For what it is worth - my reading is faster. In fact, a 40 minute read through this book calls to attention some of the most simple road blocks that can obstruct someone from reading faster (physical roadblocks like moving the head or following a line with the finger. There are some even more insightful tips and Shefter's approach to vocabulary is probably the best way to learn new words. The book is longer than it needs to be and there isn't too much science cited, but it's a good one to have for a bus rides.

Great book with available techniques and activities to improve your reading speed. I made quite a progress with it, I would definitely recommend it!
