Finding Alaina

Rate this book
Christian Romance: Finding Alaina [Contemporary Christian Romance]

Alaina Wester loves the big city of Atlanta, because she can hide easily. She’s recently graduated and has just landed a new job as an accountant for a large, stable firm, and she can finally afford an apartment all to herself. At last, Alaina feels like she can simply do her work, make a profit, and read books.

When Alaina’s church Minett Church asks for volunteers, on a whim Alaina sends an email letting them know to sign her up for the coffee ministry, or even better, the tech team. Either way, Alaina figures that volunteering should be easy, not too time-consuming, and perfectly in her comfort zone.

Except that somehow, either accidentally or intentionally, the secretary of Minett Church sends Alaina’s information to someone else, and Alaina ends up at the volunteer meeting for working with and playing with orphaned children every Saturday. It’s going to be way more time than Alaina had anticipated, it’s a very extroverted activity, and it’s in an area that she’s not very experienced with – kids.

But Alaina is instantly drawn to the volunteer leader, Brannon Chamberlain. He’s good-looking, great with kids, and has a heart for God, but he’s also mysterious. And, he’s always taking care of his little sister, Lucy Chamberlain.

To Alaina’s shock, she finds out Lucy isn’t Brannon’s sister, but his daughter. Alaina is surprised, but Brannon is open about his past. Alaina continues to be drawn by Brannon and Lucy. Then, when an emergency draws Alaina and Brannon together, Alaina can’t help but wonder if maybe God has something greater for her than just stretching her in volunteering.

This book is a full, stand alone christian romance novel with no cliffhangers. It is a romance novella that contains drama, suspense and christian values.
