Rate this book
Steamy Romance Threatens Peace. (Stand-Alone Novel) Medieval Tyrant Will Delight Fans of George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones and Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time Series. What is Stronger, Love or Hate?

With the world in chaos and death on the doorstep, the main faction of the mysterious Allfathers turn to Prince Daven and his wife Eliza to unite the war torn kingdoms and assume the crown. But, even the powerful Allfathers are divided on the future of the realm.

After Prince Daven’s younger brother Baret usurped the throne, a torrent of revolution and violence swept the land. While many are in open revolt against the bloodthirsty tyrant who used murder and deception to rise to power, others, including a sect of religious zealots backed by a different faction of the Allfathers, plan to use the chaos as cover for their own plans for world domination.

All Daven and Eliza want is to live in peace. But, even the power of their love is weaker than they know. Eliza still holds a secret that could not only ruin her relationship with Daven, but could also get both of them killed and send the continent and the world into decades of violent conflict from which it might not ever recover.

This action packed tale of blades, bravery, and betrayal is also filled with mystery and steamy romance. Find out what is in store for Daven and Eliza as the fires of passion and revolution burn hotter and closer. This is a stand-alone novel in the Medieval Future Series. 18 + or older ONLY. I seriously didn’t like the end of this book. At the end, mention was made of a third book in the series. But what’s the point? There are only two or three people to care about left after the end of this one. I don’t think I will be reading the next installment in this story. It’s sort of a shame because the first few chapters of the first book looked as if they were the beginning of a good sword and sorcery type fantasy with dragons.

I have to apologize for my review of the previous book, Medieval Future, however. I thought based on the contents of that book that the location of the story was Earth in some future time. It turns out that, in addition to its elements of epic fantasy (sort of like a Game of Thrones wannabe), and of dominance/submission erotic fantasy (reminiscent of the Fifty Shades series), there is also a science fiction element to this series. The events take place not on planet Earth but on some random other planet out in space colonized thousands of years ago by immortals from Earth who called the planet America (later shortened to Merka) and gave other names from Earth to the various lands on their new home.

The surviving immortals, known to the inhabitants of Merka as the Allfathers and Allmothers have their own agendas, those in the East beginning to wage war against those in the West, adding another layer of complexity and deception to the war for Brookler that was already going on. Just when it seemed that the more sensible party had almost won that conflict, we find one of the lords pretending to be on both sides at once and modern weapons secretly smuggled in from the East suddenly being deployed in this country of primarily medieval technology. Apparently, the repeated meteor showers destroyed less of the old technology than was originally believed.

There is betrayal on a more intimate level too, as both King Baret and King Daven are eventually done in by their respective sexual peculiarities.

This was a Kindle Unlimited book. Curiously, it appears that it is no longer available.

This book was exciting and had all the elements that I look for when reading a book. There was romance, action and a good plot that held it together. I am a huge fan of The Game of Thrones series, so I knew that I would like this book. I would say that this book has elements that make it similar to The Game of Thrones, but it does have it's own unique plot to it. My favorite character was Eliza and I enjoyed reading about her relationship with Prince Daven. They have an intriguing relationship and fight hard for each other. Loved how descriptive the book was and felt that it was well-written. Highly recommend this one!!

Romance, lies and betrayal!! Who could ask for more?!

The author, Michael Anthony, again has out did himself!! This book is packed with action right from the start! Who doesn't love a book that starts off with a great steamy romance and ends with a situation that will keep you in shock! It's a book based on romance, lies, friendships and betrayal! I didn't want to put the book down when I started, so make sure you have plenty of time to read it once you start!

Well written

This book was well written and well worth the time and effort to read. I enjoyed it immensely, the twists in the story line and the various comparisons were ingenious. The characters are well written as well. You will NOT waste your time or money with the purchase of this book.

Grammatically Poor

This transcript had a lot of grammatical errors. It also upheld the concept of superiority that I do not wish to subscribe.
