It is said that if you lie with snakes for long enough, you either become a snake or you get bitten and die. Makes perfect sense. Except if you are a wolf. If you are a wolf, you lie in wait, you bide your time, and right when their guard is down you kill that f#@king snake.
Jessa Lebron – currently prisoner of asshole dragon king.

In the epic conclusion to the Supernatural Prison trilogy, Jessa Lebron finds herself deep in the world of Larkspur, the dragon king. She will have to play it smart and fight with everything to stay one step ahead of him and while at times it’s tough to keep her focus, she will do anything to escape and reunite with her boys, the Compass quads.

Of course, it’s impossible to be where she is and not dig deeper into the curse of the dragon mark. As more information is uncovered, she starts to understand why she, of all supernaturals, was the one to be singled out. And this changes everything she thought she knew.

Turns out she doesn’t know a damn thing.

There will be decisions to make. Tough decisions. Jessa has to be strong enough for the sake of the supernatural races, but sometimes that’s easier said than done.

⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱*One Character Can Ruin It All*⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱

Re-read: 31.08.2020
Mischa ruins E V E R Y T H I N G. Even though she's barely in this book. I seriously H A T E her with Maximus. Hate it. Maximus belongs with Jessa, alongside Braxton. That said, I love Braxton, but I hate how the dynamic in their pack has changed, with all the added members. I wish it had just stuck with Jessa and her boys. I mean, it's so strange that this is one of the few series where I want a revers harem.

Quick basic facts:
Genre: - (New Adult) Paranormal Romance.
Series: - Series, Book Three.
Love triangle? -
Cheating? -
HEA? -
Favorite character? - Braxton Compass.
Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Yes.
Would I recommend this book/series? - Yes.
Will I read this again in the future? - I'm not sure.
New rating - 3 stars.

First read review:
*Might contain spoilers!*
I...I sadly have to say that I'm actually disappointed. I had expected more, or less; depends on how you look at it. I'm happy for Jessa and Braxton, but angry for Maximus, and I still can't connect, nor love Mischa. In fact, I kinda hate her. I guess I had too high expectations for this book considering I loved the first one, and really liked the second one. But well, you can't always love every book in a series, now can you? Anyway, I'm sadden this journey with Jessa is over, and I'm actually not sure if I'll read Maximus story because I have a feeling it involves Mischa too much...

Superb

What an excellent series, every book was written well and full of excitement, action, drama with a fun snarky Jessa and her pack. I can’t say enough about these first three books, they have been a pleasure to read, I’ve enjoyed them immensely. The next books I believe go into the individual lives of some of the awesome characters. I very much look forward to the rest of the books.

Happy Days, Dragon Mated is finally here!

What can I say about this final installment in the Supernatural Prison trilogy, how about I liked it, I liked it a lot. But I just didn't love it.

Don't get me wrong it was good, I just didn't feel the same love books 1 and 2 seemed to invoke :( That being said I did more or less read it in one sitting, bar a couple of hours sleep.

I think the problem was it just had a different feel. Now I love Jessa, but there were a couple of times were kept thinking yeah I get it your a special bloody snowflake move along. And I think the whole Mischa thing was a complete cop out, this didn't engender me to her it just made me think, wow, she's immature as well as dum!

Overall I was happy with book 3 I just don't think I'll find myself rereading it like I have the other two.

-May Have Spoilers!!!-

This was a wonderful conclusion to Jessa's story! I was kind of worried that this finale book wouldn't live up to the battle and climax it's been working up to but thankfully it nailed it! The battle at the end was epic and kept me on the edge of my seat!

Jessa is put through hell through this last book but like always she has her boys with her. And her and Braxton.... -swoon- I adore them! I can admit though, I got a little bored while they were all stuck in Faerie but it quickly picked back up towards the end.

And the ending was so full of heartache... poor Maximus! And Josephina... wahhhh... sad but happy... totally bittersweet!

The only complaint I had with this novel is Jessa annoyed me a little bit. WE KNOW YOU ARE SO VERY SPECIAL, THE BEST MOST SPECIAL CUPCAKE IN THE BUNCH. Jeez, Jessa was the kinda heroine that could do things no one else could, was special and everyone loved her... it got annoying after awhile.

And Mischa's secret!!! -gasp- I wasn't expecting that at all! Now, for me at least, (I know a lot of people hate her) but I feel like all of her nonsense from the last book made perfect sense. And after reading the blurb to Max's book it DEFINITELY all makes sense. Max is obviously her true mate (which I'm assuming by the conclusion to this one and the blurb of the next one) so of course she was depressed and desperate... And made insane decisions! Her mate denied her, chose another, slept with and flaunted his "mate". And poor Mischa had to sit and watch it all why everyone thought she was being "too human" and being immature because she couldn't get over her "crush" on Max. Hell, her soul was probably tearing apart!

I'm totally team Mischa now, so Max better beg, grovel, and plead to get her back in his book!

(Oh and of course Jessa had to one up Mischa AGAIN when her pregnancy is with twins, boy and girl.) Poor Mischa can't have anything special because Jessa is the most special one always.

-rolls eyes-

Anyways, back to Dragon Mated, I loved it plain and simple. I'm sad to see Jessa go but I know I'll see more of them in the Compass boys books! This has been a wonderfully written trilogy and I highly recommend!

For some super odd reason I finished this book forever ago this month and totally forgot to write a review - so here it goes!

Second time read and a first time review.

I'm such a slacker guys!

Dragon Mated is sadly the final book in the Supernatural Prison series. But don't fret because there is a spin off series for people who love this one. I think there's like one or two books out for it but it's been a while since I dove into that one so don't take my word for it just yet.

Jessa and Braxton's relationship is on fire. I love their chemistry but I also love how their friendship turning into a relationship didn't ruin any of her other friendship with her friends. Now the whole time I thought her eggo was preggo but low and behold she was just feeling what her stupid ass twin was. I was so sad and disappointed that it was Mischa pregnant first because I just don't like the girl. She whines all the time and even though I secretly wanted her and Max together ... I just couldn't get around the fact that she is just still so naive about everything. She frustrates me to no end.

I loved the ending because I just thought it was way too cute. Overall, I'm happy with this series, again. I loved it the first time around and I'm super happy that I still feel the same way. None of my ratings changed which is always a good thing. I have no idea if I will dive back into that spin off series and read about Maximus.. mostly because I know it contains Mischa and I just can't pretend to like her right now.

As the last book in this series, I have to say, I think Jessa would agree with me here, It truly is a full course meal for the mind and soul. Enjoy my fellow Supernatural fans, you will not be disappointed. I wasn't.

I have to say... I'm a little disappointed. In the beginning, the background catch-up was a little too verbose - a little too 'explain-y', so the dialogue felt forced and awkward. The author should have spent a little more page-space on letting us see/feel/infer connections and histories instead of placing it on a platter. As the story went on, obstacles seemed just a little too easy to overcome; the resolution too quick and simple. I was certainly disappointed in the end. The first two books had me expectant to see a satisfying resolution to the Dragon Marked and the King, as well as seeing each of our beloved Quads settled in, having found their True Mates. Alas, it seemed that the author had a change of heart between the last book and this one, and decided to prolong this and space out Mate resolutions so that each of the boys have their own spin-off book. Which would have been fine if it had originally been set up that way. But it wasn't. The gains and involvement that we acquired from Grace and Cardia in the last book became null and void: . Ugh. Nope. Nope. Nope. It's a damn good thing that I am so hardcore in love with the Quads and our sassy, snarky, fierce Jessa that I still overall really enjoyed the ride. I am a sucker for pack bonds, brotherly love, true-mate devotion/protectiveness/territorial-ism and profound family/friend loyalty during battle that this is still very much up my alley, even if this third book did fail to deliver the battle and resolution that had been so highly anticipated. I hate to say it, but I'm thinking that the only way that I'll read any of the spin-off books would be if it was still narrated in Jessa's POV. Which seems unlikely. *sigh*

Do I wish this was a reverse harem? Yes. Do I really care? No not really.

Other than what I wish would’ve happened, I have no complaints about this conclusion to the Supernatural Prison series:)

The epic conclusion to the trilogy that wasn’t as epic as it should’ve been

This is it, final book in the trilogy, which would see our heroes go and kick some ass. Battles for survival, save the world as we know it and badassery and epicness all around. Except somewhere along the way the epicness was kind of toned down a bit too much.

You have a great evil, someone who terrorised the world until he was put on a time out. Now 1000 years later the time out has ended and the evil is back. Except we see no such evil or horrors or anything close for us to grasp the magnitude of this evil. And no just telling us that he is evil doesn’t count, at all. I get that 1000 years is a lot of time and things would have changed a lot, the world and the people in it would have evolved in their way of living and thinking, but still where is the epic battle we were promised.
Funny thing is, Larkspur a.k.a Larky, had the same issue with the time frame!

The bad guy has power , he has an army of marked who are untrained and the next best thing to modern zombies and finally a plot twist that went so unnoticed like milk in heavy cream . We have literally a comparison to a Greek battle: approximately 300 of the good guys versus a few hundred marked (sounds familiar to anyone?) and we get is this: “We don’t want to hurt them, they were victims in all of this, we just wanted to incapacitate them for a little while” which is fine since it’s true but then we jump to this: “We had given up at this point apparently. Marked were dying left, right and center” .
Really now? Really?!? *sigh*

I was introduced to a bad guy that was supposedly badass and seemed to be a step ahead from everyone at all times, yet in the end he kind of turned off his brains and went down way too easy. Don’t get me wrong, everyone has a weakness or a flaw that would help an opponent get traction and beat them but there was no coherent timeline for this to occur. One minute he was smart & ahead and the next, boom shaka laka, just like magic he was not.

Even so I did looove this book and this trilogy in general! Jessa, the Compass quads and Luis are among my very fav characters. A heroine that can be a badass, ass-kicking Alpha and a feminine figure at the right time & place and Alpha males who were not complete cavemen and brute strength. Their friendship is #lifegoals for me.

To conclude the rumbling: This book was great - if it was build/written a bit different, just a teeny tiny bit, it would have been awesomesause - while the characters will forever be in my heart. As such it has earned a spot in my favorites list and would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Nice finish

From the first book I've been hooked in Jessa's story. The third book in Jessa's story didn't disappoint.
It's got romance, action, adventure, humour and friendship.
So glad to hear there are spin off novels.

First off: I LOVE THIS SERIES
I love that Jessa likes food so much
I love the hotness of the Compasses
I love that Braxton is with Jessa
I love that the pack is so close
... and there is so much more!!!

But before you read any further, I love this series and the author(in case you didn't know) and would rate this whole trilogy 4/5.
The review I wrote down below however is more about the things in this particular book, which kind of made me like the series a little less. This is mainly bc I was kinda frustrated after reading Dragon Mated.. and I had to let off some steam and wanted to leave a little (but still polite) criticism behind.

But still I'm so bothered by some things in this book that I can't bring myself to devour the book as fast as humanly possible.
- The first book was mainly about Jessa and the Compasses, which I liked. Well this book still focuses on her but it also brings her sister more into the story, which would be fine, but I belong to the people here, who can't stand Mischa...she might be a nice girl, but not only Jessa (sometimes) thought of her sister as stupid, I did too. With Jessa being so strong, you can't believe how weak her sister is, even though she had a good life... (Seriously that girl has almost no idk common sence?/backbone?/pride? - can't describe it).

I still could have read it enthusiasticly, BUT

Well and then there was Mischa's I just wanted a clean and nice ending for Braxton and Jessa - well not happening here...

I probably won't read the Compasses books just bc I can't stand Mischa and she'll be probably the center of Maximus story(even though I'm kinda interested in knowing as to why he didn't cling to Cardia as much as one would expect).
I'd rather prefer more of Jessa, bc she is one serious badass girl :D

Noooooo, this third and final instalment has completely RUINED the whole series for me!
It's just awful. The first two books have the odd cliche and a tonne of arrogant phrases and predictable occasions, but I could overlook them because the story had a good pace and was interesting.
In this one the romance and happenings with the main characters is slow and downright dull.
What was with the first section with The Dragon King- this could've been so much more interesting. I love a strong female character but the constant swearing and colloquial language just felt so forced. Ugh, just everything was wrong for me.
Sorry. X

I admit to being nervous when I started this book. I loved the first two in the series but I don't know this author enough to be sure that the ending of a trilogy will work out well. And there is this little matter of a choice that Jessa will have to make in this book. Yeah, I shouldn't have worried.

I love it when an author can surprise me. It doesn't happen often but this time it did. I was expecting one thing and got something completely different. I was happy about the choice and though Jessa is forever changed, I was relieved. It brought her story to a close with perfection.

As I have said before, I love these characters. The idea of a quad of boys all willing to die for their best friend Jessa? It speaks to my reader heart. And I adore all four of these boys. There never was anyone but Braxton for Jessa - so no worries there. The other three deserve their happy as well. I was excited that Max will have his own book with Broken Compass and Ty will get his with Magical Compass. I am hoping that another book will happen for Jacob.

This author uses a lot of details. It's nice to have the whole story and see it clearly in your mind. It sometimes feels like it breaks the action but it also makes everything clear. There were a couple of details that I hope get cleared up with Max's story. His mate didn't make sense to me. So while this book ends Jessa and Braxton's story, there are still things to be explained. A broken compass to fix. I'm excited to dive into the next one.

I really belief that anyone who reads PNR will love this book. It has every magical being you could possibly like and combines them into a great world where there are still so many possibilities. This is the good stuff. Don't miss it!

Wow! This book had it all, I think I spent at least half the book with my breath held. There was just no let up in the action for Jessa in this final of the trilogy of Dragon books featuring Jessa and the Compass boys. From the moment we hit the first page running there as no let up, as Jessa finds herself in the hands of Larky (snort), evil dragon king. Not knowing who is friend or foe, it is a complicated journey and Faerie proves to be a dangerous place for all. Whilst the 'bad guys' were very awful there was a lot of good here too and the pack have much to fight for. A lot more serious than the previous instalments, the team literally have to save the world.

I found myself still being annoyed by Mischa but gradually at the end I am coming round to her and gladly we will be seeing a lot more of her in the next book set in this world, featuring the rest of the compass boys. I was very happy at the end of the book to see that they each get their story and even more so that Louis will get his chance of happiness, I have a serious soft spot for the powerful sorcerer.

As do all good urban fantasy books, this one leads up to one hell of a final battle scene and JaymIn Eve does not pull her punches lightly, I found myself in tears more than once. So be warned, a box of tissues might come in handy. After much bloodshed, good triumphs though, and I loved the connections that these characters have. Off to stalk the author :-)

To say I have loved this series would be an understatement!

The Compass Quads are the most delicious MC's I have read in a while. As Brax and Jessa's story concludes I look forward to seeing the outcome of the remaining quads and of course the all powerful Louis!

For me this lost a star because I missed the steamy scenes between Brax and Jessa. That being said the storyline was impeccable and full of action! There are a couple of mind blowing surprises and of course the anticipated lead into Maximus book.

If you haven't read this series, What are you waiting for????

Happy reading,

Well, I'm not sure. I liked this enough but not nearly as much as the first two. And definitely not as much as any of her other books. Idk maybe I should have reread the others first who knows. I didn't like Mischa the moment she was introduced in the first book, and I still don't but I like her a slight bit more after this. I think I just wanted Jessa to have all the Compass brothers to herself lol. It was still okay though, just not what I was so excited for.

Absolutely amazing! I loved this entire series but I think Jaymin has kicked it up for the final book. I laughed, cried (sometimes at the same time), got mad and happy for the entire pack. This is one book I didn't want to put down until the end you won't be disappointed it has everything you need action, romance, love, heartbreak, the works!

An entertaining conclusion to just a really fun series. I did feel like the story was a little dragged out, but honestly, it didn't bother me enough to effect my enjoyment so I really don't care. I loved seeing the final battle between Jessa, the Compasses, and the Dragon King. And I'm excited to see what happens in the companion novels.

I don't think it's fair to say that the series is complete. In my opinion, this book/series ends on a cliffhanger. Throughout all three books, I came to like all of the brothers - especially Maximus - and want to know what happens to him!

How I feel about this third installment is indicative of how I feel about the series in general. It was entertaining because of the likable characters and fun action, but I really wish there was more emphasis on the romance. That's all I can say. It was fun reading this - I couldn't stop.

I don't even know what to say right now.

My emotions are all a tangled mess.

Wow. I'm in a jumble of thoughts and feelings all because of this book.

I don't know what to say.

Okay.

Let me breathe. I am breathing. Breathing is occurring.

This will be a mildly coherent review, interspersed with lots of feeling outbursts. It will also mostly be a review for the entire series, not just this book.

I love this series.

I love it with a passionate emotion, something that is way beyond words. I love it how much Jess and Brax love each other. There you go, guys. That's how much I love it.

The first book in this series was exceptional. Right off the bat, it jumped into an exquisite storyline with unimaginable characters and intricate settings. By the way, I read the first two books back when they originally came out, so I may not recall all the minute details. But I do recall loving Jessa the moment I started reading. She is bae. I love Jessa. If Jessa was my sister... girl, you don't even know. The Compasses. The Comnpasses are amazing. I love all of them. Especially Braxton though. Obviously. But I love all of them so much. And together they are amazing, especially with Jess. I love all of the characters so much!!!

The first book itself was amazing because the plotline was so interesting, and the world-building was beautiful. I loved the action in it and just the hint of mystery and suspense. It was a great book. A wonderful book. A mind-blowing book.

The second book. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

What am I supposed to say? It just improved even further upon an essentially mind-blowing book. Jess and the Compasses became even more awesome, and I have no words to describe it. And Jessa and Braxton? Oh, hell yes! And that ending though. Oh, that ending tho.

And now the third book.
Wow...
The third book.

I loved it so much. So much. I did guess the big secret, but it was a beautiful secret, and I didn't mind knowing it. There was not as much action in this one as the first two. Don't get me wrong, there was the mind-blowing climax in this book with the huge fight scene that is the turning point. But a lot of it was just a wrap up to everything. I did not mind one bit. Jessa is life goals, as are the Compasses. And I can never get enough of them. That ending. So beautiful. AAAAAAA! I can't even, guys. This was wonderful.

I have heard that there will be a fourth book with Max starring. This is just what I have heard, so I don't know. I do hope that these things are covered:

I love this book. I love this series. I love Jaymin Eve. And I cannot stop reading about these awesome characters.
The characters make this series awesome.

As does the plot and the setting and the world and everything about it.

I love it so much.

Must read. Everyone. Go. Read it.

Dragon Mated is the third and final novel in the Supernatural Prison series by Jaymin Eve and is an action packed conclusion to a trilogy full of supernatural creatures, bonds of family and a fight to prevent a powerful King from destroying the supernatural world forever.

Jessa Lebron is currently being held prisoner by the dragon king, after his escape from his centuries long imprisonment. Larkspur has big plans for the supernatural race and for some reason those plans include Jessa. This means she has been ripped away from her mate Braxton and the rest of her pack. Desperate to get back to her loved ones, Jessa quickly decides to attempt an escape but with the dragon king adamant about keeping her by his side, her escaping may only be the beginning of Jessa’s troubles. There’s a fight on the horizon and it’s outcome threatens everything Jessa holds dear. Can the dual wolf and dragon shifter find the strength to defeat an enemy who is said to be unkillable? Or will the dragon king destroy all the supernatural races with his dragon marked army?

Dragon Mated brings to an end Jaymin Eve’s Supernatural Prison series but it’s not without new developments, revelations and plenty of action. Picking up directly where the previous novel left off, Dragon Mated is a fast paced story that builds to an epic battle. Jaymin Eve once again features Jessa front and centre and she and her pack face the dragon king now that he has been freed.

Jessa has been an easy enough character to follow, although I'd be lying if I didn't say she has not been without her faults. Her smart mouth has grown on me however, as has the connection she shares with the other characters, her "pack". At first the closeness of Jessa and the Compass brothers seemed somewhat forced, but overtime I feel like it has come to seem more natural and easier for me to enjoy as the reader.

This series has been one I have enjoyed more with each instalment that passes. I feel that Jaymin Eve has developed things well over time and as Dragon Mated brings to a close this trilogy, I find myself very excited to begin the spin-off that focuses on each remaining unmated Compass brothers (and Louis!) starting with Maximus and Mischa's story. After the events featuring them in the last two books, I'm looking forward to seeing them find their way back to each other.

I loved this series so much! I can't even deal. I will be reading these books again for sure.

Dragon Mated is book 3 of the Supernatural Prison series. It is the conclusion of all that has happened throughout the series.

I loved Jessa, the Compass quads, and Louis so much. I loved their relationship. I loved their loyalty to each other. I loved their powers. I loved it all. If I could jump into this book to be part of their lives, I totally would.

I'm glad there is a spin off series with the secondary characters because I am just not ready to be done with them.

This book and the two before it were all great. I highly recommend this series. It has a little bit of everything fantasy in it. I think I will be buying all three books in paperback so that I can display them with all of my other favorites.

Audible: I added the whispersync audible narration to this kindle book. I was so into the book that I ended up reading the majority of it and only listening to a few parts. From what I did listen to, the narrator was good. She doesn't do male voices very well but she was easy to understand.
