An amazing starter for learning Latin. I already know the material in the book but the dialogs and stories scale really well and the accompanying grammar discussions are crystal clear. I may even use this over Familia Romana to teach my kids one day.

I really enjoyed this book. I had already done Henle Latin I and a bunch of Andrew Olimpi easy readers, so I did not come to this as a complete beginner. I did not do the exercises, I just read the stories, and found it quite enjoyable. The difficulty of the texts progresses in a logical manner and the vocab repeats a lot. I would call this a hidden gem. I worked through it slowly and read each story at least twice, to make sure I really understood everything. If you are an autodidact, it unfortunately contains no answer key.
