I slept with a stranger en route to my client’s wedding. Turns out he’s her protective older brother. And a divorce lawyer out to stop the marriage.
Bennett Mercer is hot, infuriatingly arrogant, and the kind of mistake I should know better than to make twice. Especially since I plan happily-ever-afters for a living, while he makes millions ending them.
Now we're trapped at his sister’s wedding estate. Arguing about a prenup. The wedding. Love. And exactly how bad an idea it would be to end up in bed together again.
Turns out - pretty bad.
But somewhere between the fights and the stolen nights, I'm seeing the man behind the ruthless lawyer. And I'm falling. Hard.
But Bennett has spent years making damn sure no woman can destroy him again. He’ll kiss me when no one’s looking. Take me behind locked doors. But I’m done being his secret.
Now he has to decide if what we have is real. Or if I’m about to become another relationship he’s determined to end.
Wrong Vows is a great read filled with intense emotions, mystery, intrigue and entertaining banter. Barrett Mercer is a divorce attorney and is at the airport with delayed flight on his way to his sister’s wedding, he sees a woman rapidly typing on her laptop at the other end of the bar, he moves to the stool one seat away from her, he introduces himself with just his first name and she gives him her first name Caitlin. He offers to buy her a drink, she tells him she is a wedding coordinator and her plane is also delayed on the way to a wedding. Their chemistry is hot and they end up in Caitlin’s hotel room for the night, she wakes in the morning and he is gone. Caitlin gets on her flight and arrives at the mansion location for the wedding, she hits the ground running it’s so windy, she tries to save a structure and is falling when someone grabs her from behind and saves her and the structure, she turns and it’s Bennett! It’s not long before he has Caitlin suspicious about the groom and his family, and Bennett and Caitlin can’t keep their hands off each other, but Bennett doesn’t want anyone to know about them, even after the wedding, he just can’t get past his trust issues!.

Wrong Vows by Laila King is an entertaining, banter-filled romance with great chemistry and an engaging plot. I enjoyed the sparks between Caitlin, the wedding planner, and Bennett, the arrogant divorce lawyer who has plenty of walls to break down. Their one-night stand, unexpected reunion, and being trapped together during a hurricane make for a fun, steamy read with a little suspense. A lovely opposites-attract romance!
Trying to decide what you should read next? I totally 100%recommend this romance book by Laila. Bennett and Caitlin had my eyes glued to my kindle all day long and way into the early morning hours just because I couldn't get enough of these 2 amazing characters. I really liked how the book unfolds page after page, chapter after chapter. In fact, the romance will have you full and undivided attention. LOVED this 5/5-star romance read.
That would be the case unless they meet at an airport hotel, after their flight had been grounded due to the weather. And if they only use their first names and don’t fully reveal exactly what they do for a living.
After a passionate night together, imagine their surprise when they meet at the wedding destination. He’s the bride’s brother and she’s her wedding planner.
Intriguing subplot with the groom’s family which leaves one guessing as to the actual outcome.
