Where to begin? I never really felt a connection with any of the characters. The author would give brief back stories on some of their lives throughout the book but it was too little, too late. The main reason I love this genre is it's usually well researched and through reading the book you can learn some biblical history or theory. In this book they mention there WAS a theory (many different theories) but rarely told you what that theory was. Or did so in a paragraph. So basically you're on this quest and going places (Paris, Geneva, Cypress) but only know it's to find the grail but not why anybody thinks the Grail will be there....besides the much repeated reference to "Marks Paper"...which we never get to read and only is only glossed over. Which is pretty amazing because he is kidnapped no less than 4 times for his "knowledge". I think this is the first in the series. I won't be reading any more
Oh and don't put a smart attractive woman in your book just to make it a romance. The stupidity of this woman personally offended me.

Interesting left Unsatisfied
I really enjoy Historical fiction and on this front it does not disappoint. The characters and situations were enough executed, however the resolution was decidedly lacking.?

Ok, but
The premise, while a good one started off well but ended in my opinion, rather poorly. A redeeming feature was the short chapters.
The book had me planning additional purchases as I read thru the first half, but the second half made certain that I'll make this the only book, I'll buy from the Relic Hunter s series.

I'm not really sure what this story is about. Some of the text deals with the search for the Holy Grail, from the Last Supper. More of it deals with the childhood and teenage woes of the members of an archeological team and their benefactors/opponents. The story wanders from Washington, DC to Paris and finally ends up on the island of Cyprus. When all is said and done, there are a lot of loose ends, and that's it.

In need of serious editing!
The storyline held great promise but the flow was continually interrupted by the use of the wrong tense, missing words or misspellings. Putting the editing problems aside, there is an almost Keystone Kops feel to the myriad characters who take turns at kidnapping our heroes as they proceed on their quest. This book could have been much more.

Holy Grail!
A great story line but way too many grammatical and spelling errors in the novel. If you just read for content and story it is good, entertaining and thrilling, but please, after it is formatted retread it again for left out words and spelling.

This is a different book for me, I like cozy mysteries with the exception of Matthew Reilly (I love his books) and thought from the picture and the blurb that I had found a similar writer in this book.I did enjoy this story but it left me feeling well okay then what was that all about? The story jumps from character to character, different locations and even time, there was a few flashbacks/memories to explain why the character acted the way they did. So you had to concentrate to keep ever thing straight, there was a lot of characters. There was plenty of action and a love interest, as well as bad guys to keep it interesting. Anyway I am off to start book two to see how things develop.

In fact he is a geeky guy that works for the government in a windowless office, where his colleagues don't like him. That is until he gets kidnapped and then starts a quest that will change his life forever.Three different powerful men are looking for the holy grail and they are want Mark to find it for them and so ensures a game if cat and mouse to be the first to find it.
I was humming and hawing whether or not to give this book a go, I was undecided but as soon as I saw Mikael Naramore was the narrator I jumped at the chance. He is one of my favourite Narrators and makes a good book great every time.

Complex and full of mystery. Olivia, broken reporter. Falls into a story that is bigger than she realizes. Who can she trust, Rob, Frank, Peter, Diggs, the list is long, but the trustworthy are not always who you think. From Miami to Antarctica to Rome hold on to you hat Olivia is going find the Grail, or is she?

The history of The Holy Grail, has been written by many, and with different insight to it. The author did a fairly good job, and thought the audio helped with the plot. Overall was good to listen to. Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Archaeologist Mark Lockheed is disillusioned with his government job. When he is approached by a mysterious man to find the Holy Grail, he jumps at the chance and is soon mixed up in a dangerous race with multiple enemies with different goals.

This should have been a really good book. Description was totally my genre. Unfortunately, it read flat and almost one dimensional.

Interesting story but editing was poor, wrong pronouns and sentence structure. At times difficult to make sense.

I really enjoyed this reading. It was off in the beginning but then it got more interesting. I have ordered the second in the series.

I thought that this was a Disappointing read!
The book has four parts; the first two parts has a plot VERY SIMILAR to Ice Station Wolfenstein. Same types of characters and plot, different names, American rather than English.
Part 3 starts with an epilogue which is the start of the "hunt". While the plot references something called the grail this is not a grail hunt such as a Dan Brown or a Matthew Reilly would be.
The second two parts is an okay spy intrigue story.
Kept reading to see where the story went to. It was bit meh in the end.

Don't waste your time and money! I kept reading, thinking it would get bettet. Fortunately I had it under Kindle Unlimited, so I j7st wasted a day and a half.
This plot is so improbable with the writer's conceit of using a cliffhanger to end every chapter. a kind of Perils of Pauline!
Definitely will not be reading Relic Hunter #2.

This author is a fun one to read. I found some of the theories raised in this book to be interesting and enjoyed the fictional adventure. As usual the relic was never actually found, but the manner in which that was explained or the explanation was hinted at was unique.

Good book
I enjoyed the book. Lots of twists and turns. The bad thing was there are A LOT of typos. They are distracting. I would think the editing would be better than this.
