Five years ago Tristan failed someone in the worst possible way. Since then he has been living a colorless life. School, work, hanging with friends, is done to keep busy. He has to keep busy to keep the horrible memories away. Then Katelyn comes barreling into his life. She's beautiful and sweet, bubbly and funny, and definitely way too good for him. He tries to keep his distance but she's hellbent on being his friend, and boy is she persistent. Soon he finds himself giving in, if only to put that earth shattering smile on her gorgeous face. the more he sees it, the more he seems to want it. Finally he opens up about his haunted past and things are good, so good, of course nothing stays that good for long. His past comes knocking and it's like a punch in the gut.

'Kate, Kate, Kate. I want you. But I know I shouldn't. I don't want to hurt you, beautiful girl. Give me what I don't know I want.'

I loved the mystery aspect to the story. From the beginning I knew there would a big reveal and I found myself trying to figure it out as I continued reading. Kate is such a cute and quirky character. She infiltrated Tristan's life and wouldn't be pushed away. Tristan was that haunted soul that we females always seem to be attracted to, and even though he was a little rude initially it was only because he didn't want to get too close to anyone. Although, once he decided what he wanted to went full force. He was constant and unabating.

This story left me misty eyed and with a huge smile on my face. The writing was great and I loved how the story unfolded, mostly staying in the present but bringing flashbacks of the past as well. This story started off as a heart wrenching read that ended up warming my heart.

'Kate made me see the world in color again...'

For A Reason is an amazing debut novel and will take you on one crazy ride.

For A Reason is intriguing and well written. I absolutely adored Tristan. He’s just trying to make it through life, one day at a time. He blames himself for the loss of his best friend and has a major case of survivor guilt. The last thing he was expecting was Katelyn. Katelyn slowly forced her way into Tristan’s life and made him come alive again. However, everything isn’t as it seems. Katelyn is keeping a huge secret that has the power to destroy everything…

One of the things I loved the most about this book was trying to figure out what was going on. I knew that something wasn’t quiet adding up, but I didn’t really know what was going on. I was on the edge of my seat, trying to solve this riddle. I was no way expecting or prepared for the plot twist that was coming my way. To say it surprised me would be a complete understatement. The twist was utterly brilliant. I had a complete WTF moment. And just when I’m finally accepting the twist that was thrown at me, I was once again, thrown another curve ball.

For A Reason was a really enjoyable read. I couldn’t read it fast enough and ended up finishing it in one sitting. This book was filled with mystery, suspense, drama and of course romance. The chemistry between Kate and Tristan was absolutely scorching; the two of them literally melting the pages.

T.N. Cole is definitely an author to watch out for and I’m really looking forward to reading more from her in the future!

This book took me a little by surprise. It started out as a typical love story. However, about two-thirds of the way in, it took some twists and turns. I enjoyed the dual POVs throughout the story. Tristan has a tragedy in his past that causes him to build walls around himself. He then meets Katelyn who gradually starts eroding those walls. They seem to have similar life experiences and certain events occur that bring out Tristan's protective instincts. As the story plays out and Tristan learns the truth about Katelyn, he is forced to face his past and realize what is truly important to him. I really liked the twist to the story which made it rise above your typical romance. I received an ARC from the author which I greatly appreciated!

5 AMAZING, WONDERFUL, HONEST, HEARTFELT, AWESOME DEBUT Stars

Wow. What an absolutely fantastic debut novel! Not only did FOR A REASON have a fantastic story line, but it was SO well written, and I was surprised how much I liked that most of the book is told from Tristan’s point of view. I read it in two sittings, and it would have been one sitting if I hadn’t had to go to orientation at school. :)

Watching Katelyn crawl under Tristan’s skin, and affect him on a level that he hadn’t felt in a VERY long time was fun, funny, exciting…and although a lot of hard parts came along the way, making me sad, angry, and a whole host of other emotions, it was really beautiful.

I don't want to give anything away, but there were so many moments, especially at the end, where I was so, SO proud of Tristan! (And Katelyn sometimes too.) It made me cry, and I just wanted to hug him, and thank him for being a real man.

I honestly can't recommend this book enough!

I am in.love. Oh Tristan...the level of love I have for this character is off the charts. An amazing debut novel by an author that is sure to leave her mark in the industry.

I don't believe in spoilers but I will say....lies, deceit, manipulation, friendship, commitment and undeniable true love. All the makings for a beautiful story that is more than a romance, it is a harsh look at how lives can forever change with one irrational and selfish decision.

If you love JLA you will love TN Cole. For a Reason will take you on an emotional ride and then smack you in the face when you think you have it all figured out. Wonderfully written and oh yeah, the sex scenes? Scorching.

4 ½ out of 5 stars

This book had me on the edge of my seat a lot of the novel because I was concerned for Tristan and what was going to happen to him. I’m sure the the author didn’t intend for this to be a suspense novel, but I felt very much like something was going to happen every time I turned the page.

The story has a very tragic beginning and I think I read it very pessimistically for the longest time. I’m not a pessimist by nature but something just kept making me crazy about Katelyn and Tristan and the mystery notes. BUT I was also optimistic that somehow Katelyn and Tristan would find their HEA because they both deserved happiness so much.

Tristan is still dealing with the death of his best friend from five years ago. It was a tragic accident and he was severely hurt in the same accident as well. He has already gone through alcohol as a possible solution and chosen to just stay as busy as possible instead. he hopes that working out, tutoring and just staying on top of his studies wears him out enough that he doesn’t have to worry about waking from nightmares. He also refuses to give his heart to anyone ever again knowing that if he does it will just break him further.

Now enter Katelyn. After only knowing her for a short time, Tristan found himself being drawn to her on a deeper level than ever before.

All of a sudden, we were standing chest to chest. I couldn’t breathe from the intensity of her gaze--yet, I couldn’t look away. I found myself getting lost in the dark pools of her eyes.

He immediately remembers that he can’t like her. He can’t kiss her. He can’t be anything more than just someone to help her make other friends. Katelyn however isn’t going to let him get by with that.

At a quarter of the way through the book, I was so glad that she was there for him. I was so glad she wasn’t letting him hide in his self-loathing and keep everyone at a distance. I wanted them to work out so much that I found myself really cheering for them despite the mystery notes and the stalking that was going on around them.

I was so happy to “hear” Kate telling Tristan just how much she loved him and how much he deserved her:

“You deserve all of me and more, Tristan. And you have me. Mind, body, heart...it’s all yours. Even if I had a choice, there’s no one else in the world who I would want to give myself to other than you.”

It was the perfect thing to say to him and I just hoped he could really hear it...but I don’t want to tell you everything that happens, so just go buy this amazing book and find out for yourself what an amazing story Ms Cole weaves with these characters. I can’t wait to read more from her!!! 4 ½ out of 5 stars

For a Reason by T.N. Cole is a standalone book. I would highly recommend going into this story “blind” trust me, it will be worth it. I always read at least a few reviews on a book that I am about to read but sometimes I will go into a story “blind” as I did with this one. I am so darn glad that I did not read any reviews beforehand and it was the best move I could have made with this story.

This was a story about love, heartache, heartbreak, forgiveness, and most of all second chances. It was so unique, mysterious and so refreshing and I enjoyed it immensely. Now, although this is not a second chance love story as in the literal sense, it most definitely is a second chance story on love and living life to it’s fullest. It’s about learning through tragedies, learning to let go, and it’s definitely about learning to love yourself as well as opening up to new possibilities that life has to offer you. My famous saying in life is that I truly believe that all things happen for a reason and so the title of this book for me, was nothing less than perfect. Once I started this story, I couldn’t put it down. It gripped me from the very start and held me until I finished, it was that good.

Tristan, oh my, he was just everything I love in a book boyfriend. He was beautiful, he was smart, he was a five alarm fire in my mind, hehehe, and yet inside he was a very conflicted and broken young man. I loved him fiercely but yet at times, I wanted to slap him for being so blind to what was right in front of him!

Katelyn, oh wow, I had a serious girl crush going on for her. She was beautiful inside and out, she was wild, crazy and free-spirited, she was just so in touch with herself and more importantly with Tristan and it was mesmerizing to watch their relationship build. Now this was a slow burn but I tell you, it was just spectacular and perfect and done just so right. The sexual tensions were flying straight off of my Kindle and when they finally get “together” it’s beyond amazing. Now don’t be fooled into thinking that this is just an “emotional” read, oh no, the sex scenes in this book were perfect. They were everything I love to read about. Hot, commanding, hard and soft, gosh, the sex between Tristan and Kate was some of the best I have read about!!!!!

Now why only 4.5 star and not a 5 star you may be wondering, well, I guess for me personally it was the “twist” that happened around the 75% or so mark and I just found it “odd” and I didn’t particularly like it. I didn’t feel it was a good enough “twist” for this story. I think this story in particular, because it was so unique, deserved so much better if that makes sense. There could have been other “twists” thrown in for me that would have added so much more “credibility” to this story. I don’t want to give anything away and so I hope that when you get to the “twist” you may have a better understanding of where I am coming from. Another part of my deduction was the way it was handled. I would have liked to have seen it played out differently between Tristan and Kate. Much more “drama” and angst” for me was needed for Kate to redeem herself to Tristan. I already didn’t like the twist so maybe if Tristan and Kate’s interactions after the reveal were made more believable to me then it could have “saved” the twist but it didn’t and so for most of the last quarter of the book, I had to deduct a half of a star.

Tristan and Kate’s relationship for me was raw, real, moving, touching, the sexual chemistry between them was sky high, it was simply beautiful and with the exception of a couple of minor personal issues, it was nearly perfect. The ending was brilliant, absolutely perfect and so well deserved, I LOVED it!

This was my first book by this author and for me it was simply fantastic. The storyline was great with a very minor exception (my own personal feelings), it was seamless, flawless, and most importantly, it was beautifully executed. The writing was impeccable, it flowed together perfectly without missing a beat and kept me glued to my seat from start to finish. This may have been my first reading by T.N. Cole but it definitely won’t be my last.

**MEGAN'S 4.25 STAR REVIEW**

This book. My heavens!!

I loved the suspense, the characters, the not so cliché fall, I loved the storyline, and I loved the fact that this wasn’t the overdone boring characters with the same type of storyline I see over and over and OVER.

I’m a thinker. I can’t help it. So the fact that in Chapter one I had my first thought about the plot and then, in Chapter 4, had a new one, I was smiling. I said hmmmm…. I wonder how this will play out. Certain words, looks, and thoughts gave things away for me and I always try my hardest not to let it affect my judgement. If I figure the book out that’s on me, right…yeah, not always. If the crumbs are big enough then nope. Chop them baby’s up- puree em. Although, the clues given in For a Reason, helped guide me to figure some points out, it didn’t give me everything. I loved that I was constant spinning my thoughts trying hard to get it before it was given. I thought I had added all my clues up and had at least one important piece of the puzzle. I thought I had the who, I was close but even if my guess was right it didn’t mean a thing because I didn’t get the why’s. The why’s are the most important.

Her head snapped up, eyes widening in surprise. Sucker punch to the gut. Her eyes were dark brown, almost black. They reminded me so much of Mel’s, although the girl standing in front of me was striking in her own right.

Sometimes, figuring out the plot or subplot helps the understanding along the way. Just as I’m trying to guess what’s going on, I’m also guessing what is up with this character. And for Katelyn she came on the page like a whirlwind. WHOOSH. Almost so fast I thought I missed something. She seemed all knowing, a firecracker with Tristan, even with her speech of needing friends she just too much from the get go. It was as though…….. If I didn’t over think and figure some plots out I probably wouldn’t have like Katelyn as much as I did.

“From what I’ve seen- which isn’t much, I know- I think you’re harvesting a lot of guilt. I also think it’s all self-induced. And that you’ve been doing it to yourself for so long that you’ve forgotten that you’re alive.”

I mostly enjoyed the main characters urge towards each other. Urge is such the perfect word! It didn’t happen right off the bat, they had zero instant love, which I absolutely LOVED. I want to see the work and the climb and not the quick swoosh to happily ever after. They were pushed to a friendship and it worked. As their friendship became easier their next step was inevitable.

We stared at each other as our chests heaved from the shouting. The foot of space between us felt electric. I ran my hand through my hair, yanking at the ends. “F**k this,” I swore. We reached for each other at the same time and out mouths slammed together, tasting of desperation and passion.

I went back and forth between a 4 & 4.5 star rating for this one. I ended up sitting happily in the middle of the two. I didn’t think giving a flat 4 was any justice. Hence my crazy 4.25! Even though I truly loved the story there were some pretty big plot reveals that just didn’t sit well with me. It was too easy. Too square. While these plot reveals were a complete shock I think the reasoning behind it wasn’t all that real. I loved that Tristan and Kate actually knew each other and didn’t give in as truths were revealed. Also, as stated there were things that I easily loved and then there were things that just weren’t filling me. I can’t say-now, (without spoiling the big plot) that I didn’t like it but during my reading process when it happened it separated things for me. I actually tried to ignore it. As if it wasn’t part of the book. Now, at the end when you know everything and there is no longer dark bubbles you are constantly trying to figure out- you get it.

I guess this is a pretty bad review because I didn’t give you much. But if you read this review and from it say ‘I think I need to see what this all means’, after you’ve finished For a Reason you’ll see how I made all the sense in the world here!

This has me mixed. This isn’t bad I am just mixed. I love Tristan. I love how he feels everything and takes on burdens. I love that when he loves it is with everything in him. I love that he can be sweet and kind once he allowed himself to let someone in. I love that he has such a forgiving nature. I didn’t like how with all that Katelyn did he forgave so easily. Let me elaborate. She could have destroyed him and he didn’t even get upset. All he did was say that love has him and he can never let her go. That’s romantic but still. She tried to destroy you and your family. She was complicit in a horrible revenge plot to completely destroy and shatter him and he takes it with stride because of love. He should at least be angry and feel hurt and a little distrust. Yes the person behind it all was off their rocker but still…

Katelyn I am mixed about. She is sweet and adorable but she is also frustrating. And some of the things she did wow. I mean the party scene to go to those lengths was just horrid. I understand why but truly there has to be a point where you say enough and go with right and wrong. She was good for Tristan and helped him get through his demons and begin to move on. she helped him begin to get a better relationship with his mom and she did love Tristan just some of her actions were really horrible. I do feel for her though because of what her family did and how they were.

This starts out like some romances, you have one riddled with guilt and punishing themselves by pushing everyone away. By not letting anyone in. Than comes the one who pushes the boundaries and breaks through. The transformation of Tristan was amazing when this occurs. He becomes softer around the edges and learns to be himself again. Than this deviates because it takes on some darker elements. The notes and stalker to remind them of what they did isn’t unusual but the twist to it was. You see more cynical reasons behind it. And the reason was seriously a twist I didn’t see. I suspected something completely different. That was some seriously good writing to keep the twists and turns and dakness that hidden like that. It keeps you on your toes for sure.

The book is mired with feelings of angst, guilt and revenge but also love and forgiveness of oneself and others. We see a young man move on and forgive himself while he falls in love. We see lies forgiven and strange twist with reveals that knock you off your feet. A book that keeps you guessing about who is behind the danger while you watch a young man find himself and let love in.

I'll admit that I didn't originally set out to read For A Reason, but once I decided to, I was truly excited about reading it! Charmed was my favorite show growing up and it made me a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and that is what drew me to this book the most. And I'm glad for the circumstance that caused me to pick this book up, because I was meant to read it and I really loved it!!

Katelyn is a great heroine! She's one of those happy people who light up a room or person just by being who they are. Kate is strong, stubborn and determined - she's fierce and she challenges Tristan to be better and live. Kate is not perfect, she messes up and has doubts sometimes, but she's just such a gem with her kindness, sweetness, and happiness that I couldn't have not loved her!

And man, I loooooved Tristan too! It's true that I love me a good, tortured hero who is closed off and broody or a loner. I love seeing them come back from their darkness into the light again and I love how they are they are with their heroine and the same goes with Tristan. Oh my gosh, he's is soooo good with her! Yeah, he definitely has his jerk moments and he tries to fight her off and push her away, but boy, once he decides that she's his - whoo-ee - he's all hot and protective and possessive. Tristan is totally sigh and shiver worthy with all his alpha maleness that I just loved him and I know you will too!

For A Reason made my heart ache, it made me laugh and giggle, and it made me so frustrated I would yell and rant. It confused me and drove me crazy with all the mystery and suspense - I had a few theories, but Ms. Cole definitely kept me guessing and eager for everything to be revealed. It was a fantastic book and I'm looking forward to seeing what Ms. Cole comes up with next!

For A Reason is a standalone, it's mostly told from Tristan's POV, but we do hear a little from Katelyn, and they do get a HEA that will make you sigh and make you feel all warm and toasty inside!

I received a copy of this book in return for leaving an honest review. 4.5 stars.
Let's see if I can explain my 4.5 stars without giving anything away.
First off, I really enjoyed this book. It was a bit slow and repetitive in spots but not enough to take away from the story or cause me to not want to read it. I really liked that at first we have no clue as to what is really going on, you get to form theories on your own until pieces start coming together and then you get to rework what you already know to make it all fit. I honestly thought at first, when things started to come together that the rest of the book was going to go down the predictable road, but thankfully it took some twists and turns and caught me by suprise a few times. If that was all there was to it I would have given For A Reason 5 stars. Now for the tricky part. I found a part of this story to forgiving. But that may be just the way I am wired. I believe in forgiveness but not a wham bam thank you ma'am absolute type thing. Given the circumstances I think forgiveness was a good thing but maybe it should had been worked for. Instead of an instant thing. I've seen it happen in real life and it still baffles the crap outta me. So like I said I think it's more of a personal thing than anything that was done by the writer. I hope Mel gets her own story. As much as I LOVE Tristan and Kate I want to know more about Mel.

Sinking deeper

First things first, I feel the need to point out that I am not a fan of romance...at least I didn't used to be. B.C. Burgess began to change my mind on romance novels with her amazing series, and now, T.N. Cole, an author I discovered thanks in part to Burgess, has worked to further thaw my icy view on dance novels in general.

I usually review books using the pro vs con format, but with this one I decided to rate it based purely on how much I enjoyed it (I think I'll be doing that more often). This book was such an emotional roller coaster! Tristan is a main character you can't help but want to punch, yell at, forgive and console all at once. The pain he felt after blaming himself for Mel's death is nearly palpable, and I couldn't help but to think that this guy was a masochist at certain points in the story.

Kate on the other hand, a much-needed ray of sunshine, bursts into Tristan's life and causes him (and me) to fall in love with her. I really would love to meet my own real-life Kate. That's not to say that she didn't have her faults, because she did. It's just that these two complemented one another so we'll, the basically cancelled out each other's faults.

Watching their relationship develop throughout the book was such an...experience. That's the most fitting term I can think of. I can't give this book enough praise. Looks like I'll be staying a romance tear now. Thanks Cole!

P.S. The sex scenes were very entertaining.

4.25 Stars- This book was seriously GOOD.

It made me think and keep thinking. The plot was thick and while I THOUGHT I had it, I really had zilch. I love that it got me!!! No spoilers, but it’s one of those that will slap you. I loved the characters and their non-instant relationship. Tristan didn’t even want to be friends. Slowly they got there and as good as they were just being pushed to friends when they gave it a go a whole new level opened for them. They had zing!!!!! They were quirky when they were just friends but they were so hyped to each other it was excellent to read!

The reason for lowerish rating is the plot reveal and tie in. Although it did slap me as I said I didn’t get the why’s behind it and it was all mashed away to quick for my taste. Especially for one character in particular.

“From what I’ve seen- which isn’t much, I know- I think you’re harvesting a lot of guilt. I also think it’s all self-induced. And that you’ve been doing it to yourself for so long that you’ve forgotten that you’re alive.”

We stared at each other as our chests heaved from the shouting. The foot of space between us felt electric. I ran my hand through my hair, yanking at the ends. “F**k this,” I swore. We reached for each other at the same time and out mouths slammed together, tasting of desperation and passion

For A Reason is definitely a thought provoking and well written book. I loved Tristan and the way about him that made me want him to finally be happy. He’s just trying to make it, day to day. He blames himself for the loss of his best friend and lives with the guilt of that daily. Katelyn slowly began to push her way into Tristan’s life and made him come alive again. With that said, most people have their secrets. But Kate is much more guarded with hers and hopefully lives will not be ruined in the process, if their secrets ever come out…
One of the things I love to read about is mystery, and if a romance can add a bit of that into the mix, then I am all the more excited to read that book. Trying to figure out what was going on here was a thrill. I knew there had to be something, because it wasn’t quiet adding up, and so I couldn’t put it down. I was on the edge of my seat, trying to solve this puzzle. If you are like me, this book will happily satisfy the sleuth in you and make your mind wonder WTH? But that is not the end of it, there is more…
This is a great read and it left me with a huge smile on my face and misty eyes. And would certainly recommend this Standalone book freely. I am leaving a 4.5 star review here. This book was gifted to me and so in return I am leaving a honest review. GREAT READ!!!!

Review of For A Reason by T.N. Cole

Review done for Hooked on Books

4 ½ out of 5 stars

Tristan Westdyke has closed himself of from everyone. He spends all his time at school, work, and the gym. He is not going to let anyone into his heart again.

A car hit Tristan and his best friend Mel and she was killed and he was badly hurt. Tristan blames himself for Mel getting killed even though it wasn’t his fault. He can’t handle losing anyone else in his life so he refuses to let anyone near his heart. Mel seems to haunt him every day not letting him forget what happened.

Tristan’s world is turned upside down when he meets Katelyn Sharp. She is beautiful, witty, and doesn’t put up with Tristan’s crap. She will not take no for an answer.

Katelyn is slowly breaking down Tristan’s walls. She is determined to help him get past his grief and guilt.

Someone from Tristan’s past is determined to stop him from being happy. Strange notes and messages are driving him mad. He just wants to move forward. He never thought he would find love and be loved as well.

This was a fantastic story. I did not see the ending coming; the author did an amazing job with that twist. I loved Tristan’s POV. It was also nice to get a bit from Kate as well. This story flowed smoothly and I couldn’t put it down.

I definitely recommend this book to read!

At 17 Tristan and his best friend were hit by a car and while he survived the guilt he had from her death has followed him for the last 5 years especially because of the argument that they had right before she died.

He has gotten good at hiding behind a facade and keeping himself so busy that by the time he goes to bed exhausted he won't have any nightmares about the past.

Katelyn gets under his skin in a way no one else before has or at least not since Mel. She has a way of worming her way into his life and soon he wants more than he thinks he should. She is sassy and sweet and funny everything he needs to get himself out of his funk.

But with the happiness comes someone trying to ruin it by reminding him of the past and all of his failures.

Are you ready for a total mind f***? Because just when you think you know what's going on EVERYTHING gets thrown upside down and you realize not everything is as it seems.

This is a romance novels with a twist, and every romance story gets an HEA right? When the truth comes out and all the secrets are told who will be left to pick up the pieces?

Guest Review by Tammy Cole

This book had me hooked from the first page! Romance, suspense, a hot and sexy main character and a strong female lead this book had everything! Tristan has lived through a horrible experience in his life that has made him keep to himself and not let anyone close to him. That is until Katelyn comes into his life.

"She let me hold on to her - like she was my anchor to the world of the sane, my gravity"

Katelyn starts to make Tristan question the way he is living his life, and maybe for once in a long time he starts to think that he does deserve to have someone in his life. Katelyn starts to break down his walls and a beautiful love story follows. But this story will have you guessing until the very last chapter. I highly recommend reading this debut novel.

"You are everything to me. You help me in more ways than you can possibly know. I need you. You're the air that I breathe. You're the star of my dark night. You're my gravity when I have no idea which way is up I don't exist without you"

For a Reason was a complete surprise. I was flipping pages like crazy and had no idea what was coming.

Tristan is a college student running from a past he can't forget. Guilt, nightmares and his dead best friend keep him isolated from his family and friends.

Enter Katelyn and it seems like Tristan is finally opening up to someone. Katelyn is sweet, fun and insistent she does not let up on Tristan.

This is where the twists and turns start and I can't even elaborate.
I was "oh I know what's going on."
My very next thought "what the heck?" I literally did not figure this book out until the end!

I loved Tristan and Kate. They were easy to connect with and sexy as hell together!
I was rooting for them from the beginning.

T.N. Cole's writing is terrific, not once was I pulled out of the story by an editing error.
The story line is fresh and different which is always a pleasant surprise.

I would definitely recommend this book!

ASHLEY'S REVIEW
5 STARS

WOW.. This book was not at all what I was expecting...It was really GOOD!! So many twist and turns. When I thought I had it figured out BAM! Totally blindsided.

Tristan, he was broken-hearted, guilt stricken, and my heart was aching for what happened between him and Mel. The guilt this guy carried with him was so crazy. He was so burdened down. Sometimes his guilt and his anger made him the biggest A-hole!

Then he meets Katelyn, at first I didn't know what to think of her. I knew something was off, something was odd. I really had a whole other story planned in my head..LOL...But I was Dead WRONG.. This is what makes this story so good!

Y'all will definitely need to read this book. It is a one of a kind book. This is definitely lets all read it and discuss it after for hours kind of book. Who, When, How, Why, Where.

#GREAT Book #Great Romance P.S Killer ending. So good

After losing his life long best friend, Mel, Tristan's been living the last five years trying to forget his past. Everything seems to be going the way he's planned it, existing but not living, until spunky little Katelyn abruptly makes her way into his life and helps him start living again and together they over come their hidden pasts.

This book is cute, sweet and a bit steamy with a big twist of mystery that'll have you squirming to know what happens next. I oved it and I would recommend it to everyone! Definite 5 stars for me! I can't wait to see what comes next from this amazing new author.

This is the debut novel by this author and i was a very accomplished debut novel. The story is filled with romance and Tristan and his tragic past, but slowly we see him open up to Katelyn and it is great to see. There was as the story went on a few surprises and twists that i did not see coming at all but they made the story so much more intense and i could not put it down. I will be keeping a keen eye out for this authors next release and i am sorry i cannot tell you anymore but i do not want to spoil the story. Just know this is a great book, and i love the cover as well

Tyler doesn't let anyone close, he is guarded, and lives his life buried under the guilt he has from losing his best friend. Cole, pulls you in and takes you for a ride down an emotional rollercoaster in her debut novel. She makes you feel the characters. I felt the pain form Tyler, he was a broken guy who felt like he didn't deserve any kind of happiness in his life there wasn't anything that could change his mind until Katelyn pushes right past his hard exterior. She's everything that I like to see in a female character. She's witty, smart, and very relatable. Great first novel!

Riveting heart achingly beautiful

I was totally sucked into this book from the first chapter. I fell in love with Tristan from the beginning. This is a twisted love story like no other. I never expected it turn out the way it did. I was enthralled. Katelyn was exactly what Tristan needed even if he didn't know it. Take a ride on this crazy journey and fall in love and lust. Tristan is hot ladies I mean panty melting Hot! He's also the most romantic m you'll read about. .

This book will take you a wild ride. Just when I though I had things figured out there was a twist.

After losing his best friend Tristan just exists in life. He never lets anyone get to close and keeps himself busy so that he does not have to think about that tragedy. He is a path of self destruction, blaming himself. Kate literally steamrolls into this life and doesn't give up. He falls and falls hard, even though he denies it and fights it.

I loved that when he learned Kate's secret he never turned his back on her. He loved her and stood by her side. Emotional, romantic ride with this story.
