town read. It was another second chance for everybody in different ways. The story had a lot of cute moments and groveling, which is my favorite. I love how the pack becomes whole as soon as the FMC appears, and let me tell you, I love that there’s a beta!
The main FMC, Mia, is dealing with a family loss and being scammed. Her childhood home is falling apart before her very eyes, and she has nowhere to go except Jason, her childhood friend, who sees her and can't pull away.
They go to his home, where she meets the rest of the pack. The beta, Ty, who had a crush on her when she was living in the city, and Shane, her first love who broke her heart. They are all working on showing Mia that it is okay to rely on them, that they are the end goal. Their own traumas allow them to relate and open up to each other. Mia adores Ty, which is my favorite because he was so worried that he wouldn’t be enough while Mia thought that wanting a beta was not an omega trait.
It was wholesome watching their journey, how they grew to support each other and have patience. The relationship between the alphas and the beta was a bonus. It shows that love is for everyone and when it’s time, it will come back to you. The spice was very, very nice, especially the forest scene. If you know, you know. If you are in the mood for a cozy romance giving Hallmark vibes, then this is the book for you.

Mia returns to her hometown of Maple Falls years after hiding from her past. She bumps into her childhood friend Jason who offers her a place to stay in his farm.
She runs into her ex Shane who happens to work on Jason’s farm and is someone who years before broke her heart when she needed him the most and even though she never forgave him it didn’t stop her love for him. And then there’s Ty, who only wants to be loved and find a family to call his own.
These three men are determined to make Mia theirs, they recognise her as their Omega, the missing part to complete their pack.
“ᴡᴇ ᴡᴇʀᴇ ᴍᴇᴀɴᴛ ꜰᴏʀ ʏᴏᴜ. ᴀɴᴅ ʏᴏᴜ ꜰᴏʀ ᴜꜱ.”
They will pamper her the way an Omega should be pampered, she’s been alone for too long but they will show her, she belongs with them. All her worries disappear when she’s with them. They are her home, her pack, her family 💕
This was such a cozy read, I love the pack dynamic, Jason who is the Apex Alpha, the dominant one of the pack, who also gives off ‘Daddy’ vibes. Shane who’s also an Alpha carries a guilt for the way he left things with Mia and Ty the Beta of the pack I just wanted to give him the biggest hug because all he wanted was a family and to be loved! Mia I loved how she was able to show her vulnerable side and how her mates were gentle with her, how they cherished her💕 I loved the whole autumn vibes as well, it makes me want to pack my bags and move to Maple Falls 🍁🦊🧡
Flannels. Woodsmoke. Maple trees. A mischievous fox. Boyfriends are Boyfriends. Three men. One guarded Omega. I was never going to survive this! And honestly? Why am I completely okay with that?
This story is basically autumn in book form… think cozy small-town vibes, all the spice, and warm-and-fuzzy feels. I loved seeing Mia bond with the other omegas (their little club is hilarious), and the “Baby Girl” and “Good Girl” nicknames?! No words needed. I also really enjoyed getting to know the Hawthorne pack and watching that found-family bond grow throughout their journey and healing together.
I loved the mix of second chance, childhood friends-to-lovers, and rekindled connections between a protective “Daddy” Apex alpha, a bratty yet sweet beta, a broody alpha, and a guarded, independent omega who’s slowly learning that it’s okay to feel safe, cared for, and loved.
And Umbra? Absolutely ADORABLE 🦊
If you want cozy fall vibes with a LOT more heat that makes you blush than your average Hallmark movie, add this one to your list of fall reads!

I really loved this book from start to finish. I finished it in about 24 hours. It's a really good Omegaverse with fall vibes. We follow Mia who moves back to hometown after college and losing her parents. When she comes back, she finds her family home in shambles and not taken care of after she paid a management company to take care of it. There she runs into her childhood best friend Jason who she scent matches to right away but tries to deny it. He makes her go to his pack house to be safe and to have somewhere to get her things figured out. Jason has been in love with Mia forever and now is his chance. There she meets Ty the beta mate to Jason and their other alpha. But come to find out she has met Ty before at a coffee shop right by her college. And he is also her scent match. Then she finds out that the other alpha is her ex-boyfriend Shane who broke her heart severely and she still holds a grudge. And to make matters worse he is also her scent match. They all fall for her pretty hard, but she struggles to let Shane in because of their past. There is a lot of groveling, courting, courting gifts, and spice. Mia also struggles with letting her Omega side come out and be who she is meant to be. The guys all help her discover who she is and who she is meant to be. This is a really beautiful story. I can't wait for the next book.
Once again, Michelle was generous enough to give me the opportunity to ARC read this story. And let me say... I'm only slightly obsessed with Pack Hawthorne... I love them, your honor!
This is a cozy, horny, small town, Hallmark movie-esque, why choose, omegaverse with some amazing characters.
Mia, Jason, Shane, and Ty are absolutely perfect for each other - each bringing something to the relationship that creates a profound bond between them. They are supportive, loving, proud of each other's accomplishments, and extremely protective of each member of the pack.
Their dynamics throughout the story are top-notch. You've got banter, Mia spiraling (because, what do you mean three gorgeous, flannel wearing hotties want to date me?), deep connections, and some serious spice (some of the boyfriends are boyfriends, you guys!).
If you enjoy snuggly fall vibes, a little chasing through the woods (in a sexy way), and a Daddy Alpha who wants to take care of his good boy/girl, then this is the right book for you!
A huge and never ending thank you to Michelle for gracing us with this gorgeous story and amazing characters!
I was able to read this book a little early so thank you so much! I am a big Michelle love fan, loving one of her other books which is another Omegaverse! I feel like my review was impacted by the fact that I came off reading some super unhinged Omegaverse so coming to a sweet one was a bit of a difference.
I will say the fall vibes in this book were so perfect and it truly had such a cozy feel! This book although it has some drama overall is very low angst. It also involves a pack that already had a bonded betta but I really enjoyed how the FMC had connections with all of the guys from before they knew about the mate Bond.
Also, I'm normally not bothered by too many nicknames, but honestly the nickname Daddy at times kind of gave me the ick, but that's definitely a me problem. XD
This book is definitely worth your time though if you're a fan of these tropes:
boyfriends are boyfriends cozy small town setting Omegaverse flannel deliciously smelling Alphas AND A Chasing Scene!!!! 👀
Love can look many different ways!! I stepped into the Omegaverse and loved every second of it. This is a story of love in an unusual fashion. MMFM - fated mates - second chance romance - cozy small-town romance - why choose - Alpha/Omega/Beta - scent match - bonding. Oh and a cute fox named Umbra who is always popping up out of nowhere. Mia loses her parents in a car accident, inherits her childhood home but wants to be as far away from her hometown as possible. After years away, attending college, she returns to the town she once called home only to be devastated by the run down, unkept home she grew up in. Realization hits that during her years away, she was being scammed by a property management company who took all her inheritance funds and who had no intentions of keeping up the home while she was away. Feeling defeated and lonely - she runs into Jason Hawthorne, her childhood friend who she later finds out is the Apex Alpha to another Alpha and Beta looking for their Omega to complete their pack. It was love at first scent!!

4.5⭐️ I really enjoyed this! Super low stakes and low angst, it really delivered on the cozy it promised with an autumn backdrop.
From the beginning you could really feel the emotions of the characters: despair, longing, though don’t get me wrong, it’s still a light read, just with some bumps along the way.
Mia had to take care of herself and was alone for so long, that being with the pack was such a breath of fresh air and a heavy burden lifted off her shoulders. It was so nice to see her relax into the embrace of the pack, especially Jason, who was an “Apex” alpha. I loved that addition of a more dominant alpha to the world building of the author’s omegaverse.
I really liked the group of omega friends she had. I hope we’ll get their stories, too. And the fox was such a cute addition.
Loved that there was a romantic relationship between some of the guys. There’s a good primal scene as well.
I’m excited to read the dark omegaverse the author has!
Thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for this ARC! All opinions are my own.
I was really excited to read an Omegaverse romance that was set in the fall! The setting was cozy! The majority of the story takes place on a Maple Tree farm, and the author did a great job of describing the setting including details like chill and leaves which made me feel like I was really there in Maple Falls in the fall season! This is the first Omegaverse that I’ve read where the Omega mated with an entire pack, so that was different for me, but I liked that the pack consisted of our Omega (Mia Birch), a Beta (Ty) and two Alphas, one an Apex Alpha (Jason) and then a regular Alpha (Shane). I enjoyed the fact that they all had a past together, though in different ways, and I thought it was interesting to see Mia go through her first heat living in the house with this Pack who wanted her to join them! I enjoyed this read and would definitely recommend it to someone who likes Omegaverse reads and likes a cozy fall romance.

A Nest of Maple & Mist by Michelle Love
🍂 Second Chance 🍂 Why Choose 🍂 Men in Flannels 🍂 Hallmark Vibes 🍂 Fox Companion 🍂Friends to Lovers 🍂 Small town Romance
This was such a lovely read and introduction to books by Michelle Love. This Vermont inspired book intends to be a cozy, relaxing, low-stress, and fun autumn read and it does exactly that!🍂
I quickly fell in love with Mia’s calming demeanor and I would have to say I am a Jason fan! Jason is always looking out for Mia and makes sure that no one pushes her boundaries or makes her uncomfortable.
The girlies play DnD in this book and I really enjoyed the friendships between the women in this small town romance! Highly recommend this one for the fall reader who wants to cozy up with some maple treats, a warm tea and a relaxing evening read! There is also an adorable fox named Umbra. 🦊
This was such a spicy and cozy read, and I would’ve read it in a day if I didn’t have to adult. It was so captivating, and the setting reminded me of Gilmore Girls and a Hallmark movie. Just perfect autumn vibes!
The atmosphere in this book was so cozy, and as someone who loves autumn, I was completely swept away by the beautiful descriptions and all the amazing coffee.
The characters were described beautifully, and I loved getting to know them and seeing their personalities come through. And I absolutely loved the little fox, Umbra!
The way Michelle writes is amazing, and she truly knows how to write great spice and incredible tension. I could really feel the tension and emotions between the characters, which made the story even more captivating.
I just love a good omegaverse with multi-POV, and this book completely swept me away with the Hawthorne pack!
When Mia returns to her hometown five years after losing her parents, she finds herself facing a difficult fresh start. With nowhere else to turn, she has to navigate old memories, unfinished feelings, and a life that looks nothing like she expected. 🏡💔
This was such a cute, clean, and romantic why-choose story! 💕 Jason, the Apex Alpha, Shane, Mia’s ex, and Ty, a beta, each brought something special to Mia’s journey. I especially loved seeing the care they showed her and the way they worked to make sure she felt safe, supported, and comfortable. 🥹✨
The emotional moments, sweet romance, and found-family-like support made this a really enjoyable read—especially during Mia’s heat. 🔥🐺
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4-star read!
Thank you, NetGalley, for my ARC. This is my honest review.
First of all, HUGE thanks to the author for an ARC of this book! It was a great book and a wonderful opportunity!
I honestly to goodness think that this book covered all of my favorite tropes!! Childhood best friend, second chance and love at first sight (okay not quite but let’s be honest, it was love at first sight for Ty)? All in one book? SWOON!
The found family between pack members as well as the D&D group was wonderful to see. Nerdy, nerdy women are just so much fun to see and I honest to goodness CAN NOT WAIT to read about her friends falling in love.
The different gifts that each pack mate gave the FMC were so well thought out and unique and I adored it. The second chance didn’t feel rushed, and I thought that a lot of heavier stuff was dealt with very nicely.
Just a wonderful book with lots of characters you can’t help but fall for!!! Congrats! Happy release day!!!
This was exactly what I needed to read right now. Standalone, cozy, spicy, fall vibes. If you've always wanted Hallmark movies to have spice this one hits that. It is small town, fall, second chance, childhood best friend turned lover, overcoming hardship and a good amount of spice.
All of the characters had gone through stuff in their past that they are all still dealing with in some way and their pack really helps them with those emotions and feelings. Watching Mia learn to open up and trust again was so well done. And seeing the way they all come together to make such a loving pack ❤️
Tropes Fall vibes Omegaverse Scent Match MMFM Why Choose Group scenes MM Scenes
Oh this was everything I want in a cozy romance. Gives me hallmark vibes x3 (x5 if you include the guys relationships) I devoured this. During the fall and winter you will absolutely catch me watching new hallmark movies and this just set the tone for the season for me,
Ty. Sweet baby child Ty. He stole my heart and I don’t want it back ever. Mia really starts to blossom the more she embraces her inner omega. The guys and her new friends were really good for her. They pushed when needed and when not.
There were some obstacles to overcome for them to get their hea but it’s worth the bumpy ride. This town, these people, this universe, I really enjoyed getting to know them and would love more of it in the future.
This was literally smutty hallmark and I loved every second! It was sweet, cozy and spicy and left me smiling and feeling like I just read a warm hug. Mia was sweet and sassy and I'm so glad she finally got the love she needed. Ty was a sweetheart but I absolutely loved when his brat came out and it was nice seeing him fully embrace the love he deserved. Jason was protective and loving and the perfect Apex. And Shane was broody but loved with all he had and I really enjoyed seeing him and Mia repair their relationship. They worked so well together as a pack and the storyline was perfectly low angst and comfort!
After being gone for 5 yrs, Mia comes home and is consumed to scents and outdoor life. She found 3 amazing men that romance her. I enjoyed this small town cozy love story. This story is a fun and cute read that i enjoyed reading.
She returned home after years of hiding from her past. Except home wasn’t where she thought it was.
A Nest of Maple & Mist is a cozy and spicy omegaverse standalone and I binged it all in one go today! It's romance-focused, so the why-choose pack romance pretty much *is* the plot, but if you want a spicy and romantic read for Autumn (where some of the boyfriends are boyfriends too) then this will be a perfect read! I liked that all of the individual relationships were covered, and not just Ty, Shane and Jason's individual relationships with FMC Mia!
