Sudden Wolf #1

Sudden Wolf

Rate this book
Shapeshifters don't exist. There aren't any myths or legends about them. Police Officer Jayce Garver is changing, and he can't stop it. Before he loses his mind and does something he'll regret, he must seek help. Unfortunately, help comes in the form of Dr. Oliver Evans, and there's only one thing Jayce wants from the doc. The aggression is growing, and the desire won't quit. As a man of action, Jayce sees one course laid out before him--embrace his inner wolf. Logic tells Oliver he shouldn't believe Jayce or get involved with him. He risks his career if he gives in to the attraction between them. The problem is no man has ever looked at him the way Jayce does or come after him with such hunger. Mistakes from his past could bring out a part of Jayce neither of them expected. Oliver must try to walk away from Jayce, but a man who is suddenly part wolf could never let that happen.

While I can understand Jayce's fear of what was happening to him, I'm not sure that I personally would choose to trust Mark to do anything in my best interest. I think that this would have worked better if Jayce had been presented as someone who was almost OCD about self control and now was suddenly losing it - that would habe explained his almost reckless choice to suppress his wolf without a second thought.
