Luna Lodge #5.5

Apollo and Val

Rate this book
Val hasn’t had a relaxing month. First, she tracked down her long-lost brother. Then, she was attacked. There was also the small matter of finding the love of her life. Everything seems to be happening too fast for her to catch up. Apollo has everything he’s ever wanted. Now the hybrid super-soldier just needs to make sure Val sticks around to see their relationship through, but when he tries to surprise her with a special dinner, the night doesn’t go the way he planned. Val and Apollo’s romantic concerns are put on hold when a team is needed to investigate another possible Horatius Group facility. With a chance of revenge against the Group, the Luna hybrids set out to take on the enemy, and Val is happy to be of some use, even if it means she won’t be able to run from her personal issues with Apollo.

Madison currently lives with her husband and two children in the Valley of the Sun. Phoenix, Arizona. After leaving the frozen tundra of the north, Madison was more surprised than anyone with how much she has enjoyed living in the desert. Seeing as she had stated on more than one occasion how much she hated the heat, it was an odd move. But it seemed her hatred for sub-zero temps and ice, or really the things that ice could do, won out in the end.
When she’s not writing, she’s enjoying time with her family. Madison and her family frequent festivals in the area, as well as local cultural events, and spend time with family in the area. In the summer she is most likely to be found in the pool with the family and in the winter by the fireplace. Since both her children are autistic, days can be a little chaotic but with her husband beside her, there’s nothing she can’t handle. Luckily he is also an author and able to share in all the activities (and chores) special needs kids require.
Madison has a full schedule of releases planned for 2014 listed and updated on her blog:

I would have been much more satisfied with this book if it wasn’t for two things. One, Val is stupid as hell in this. Running into a jungle when they know enemy is near, and running into their warehouse alone because of a feeling and leaving all the guys behind etc, is just DUMB. Secondly, I hate that she got magically pregnant. It would have been better if they adopted or decided not to have kids instead of having her lady bits magically work.

Other than those two things I didn’t mind the book, unfortunately those bits were pretty large parts lol.

Defining happily ever after...

So many stories get the couple together, and leave us to presume they lived happily ever after, without offering insight into what their version of happily ever after is. Val and Apollo met in Apollo's story, but here they balance their work/home life, and discover/define their happiness.

I loved the rescue but how did she go from not being able to have kids to pregnant?

This is what I'm talking about...

I will admit that the apollo book left me wanting. It was a nice story, but something was missing. It left way too many questions unanswered. Yes, I know that as an ongoing series there will always be room for more... but it just didn't feel complete. This novella put a little more closure into the apollo and Val story and made me want to learn more about new characters I.e., Zeno. Just a thunk. Thank god for this novella! Well, thank Madison Stevens for this novella!

Apollo and Val: #5.5(Luna Lodge Book O)

I really loved this book,I didn't know there were other ones til I got done with this one.Apollo and Val had a rough way to go,there was always some obstacles in their way.Val loved Apollo but thought she couldn't give him a family. You have to read this book to understand their plight, and find out what happens.

Very good

I like Val and Apollo. I like that he finally softened a bit. Val is still understanably afraid of her emotional.s and Sol is struggling with being a brother.

It was nice getting this addition to the last couple since their story was cut so abruptly... prob. should have been included with the last book:/

Book 5.5 Glad Apollo's story was extended. Val and Apollo are mates but still need to work through their feelings and problems while dealing with the crazies trying to capture and kill the hybrids.
