I had the print edition of this issue when I was a kid. I remember really enjoying it, and wanting to read the rest of the issues in the Maximum Carnage storyline, but as they were spread out across a few different series, and I was a kid without steady income, that never happened. Now I'm catching up on the story 27 years later thanks to digital editions on my iPad. Yeah, the dialogue is campy (totally didn't see it that way in 1993), but I still have a soft-spot for this comic. 14 Reasons to Read Maximum Carnage
Solid first issue. The ''Carnage Rising'' part is neat, but the ''Playback'' segment with Peter being transported in a dream of his past life is without a doubt my favorite and it was just the good ol' Spider-Man story centered around tragedy and trauma. The final segment with ''Long Way Down'' was... really out of place and I didn't really get why it's here.
Either way, it's a good one. I bought this at the bookstore and I'm glad to do so. Love me some more Spider-Man books in my collection
As someone whos not obsessed with Spiderman I think this is a really good story. I like Peter a lot in this story and MJ. I also really liked the villains too. Not my fav comic book but a good one.
