At times I liked that hero was a sensitive billionaire looking for love, but overall he wasn't ALPHA enough for me. He was too unsure and not assertive enough. Though, I loved how he handled his mother. The author has talent, however, the book could have used more editing -- near the end of the book when Barbara (the ex-wife) drops off Jasmine, her name is changed to Brenda.
Wow quitting your job and then thanks to polluters you find the perfect job in the paper ! I’m confused first Richard has brown eyes and then later (still in the first chapter) he has deep blue eyes?? Hmm yeah.. like I said confused . Of course Kimberly and Richard were attracted to each other during the job interview . I must say that there relationship progressed slowly. I like that. When Richard felt comfortable about their relationship and wanted Kimberly to meet his daughter (which she didn’t know about) She ends it! 1 she didn’t know he had a daughter 2 she thinks she would mess up a child life cause of her own upbringing(WTF??people who’ve had a good stable home/upbringing never mess up their children’s life hmm yeah right!!) And his mom Lena and her race issues OMG!
I thought this book was ok. I was actually looking for more of the story with Kimberly getting to know Jasmine. The transitions between Richard and Kimberly were a little confusing, but I was able to determine who's thought was who's. As I said, it was ok, but I needed more.
SN: I did like how "Queen Lena" was called out in the end... that was too funny
Almost Perfect is a very sweet and sensual interracial romance novel and it earned four star rating. I enjoyed reading this book even though the editing needed to be improved. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a good book.
The story line wasn't to bad. A familiar plot but author put a little different spin on it. My problem with this book is the timeline in which they "fell in love" was to quick even for fantasy. And the ending was really abrupt. Is there a part 2 to this?
This book was written well, it was just dry, I liked the premise of the book, I just think it could have been more exciting. The part that did have excitement went by very fast, and considering the rest was detailed it wasn't.
