Vernon....Vernon....Vernon...A Sexy Alpha Beast!!!!!
This story picks up where book 2 ended and that is Vernon E. Brooks being arrested for the murder of his wife Constance Brooks. James Brooks personal adviser to the President of the United States is representing his older brother. They know all of the craziness stems from one out of control individual by the name of Isaac Singleton. He has been showing his hatred for the Brooks from book 1 but you really didn't understand why he had such disdain for the family, until it is kind of revealed at the end of book 1 going into book 2 and now the cataclysmic grand finale culminates in book 3.
Vernon may be on trial for murder but Rene Navarone ex-secret service and now owner of her own securities firm has captured his heart. Navarone blew his mind when he met her in book 2 and finally he can say that he is truly a man in love with a woman, who has moved into his heart and there has been no real intimacy between the two. This is a real scenario of when a man, knows he has met the woman that he will marry. Navarone was once involved with a man a long time ago but she never met a man who has caused the earth to tilt on its axis when her eyes met his. They work together to find out who killed Constance and why? At the same time being cautioned by James to not be seen together because then the prosecutor will surely try to weave this into, Vernon killing his wife so that he can be with Navarone.
Neal Kirkland is the prime example of trying to get his name out there, seeking political aspirations and co-signing with the devil whom is Isaac Singleton. His reasoning is for revenge (Vernon slayed him in the courtroom before) and wanting the office of the Attorney General. I don't have to tell you how being dirty will always leave you even filthier. Now Neal is the grand daddy stage of them all and going against the "Brooks" is never now will it ever be a smart idea because in the end, you will walk away with far less than when you first started.
Vernon sights are on Navarone and hers are on his. Meeting her parents is what will determine if he can get through the door (Would love to know more about the Navarones that is for sure). For the first time Vernon meets a woman whose family is intact, like his and he loves it. Vernon gets to see Navarone in with her parents, furthering how his woman (which has already claimed her whether Navarone agreed to it or not LOL!!) has strong family values as himself. Navarone sees Vernon the way he has always wanted to be seen and always wanted to be loved and she gives that to him.
It is an incredible story full of love, drama, intrigue and murder. I need to know if we will see Genesis again? What's up with Bobby (Erika's brother) and his girlfriend Patrice (which I am totally giving her the severe side eye). I also sense some chemistry between Genesis and Bobby (doing a happy dance over here LOL!!). What does the future hold for Taylor aka Lil Tay (Vernon's daughter who will be attending law school at Columbia) and NBA superstar Jason who is clearly in love with her and she with him? I have so, so many more questions.
If you have never read a book by author Iris Bolling, you are really missing out because she can write a story of pure fire. You will not be able to put it down, trust me when I tell you. I am eagerly awaiting the next story in the "Gems and Gents" series which will be star Adam Lassister. I love Adam already, he is a hoot LOLL!!!

The Brooks are not to be messed with TRY THEM IF YOU WANT TOO! They are my favorite!!!! Once again Iris has killed it with her story telling!
The entire Richmond, VA crew is back. I got to see my JD, Bryan, Calvin, Jason, Adam, Xavier, Nick, James, Vernon and even sweet Bobbie; I might move to VA :-)

Loved this story. Lots of suspense, action and romance. Vernon is the man in all that he does. The Brooks brothers are a dynamic duo. Never try and mess with family unless you want to die.
Iris Bolling never disappoints. Her stories always suck you in until the end.

This was so good. I stayed up all night reading it because I HAD to finish it. Vernon and Naverone had so much chemistry it made the story that much more enjoyable.
I loved the drama, intrigue, suspense, and humor. I enjoyed the elements of espionage, or rather the characters involved in espionage. I am always up for good courtroom scenes. I appreciated the strong, independent, skilled woman and the men who love and support them.
The way the Brooks family and their friends stood together while trying to uncover the subterfuge heaped upon them was humorous, frustrating, suspenseful, and satisfying.. I enjoyed Adam Lassiter's appearances in the book.
There was so much in this book to enjoy including the romance. If I had a wish, it would have been for the bad guys to have a different result, for the courtroom drama to have ended more dramatically, and for someone to be more suspicious of one particular person. Maybe that will come to light in a future book.

This was an awesome read that kept me wondering what was going to happen next I have to say I have read a large number of books but Issac Singleton has to be the antagonist from the deepest part of hell😡, because I don’t think I have encountered one worse them him.
I was so concerned about him . Man it seemed that he was manipulating things against Vernon Brooks and the rest of his family,that it just didn’t look like they would ever have peace in their lives again. I was not disappointed in the book ending it just left me with one random question….😂😂😂😂
Does poor Bobby Kennedy ever find out how Cra,Cra Patrice underwood really is 😂😂Iris Bolling you almost took me out with that one 😂😂😂💕💕💕💕

This family shows the love, strength, togetherness! The ups, downs, good and bad, together we stand, Powerful. Each book smoothly written and shows strength.
I could go on, but one need to read for themselves. Ms. Bolling, you just go on with your BAD self🔥🌪️⚡️✨☀️. That’s what your books/writing do.

propensity for love what can I say. Saw a whole different side of Vernon and I really thought he was going to go to jail. But I love how you showed anything is possible as long as you have a family that believe in you and is true to this day. I really hate to see the series come to an end I can’t wait to read book 4.

WOW!
Ms. Bolling truly out did herself. Vernon story was the best in this series. It was a great read. Suspense, drama and romance. It was like I was there in the courtroom during the trial. Next up book 4.

This is really good. Connie was a bitch from the beginning to the end. I would have liked to actually get the scene where Vernon's charges were dismissed, but we didn't get that. Also, I would have liked Patrice to be addressed. Maybe it'll happen in the last BFV book.

There is a rhythm to the art of Iris Bolling. The balance between Romance and Thriller/Suspense is smooth, thought provoking and very engaging. I've read all of her books and fortunately, when I discovered her she had already written and published The Heart Series, Teach Me and Night of Seduction/ Heavens Gate. So I caught the rhythm and enjoyed the balance in my first Iris Bolling book Teach me. Then I jumped into the Heart Series and did not come up for air until the end. By then, The Pendleton Rule and the Gems & Gents series was published at a rate that I didn't have to wait.
I waited patiently for the Brooks Family Values series and while I did enjoy Sinergy and Fatal Mistake it took me about 1/3rd of the book to catch the rhythm of Propensity for Love. I was out of practice, it took me a while to fall into the cadence of the balance, to get that old familiar feeling so that I could sway to the rhythm and let Iris lead which she does so well. During that challenging 1/3rd I wanted more romance and less thriller suspense then I remembered who's art I was experiencing.
In my opinion, this book should not be read as a stand alone. While she does a good job at sharing the context for what is happening it will probably feel like being dropped into the middle of a story, if you have not read (at the very least) Sinergy and Fatal Mistake. To get the full impact read them all.
In Propensity for Love the dialog is good the love scenes, while not as many as I would have liked from Iris were hot and full of love not just lust. The character development is strong and consistent. Experience Iris Bolling but let her lead, if you like romance in shades of brown and well done thriller suspense you will not be disappointed.

Propensity for Love is the 4th book in the Brooks Family Values series and it was a thoroughly enjoyable read. In this latest saga, Vernon Brooks is on trial for the murder of his wife and all leads and point back to him being guilty of murder. However, readers will remember in the last installment, Vernon did not kill his wife, although he had reasons and a lesser man would have done it. Vernon is being framed and he must seek the help of his brother, along with an ex-secret service agent to clear his name. While in the midst of this drama, Vernon falls for ex-secret service Rene Naverone. She is initially hired to protect his daughter, but the moment Vernon meets Naverone, he knows she is the one that can break the barrier around his heart and mend him. However, Naverone is not to be played and clearly tells Vernon they cannot pursue a relationship until he is divorce. Add to this the fact he is now on trial, Naverone must also prove his innocence.
Ms. Bolling did a good job with this last installment in the Brooks Family Values series. Readers will what lead Vernon on the path and how it shaped his future. Ms. Bolling did an outstanding job of changing readers’ view of Vernon as initially there was discord between Vernon and James that eventually was resolved. Rene Naverone was the perfect match for Vernon and allowed him to experience true love. As always, Ms. Bolling is good at weaving a story and bringing out emotions from the readers. You will laugh, cry and cuss before ending this book. I must say the chandelier scene was hilarious. Overall, I love this book and it was a great read

Ms Iris if I could give your novels more than five stars I would. I purchased this novel on the release date , but did not read until my day off because I did not want any interruption. I was not disappointed Ms Iris once again gives us a novel filled with excitement,deceit,greed, drama, revenge, and the element of surprise. Now I have a clear vision of Vernon and why he treated Constance with malice. The Brooks family shows us the true meaning of loyalty ,love and standing for what is right,

Well all who know me, know I have been on the Brooks all month... I Love me some James, Nick, Nicole and Yes Vernon. I must say I was very pleased. It is your usual Iris read where you are transported directly into the story. You have to look around because you will swear you are in the scene as an extra. I loved the chemistry between Vernon and Rene.... but we all knew they were going to be hot.... hot ... hot...... I feel in like even more with Ericka... she loves her some Nick... and X-Man well what can I say he had from the minute I knew he had dreads.... It was a well rounded story. The Court scenes felt real life court drama, nothing forced or faked. It was non stop from beginning to end. Propensity For Love is part of the Brooks Family Values Series, but can be read as a stand alone romance novel. Ms Iris Bolling is a Great Story Teller. Her Novels are so good that they leave you desiring to read more of her work.
Propensity For Love is full of Suspense, Drama, and Romance that kept me hanging on the edge of my seat. I am a fan of Ms Bolling work and I have read all of her novels. I was not a fan of Vernon Brooks but, after reading his story from the beginning to the end, I understand him much better. The sexual chemistry between Vernon and Rene is Hot!!! The bond between the Brooks family is Unbreakable. Ms Bolling writing style is so Marvelous that I felt that I was actually sitting in the court room witnessing Vernon's trial.
