A helpful intro and overview. Like any such guide, its characterizations must be taken with a grain of salt. I read this over breakfast at my hotel in Tirana, Albania, and by lunch had already observed numerous exceptions so plentiful as to disprove several of the 'rules' in the book. However, it was certainly helpful to understand the broad tendencies of culture and to understand etiquette in paying the bill in cafes and restaurants.
