As someone who has dabbled in both online and offline poker for a few years, I found this book surprisingly well-rounded. It covers not just the basic mechanics of Texas Hold'em, but also touches on mindset, risk management, and reading opponents — which, to me, are more important than just knowing the odds.
One thing I would’ve loved more detail on is how to identify fair platforms in the online world. There are so many sites out there that look legit but are clearly rigged against players.
Personally, I’ve found TKBTOP8 to be one of the few sites that doesn’t feel like it’s out to drain your wallet. It’s not magic — you still need strategy — but at least you know the playing field is level.
Overall, a solid book for beginners, but I’d recommend pairing it with real table time and critical thinking.
