Short (77 pages) but interesting reading. I don't read a lot of true crime, but this is not a book about one crime .. it's a book about many.

Kidnappings are far more common than we might imagine. Every year there are real people who are abducted for various reasons... financial, revenge, sexual. Every kidnapping is a little different. Some victims make it home ... others don't.
What you find in this book are some of the strangest, most violent, most notorious cases of kidnapping.
* A Woman Who Became Friends With Her Kidnappers
* Sydney Opera House Kidnapping
* The Stolen Baby Who Solved Her Own Kidnapping
Each case gives the reader a synopsis of how the abduction was executed .... how the families reacted ... and the investigations. In some cases, the kidnappers made mistakes, in others, the police bungled the clues.
So many kidnappings do not not have a happy ending. The victim runs a large chance of being killed or dying accidentally. Those who do return are often irrecoverably affected by their ordeal.
A short, easy read. Very well-written.

Interesting
Overall it covered many situations and information. I enjoy reading factual books and this was exactly that. Worth the read.
