While Angie is confident she can do her job and help Jackson ‘Jax’ Andrews recuperate from his combat injuries, she’s not quite as confident she can ignore his great physique, his sexual charisma, or his flagrant habit of walking around naked.

There were parts I liked but i had several issues with this series. I guess I'm just too old fashioned with the whole one man and one woman thing. I let the Hilda thing go because it was before he and Angie got together. I was extremely upset with the Stephanie incident. I think he wanted her to see both times since he left the door open. Angie lost my respect when she slept with him again the next day. I'm not into that at all. I know they weren't boyfriend/girlfriend but I guess I was thinking casual sex could be limited to one person. I guess I'll never know what happens because Jax would never be a man I would trust with my heart. If he can have sex with you a few doors down the hall why would you even want him.

I wanted to love this series, I really did. It started great and I was completely absorbed in it, until book 4. ***Spoiler Alert*** After sleeping with Angie several times, Jax's ex-wife comes into the picture and he not only treats Angie with cold distance, but he goes out with his ex, lets her disrespect Angie on more than one occasion, goes so far as to be mad at Angie during one of these times, and then he sleeps with his ex. And supposedly later he realizes that he'd been falling in love with Angie the whole time. Right. Okay. His actions clearly relay that. And Angie has no self-respect for choosing to sleep with him again immediately after his ex leaves, let alone staying with him. He offers her no apology for what he did or how his ex treated her. Just some half-a**ed comment about how his ex is familiar. I don't care who he is, how hot he is, or how amazing the sex is, if a guy treated me like that, I'd be gone before he could blink. ***End Spoiler/Rant*** As if book 4 wasn't bad enough, book 5 ends with no real conclusion. Yes, there's another book in a new series in which Angie and Jax make an appearance and it's discussed what happened after book 5 ended, but that seemed a little lazy for me. I gave the series 3 stars because I really liked the first three books. Do I recommend it? Sure, if you have KU and want to read some good sex scenes. Would I buy it? No, and I'm glad I didn't. I'm hesitant to try another book by Helen Grey, but I'll give it a shot because she writes well and the sex scenes are hot. Hopefully the heroines in her other book have more self-respect and aren't as whiny.

Meh....not my cup of tea. I like a one woman kind of man whether it's no strings attached or not. Jax would sleep with someone and almost seem to rub Angie' s nose in it...but she let him.
Ok read, the story line felt incomplete. I was really hoping for a good steamy read. Fell completely flat for me.
Off to search for a new series :)

I was lucky to receive the arc's for this series and thoroughly enjoyed each one.
book 1; I was given this free for my honest review. This is a great start as you are introduced to Angie a nurse wanting a change from her usual life who takes on working for Jax who is recovering from injuries he got while out on a mission. The writing is really good as you get to understand the chemistry between them and how the are both reserved for different reasons. Angie wants to do her job but can't stop the thoughts of what her body feels around him and Jax finds it amusing how he makes her react..... this leaves you really wanting to get the next one.
book 2 ; this is great you have their chemistry that she tries to fight because she is his nurse and the humour of Jax because he knows he wants her then you have the danger. Your heart rate goes up for so many great reasons in this part can't wait to read on.
book 3 ; . this is another great part to the series, Angie has started to fall for Jax big time. She gets to meet his ex which does not go well at all. There is plenty of action in all ways you won't be disappointed at all
book 4 ; Poor Angie has fallen hard and is really questioning the why's and what if's. This is just getting better and better, can't wait for next part.
book 5 ; This has been a great series to read, this carries on from Angie is kidnapped from Jax's house. Her main line of thought is by who, what will they do to her and how will Jax find her and will he be in time........ this has been full of chemistry, action and loyalty and does get your emotions going.

Multiple reasons for just an average rating. One, it's only the POV of the female character. I personally like when I get to read both main characters, & sometimes other character's, POV. It helps me understand the characters better. Since it was only the female character I was privy to a lot of her ramblings & no communication between characters. Does that mean I hated this book, absolutely not. It just means I prefer characters that interact more. Another factor I wasn't too thrilled with is that the ending was left to feel like there are more books to be added to this series, NO HEA/A FREAKING CLIFFHANGER! In my opinion that is. Another reason I wait until all of the stories of a series is completed so that I can understand everything as I'm reading. This felt like there was still more to the story & more to come.

I got this 5 piece series with one of the author's standalones, Burning Secrets, it was interesting to say the least. Thank-You.

Can't say I didn't enjoy the reading, I did, until part 3 at least.
I handled Hilda, he didn't knew Angie, she was new. Ok, I get it. But Stephanie?

Well, after that it was just hard for me to enjoy the rest of the story. I really liked part 1 though, but that's it.

I really enjoyed the books; however, I subtracted a star because the ending is terrible. In my opinion this is not a complete series and ended on a cliffhanger. I don't know how anyone can consider it anything else. I really enjoyed the writing, character development, and the witty nature of the heroine. The characters were very believable. I look forward to the continuation of this story (hopefully sooner rather than later)!

Could not finish this book. I stuck with it until 63% through, but the way Jax treated Angie was awful. The fact that Angie allowed made it even worse. It was also difficult for myself, as a home health nurse, to read a story where a nurse so blatantly abused her position. I don't care that Jax was alert and oriented or that he was encouraging it, it was wrong.

Very disappointed in the ending, it feels as though there should be another book instead of this being a complete series.

Umm, unless I read the wrong series, this WAS NOT complete! It ended with a very unsatisfying end. Nothing finalized. It actually seems as if there should have been more but it was forgotten.
Grrr...
