Second in series...just as adult rated as the first. Satiated in the "insatiable" series but not really satisfied. I'm always intrigued in this genre but I can only handle so much swearing. That's just a heads up if you like this genre also. Don't think I'll continue with this series.
Here's a snippet: "What happened next occurred in near complete darkness. First, Steff heard a crack as the phone landed on the basement floor, then she heard a giant whoosh of air."

This is the second book in the Insatiable Series. That is about all I can say about this book. Literally about 17 chapters and 152 pages. It was short, and not much time for story development. Everything was boring and not much happened until the last few chapters. I did love the first book Skin in this series so I may continue, but only because I want to know where it is going. I will say though if the next one is as boring and useless in continuing this story line as this one was I will be stopping at that one. I have too much on my to read list to waste time.

Moments of excitement
More of an adult read. Again, hard to follow at times like the first book. Really need a better editor as phrasing is repeated and contains poor grammar. Overall, I still like the concept of this series. Just wish it were worded differently in parts that distracted me from what was happening in the story.

This is a short story, a sort of interlude, of book 1 titled Skin. It’s a tad slow in the beginning, but only for the buildup for book 2.
Once the stupid kids get “stupider” through the bullying of Tyler - a so-called friend and troubled teen- they find themselves in a life or death situation, where death gruesomely prevails.
On to book 3!

Another home run
I never get tired of these books. Must be something wrong with my mind. But mr. Logan says you keep reading and ill keep writing. Thats the easiest deal I've ever made.

Continuing Horror
Crackers follow Skin and is aptly named. The continuation of this story is every bit as horrifying as the beginning. The characters are in depth and life like. A fantastic read...Sith the lights on.

This series that patrick logan wrote, so far, as kept me very interested and couldn't put the book down. I have read both skin and crackers and will be starting the next one.

I read it because I spent the time reading the first one in the series.. Skin. This one is a little easier to follow than the first one. Not really my sort of thing, but not terrible.

After I read Mother, I was ready to be freaked out when I read Skin, the first in this Insatiable series. But the story was slow, there were a lot of obvious spell check word errors, and by the time I was 75% into it, it got gross and over the top ick.
Having said that, I almost didn't read Crackers, but what the heck. It started right after Skin and it pulled me into the story and kept my attention right to the end. I really liked it. One thing positive that I can say about Skin is that it provided a lot of background information for Crackers that would have been missed if I just read Crackers first.
I liked Crackers a lot and am now reading the preview for Parasite, which sounds just as good as Crackers. I can hardly wait.

Get thee an editor post haste.
I enjoyed Skin, the first book in this series. Sadly, I couldn't even struggle through the prologue due to the terrible grammar, missing words, incorrectly sexed characters, switching tenses, incomplete sentences that make no sense-- did the author publish a first draft by mistake? Even a friend or partner should be able to spot edit, there is absolutely no excuse for such atrocious and bountiful mistakes. This might be the best book in the world but because my eyes are bleeding ill never know.

Disappointed
The first book in this series was spectacular. It seems like the author went on vacation and let his kid write this second book. The characters are cliche. The entire camping trip is irrelevant. It seems this book was slapped together quickly. Glaring errors. For example they were camping on an inland 'lake' and the tide came in. Huh! The story didn't really begin until about 70% into it. Very disappointed.

Having read Skin I was prepared to be scared and icked out all over again. While there are certainly some gross moments this sequel rests more on suspense and it does so well. I kept wondering what was going to happen and at the same time you know something is coming. Enjoyable read. So grateful I don't have a basement.

A great follow up to the first book in the series, Skin. It was nice to have a few of the characters in this book that were also in the first book, so it has the cohesion between the two. As someone who has a fear of the dark and dark spaces, this one had me in chills. Another great read. Onto book 3 in the series.

Short but good
First half was about 3 men and sons plus a friend camping and fishing. It was interesting but really picked up the second half. The boys left after dark to explore and get scared. What they found and happened was not what they wanted. Read Skin first.

Too short. Just as things get interesting, the story ends.
I wish there had been more of a story. It seemed incomplete. I realize it is a series, however, it left too many questions unanswered. It was too short.
