Max has spent six years convincing himself that wanting Sydney is a mistake.
She’s too young. She works for him. And no matter how badly he wants to blur the boundaries between them, some lines are better left untouched.
Nate has problems of his own.
A spectacularly public divorce, a four-year-old daughter to protect and a family empire waiting for him when his father's heart attack forces him home to England after eight years away. The last thing he needs is to fall for the woman already holding his family together.
Sydney has spent her whole life believing that being needed is the closest she’ll ever get to being loved. But somewhere between boardroom battles, scandalous headlines and a little girl who has already decided Sydney belongs with them, carefully drawn boundaries begin to disappear.
None of them expect to discover that the biggest line they’d have to cross was realising they didn't have to choose.
The Lines We Cross is an age-gap billionaire MMF romance featuring a single dad, workplace tension, found family, two fiercely protective men, and one woman about to discover that some lines are meant to be crossed.

WOW! This was a surprise & a totally different direction from what I'm used to from this author, but I'm here for it! If you love age‑gap, billionaire, MMF romances featuring a single dad & workplace dynamics, with two protective / obsessive men who are drawn to the same woman, then this is a book for you!
Tropes: * Romance - This is a unique book as it caters for the lovers of the delicious slow‑burn romance with one dynamic & caters for fans of the insta-love with another, creating a fun & flirty romance arc. * Age Gap - The grounding this dynamic brings to the overall storyline is soothing not only to the characters but to the reader. * Found family & Single Dad - The inclusion of a single father & the broader support network around these characters added both warmth & depth to the narrative, softening the billionaire glitz & glam with genuine emotional feelings. * Workplace - The tension created by the power dynamics & professional boundaries gave this romance novel a natural source of conflict, making the characters’ choices feel natural not forced.
The descriptive narrative will have you 'sat in the boardroom' feeling the tension, feeling the cool water ripple over your body whilst doing a night time swim, tasting the sumptuous cookies or feeling the anxiety & fear or the unknown! The pacing is quick, so you will find yourself flipping those pages & devouring the book especially with the added tension & spice sizzling throughout. Character development was subtle for some & immense for others, giving the storyline depth as the characters all felt grounded with personal histories, making them relatable & giving their relationships substance.
Overall, I loved it, this isn't a 'fluffy' romance as the story leans into the emotional intensity that I've come to love from this Authors writing style, whilst at the same time hitting the 'pleasure button' within the “why‑choose” subgenre - I would definitely recommend.
** Thank you to Beth walker for giving me a free e-copy of this book, I'm leaving this review voluntarily **
Thank you Beth for giving me the opportunity to receive an ARC. This is my honest and voluntary review.
I absolutely loved the lines we cross, I adore (mostly) all of the characters. Watching the relationship develop between all 3 of the main characters was heart warming. They had the instant chemistry and I was so happy following their story and watching their relationships unfold. This book included some of my favourite tropes, age gap, MMF, single dad and found family. My emotions got taken on a roller coaster, one minute I was kicking my feet and laughing, the next i was on the verge of tears. The ending 😫😫😫😫 I need the next book!
This has it ALL. It has suspense. It has twists. It has spice. It has tension. It has emotion. I want to be able to read this for the first time again!
