HELL ON EARTH

During a routine Custodian investigation into illegal activities by vampires, Emily Glass discovers a massive demon summoning pattern in a warehouse.

Her demon-possessed boyfriend, Tyler Rock, identifies it as a demonicus—an ancient pattern used to summon demons from different levels of hell all at the same time, with the most powerful demon devouring the souls of humans to magnify his power.

Together with the enigmatic George Glass and Mr. Sticks, they uncover a plot to create more demonicus and raise an army of demons in Eden at the cost of thousands of human souls. Unless they can stop the hellions, humanity might have a demon overlord as their new ruler.

Fun

Much better than the previous book. Had a great plot and wasn't based solely on sex. I like where the author is going with the characters. Super fun!

Quite the story

Having read John Corwin's Overworld Chronicles series, I already know all these characters but it is great to see how they became the people I've seen them be in the other series. This book shows Emily and Tyler growing closer together and learning more about their own abilities and backgrounds as they combat a demonic horde plotting to invade Eden. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Emily glass is kinda awesome

At first I wasn't a fan of Emily glass mainly because I read the Justin Slade books then the Conrad Edison books but now that I'm reading Emily story she is awesome, stupid and in a world full of vampires, demons, and arcanes she is extremely brave and the series is just got promoted from good to awesome.

Good read

Wow, to think all this was going on behind the scenes. I. Love how this fits right in and we see a different perspective of some of the side characters. And learn of others thoughts on what has been going on.

Let me copy paste my review on Amazon:

That was quite a read! Me literally starting and finishing the book all in one day goes to show how I just can't put the book down!

The first thing I'll note is how considerably more conservative this second book is compared to the first book when it comes to describing Emily's and Tyler's love-making scenes. I don't mean anything negative about it, just genuinely curios since the first book was very explicit.

Next thing to note is chronologically, this book coincides with books 3-7 of the Overworld series (I may be off by a bit. I can't exactly remember which event happened in which book). So for those who haven't read those, go read those first or you'll miss out on a lot of references.

Anyways, yet another good story about the Overworld. At first, I had a lot of doubt about the story. I just thought that how could Emily's little adventure possible compare to the magnitude of Justin's world domination dilemma, considering both happen at the same time? Clearly I was wrong. Even though the demonic activity was very low profile compared to the almost Overworld civil war that Justin is preventing, it is no less Eden-threatening. Also as a bonus, it was nice to know Tyler's lineage and relatives. Although, to be honest, his real demonic name (or at least part of his truel name) was kinda a downer. I don't know, but it just doesn't sound fitting for a guy as cool as Tyler.

All in all, I'm looking forward to seeing more of Emily and Tyler and the behind-the-scenes troubles that were happening during Justin's story
