Dragons are more fun than Algebra. And epic battle scenes are easier to manipulate than the arguments in Jonas’s kitchen.

In real life, Jonas’s sister Emma babbles nonsense from her wheelchair. But in Jonas’s world, she is the moonstone bearer and the only person capable of restoring the Stormdragons to power. He weaves a tale of jarring action, fascinating creatures, heart-pounding battles, and loveable characters that may be just what he needs to save his sister and his family.

Master storyteller Heather Choate unleashes avalanches of adrenaline and adventure in a story that will grip reader’s hearts.

Heather Choate was born in Littleton, Colorado. She now lives in a small town in Southern Colorado on a farm with her husband and five children. She chases chickens, declares war on the weeds in her garden and enjoys quietly people-watching. Most of her time is spent daydreaming of worlds and people that don’t actually exist, but reflect the beauty and complicity of humanity. Writing is her escape from diaper changes and runny noses but motherhood is the greatest journey and joy of her life.

Sweet and fun

Heather Choate did a wonderful job with this book for all ages. I enjoyed the fast-paced action, the sibling love, and the fact that imagination is the driver of the story. Excellent, I wish I could read more right now!
