Strike: A Sci-Fi Alien Romance

Expected 5 Nov 26I'm in trouble, REALLY big trouble. I'm trapped in a cage with an alien...and he growled a word which sounded like MINE.
Last thing I remember was blasting off from Earth on the first all female crewed mission to Mars. But somehow I've ended up in a cage with an enormous winged alien male and he's just broken me out.
If I had any other options, I’d be running like hell, but instead I throw my lot in with this huge, tattooed alien mercenary. He might appear to be the big bad merc, but underneath he’s as soft as his feathers, even if his time spent with females of any species is very much limited.
So I spend my time chasing him out of the bathroom, because he wants to be sure I'm safe, dealing with the fact he has no concept of personal space and...oh, yes...teaching him how to kiss. That part I rather like...and so does he.
I’ve done so many dangerous things in my life, including strapping myself to a rocket and been fired into space. But the more I know about him, the more time I spend with him, I think the most terrifying thing of all will be losing my heart to Mav.
Especially when there’s something hunting us both, I still haven’t found my ship or crew, and we’re running out of time to find them before all the bad guys in the galaxy work out where we are...and come for us both.

I can't get enough of the Gryn!
The 1st installement in the RENEGADE ALIEN WARRIORS and we follow Alison,a human engineer sent in a shady only-women mission to Mars and wakes up in a cage light-years from Earth and her captors put a feathered alien in her cage ,Mav.
Mav is chaotic,unhinged and likes to much to provoke mayhem.He looks at Alison and calls her Eregri,even not sure what it means.
I loved so much this book and looking forward to read more.

This book was kindly sent to me by the author in advance of release for the opportunity to read and review. All opinions are honest and have been left voluntarily!
4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ & 2 🌶️🌶️. I enjoyed this sci fi alien romance about a gang of “chaos angels” and the humans that stumble into their laps. The mercenaries really don’t want any more problems, but Mav can’t resist his Alison. The book features fated mates, pretty much insta lust and love but they don’t actually say those words. Their nesting antics were cute, and there was a heavy focus on the breeding kink. In this universe things are pretty unsual and it was a unique take on space and the typical human kidnapping storylines. It’s all very vague in this first instalment exactly where the Gryn come from and their past.
It’s clear they have some pretty traumatic past events. It reminded me of what happened to wolverine in the x men films with a cross with the wings of the falcon in the avengers movies. Their metal enhancements cause them pain so it reminded me of his claws situation.
The pace is pretty fast and I do feel it lefts quite a few gaps. I actually would have appreciated a tad more detail with the whole backstory, in what happens to the humans etc. I appreciate it’s done to make you read more. It was a very quick read too. But I would be interested in continuing the series as I want to know more about these aliens and their feathers, they’re definitely naughty fallen angels too I reckon 😏

I knew I was going to enjoy this story from the description alone. What I did not expect was to fall in love with the main characters so quickly! Alison and Mav are both very confident and competent characters, who bring glorious and sometimes unexpected chaos to the page. As their story unfolded I cheered for them, my heart broke for them, I giggled in delight for them.
One of the things I always enjoy is the world building, and Strike delivered beautifully on that front. Bringing us along for the adventure and exploration of the wider universe, while Alison and Mav's relationship grew into a sweet (and spicy!) romance!
So, if you are looking for an adventurous romance with characters who are will unapologetically steal your heart, set on the back drop of a rich and vibrant universe, then Strike is definitely the book for you.

If you like fast paced, sort of banter, tongue in cheek sci-fi romance you might like this book.
1980s astronaut woman meets winged alien with battle gear. Or, good hearted engineer astronaut meets a big winged chaos himbo. Insanity ensues.
My only real dislike from the book was yet another book with butt stuff and no prep.
It was a fun enough read.
If you like fast paced, sort of banter, tongue in cheek sci-fi romance you might like this book.

Thoroughly enjoyed the latest book my Hattie, back with our favourite feathered friends.
Mav is pure chaos with golden retriever vibes, and once he learns dirty talk he aces that too!
She is part of the first all woman space mission but rather than MARS she wakes in a cage with a man with abs and wings. She needs to find her ship, her crew and work out what to do next.
But Mav is tempting with his chaos energy its hard to resist....
Excited for the new series with the Gry. Love we are back with them and them not understanding their basic instincts (nesting)....

This was a fun, entertaining good time. This book is funny, spicy and wildly romantic. I was reading this while on a cruise, completely unaware of whatever was going on around me because I was so into this story. Absolutely incredible read! Alison and Mav were such great characters. Thank you to Hattie Jacks for the early copy.

This was a great read, full of action and plot. This definitely made me giggle “Spaceworn adjacent”🤣🤣 loved the dynamic between the fmc and mmc.
