This book is a dark psychological supernatural story that will have you reading with the lights on. It is a short read, but filled with meanicing evil beings and a husband who would do anything to get ahead at his job. The expression, "sell your soul to the devil" is exactly what Richard does , but with a twist It seems Richard is willing to do anything to move forward in the company and seals his wife's fate with a deal so sinister that at times I had to stop reading for a moment. I appreciate that the author presents Rose as a strong woman willing to protect those she loves at all costs.

When she develops a friendship with a priest, will he be her saving grace? Father Mark falls in love with Rose and tries to protect her from the evil that is engulfing her life. Will their love for each other cause harm to Rose? Mark seemed to quickly attach himself to Rose and felt like the relationship was rushed. His character didn't seem to be a strong and good influence in Roses's life. Perhaps that was her final undoing of the torture that was about to overtake her.
Overall , if you like supernatural thrillers with a dark and creepy storyline , this book will not disappoint.

Rose McAdams believes she married for love, but her husband changes the greedier he gets and makes a deal for her soul. Rose suffers through nights of terror by the hands of nightmare named Jack. She finds solace with a priest and falls in love with the gentle man. They have a daughter together, and to save her beautiful little Daisy, Rose must find a way to escape her husband and Jack. But they won't let go so easily.

A supernatural thriller with plenty of dark dealings. There seemed to be a lot more under the surface that the story was hinting at, and hopefully we'll see more in the next book. We didn't need to know the whys or hows here, though. It was about Rose's suffering and struggles and the hope she might escape to a better life.

The villains were detestable, and I liked the mystery behind Jack and the deals he was making. Father Mark was sweet and gentle. A sharp contrast to Jack. I could see why Rose would fall for him. I sympathized with Rose even though I wanted more from her, especially after Daisy came along.

Ah, the backstory.... After reading and LOVING Black 21, Nancy Glynn's opus about evil and sensual goings-on in the disturbingly beautiful town of Golden Hills, it was enchanting to slip back a couple decades to learn how many of the Black 21 characters ended up where they did. Jack Red!!!! Does this guy (and is Jack even human??) ever take a break from pursuing his cruel goals??

Rose, Daisy Lock's mother, is portrayed as the sensitive, torn woman the reader caught glimpses of in Black 21. Richard Lock, her husband, is shown for who he truly is, and Mark Paul, Daisy's father, comes to the rescue while facing his own (literal AND figurative) demons.

A brief read but enticing, and a huge thank you to both the author and librarything for the chance to enjoy and review this book.

Nancy is an excellent writer who knows how to captivate her audience. This book is a bit on the lighter side and could probably be developed a little bit more. Overall a great shorter story explaining what happened to Daisy's mom. I like how it fills in some gaps and explains more what happened. I am glad I read the other book first though since this one might have given away too much and made the other one less suspense.

I would definitely recommend this one and Black 21 since they are a great little series.

WHO WROTE THIS??

Rose's Sin read like it was written by a child. No depth and almost comical. It read like a first graders book.
It was obvious that the sample of the Black 21 was written by someone who had written before. If you're going to give us free reads, at least write the free stuff too!

This was a fantastic read! I would suggest to read this book first, then go straight into Black 21. A fast read, but full page turning suspense!
