#1 Amazon Best Seller Epic Fantasy and Sword & Sorcery!
Don't miss out on this one-of-a-kind fantasy adventure! The bestselling Darkslayer series is a 650,000 word romp through the wastelands of Bish. It features an eye-popping artwork gallery of the villain's and heroes. Fans Tolkiens epic heroes, the likes of R.A. Salvatore's-Drizzt Do' Urden, Frizt Leiber's Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser, David Gemmell's Druss the Legend, Raymond E. Feist's Pug the Wizard, and Robert E. Howard's Conan, delight in The Darkslayer series ... perhaps you will as well.
Bish is the land of constant strife and turmoil created by Trinos, a bored immortal.
The rise and fall of the blazing suns make the days long and the people disagreeable. Its barren Outlands are as comforting as a bed of thorns as there is little sanctuary to be found in the sweltering forests or the dank caves below the ground. Its caviling cities are overrun with death, greed and corruption, but few complain. It is a place where tempers flare and alliances last as long as a tankard of ale. It is a place where the women are as beautiful as they are scarred and deranged. A place where good doesn't thrive, it endures. It is the land of fight or die.
Enter Venir the incorrigible, a fierce warrior, who has been secretly keeping the underling forces at bay for years. He is the Darkslayer, a man possessed by a mantle of power he cannot let go. Enter Melegal the resilient, a crafty rogue, and Venir's reluctant shadow. Enter the underlings, a purely evil race of sadistic killers bent on the destruction of mankind. Enter the humans, a greedy, self-absorbed race of shameless survivors. Enter the orcs, halfling's, dwarves, ogres and other races, some good, some bad, all caught in the maelstrom of treachery and seduction.
How will they survive to fight another day? Only Bish knows.
This Omnibus contains books 1 thru 6 of The Darkslayer Series 1. Wrath of the Royals (Book 1) Blades in the Night (Book 2) Underling Revenge (Book 3) Danger and the Druid (Book 4) Outrage in the Outlands (Book 5) Chaos at the Castle (Book 6)

I still feel a little conflicted about these series. The characters are pretty interesting and the plot does leave you wondering what is going to happen next. However, the writing is not so good. The author tends to "jump" from one plot line to the next without a clear sense of direction. The characters also lack more backstory and the general feeling is that they are not fully formed. Adding to that confusion is the immortal beings which present a very interesting and innovative approach but are not really tied into the plot properly and leave us with a sense of wanting more. All in all, these are not bad books but I wouldn't recommend them unless you have some time on your hands.
When you start reading this story, you immediately become enthralled by the opening written by the author. Where is this leading to? or what kind of strange story can come out of this? Well people, you have to read this entire story to understand the brilliance of this author. His characters are so well written that you will have no idea how much you'll miss them until you write your review. Give us MORE Mr. Halloran.
Couldn't putit down was riveting and gripping characters leapt out at you ,had to carry on reading to see what happened its five to six in the am not read a book all night for years was a good read very entertaining
c halloran is the only author that makes one read all these books
c halloran writes so that one can read all these books. I cannot write, at all. six books! hours of reading and one just has to keep reading. his writing is not repetitive and makes you want to finish the story. well done.
This took me a long time to finish but was worth it.
I love this series and all the characters in it. The world of bush is just dark and awesome. I lol forward to the second series. I highly recommend this book series.
Read this series..thank god there's more in the darkslayer stories! the action never stopped, the plotline never faltered.Well defined characters, who were easy to follow and care about, and a masterful multi-point of view writing that had me on pins and needles until I finished the books!
Intricately intertwined plots, unexpected friendships, a variety of creatures ranging from Underlings to giants, elves to trolls, dwarves and a druid. An epic tale of conflict between the worlds of different beings, with humans generally taking the brunt, but there are heroes on every level.
This was a great read from start to finish. Never a dull moment. This read has kept me on edge from start to finish. If you are into major hack and slash fantasy this is for you.
Really engaging fantasy tales. Author has the capacity to bring you high and low with his writing and it carries you along through six books. Onto Bish and Bone for more
Good characters going to action good scenery well thought-out lost one star for misspellings and lack of proofreading. I already bought the next series.
I thought this was going to be your typical sword & sorcery book. Boy was I wrong! Good character develope, great story line, and awesome plot twists. Well worth the read!
Whew! I am so exhausted! I just finished my second reading of The Darkslayer Omnibus, author Craig Halloran's collection of the six volumes that comprise Series One of his signature “The Darkslayer” series. I am a bit exhausted because in these six volumes, Halloran has given us 2,204 pages of great, non-stop sword and sorcery adventure reading, as reported in the Kindle App iOS eBook version’s “About This Book” preface. Kindle estimates that reading the whole thing should require about 48 hours and 43 minutes of intense reading pleasure.
The first time I read through the collection, I beat that time handily, because I was so absorbed in the rich imagery, fascinating characters, torturous plots, and ceaseless action that I simply could not stop. Later, though, I realized that I had raced right over the top of a lot of juicy details that later turned out to be important. So, I dived back in for a second reading, and am glad I did! If you enjoy high quality sword and sorcery fantasy, I highly recommend The Darkslayer Omnibus as an essential read!
Besides that, it will prepare you to dive into “The Darkslayer Series Two,” as I am about to do!
For characters in “The Darkslayer Series One,” there are two very important rules: “Fight or die!” and “Move or die!” For us on this side of the book covers, there is only one rule, “Read or die!”
The Darkslayer Omnibus series 1, books 1-6 by Craig Halloran
It took a while for these books to reel me in! Full of gore and manly fighting, I don't mind that, but the author took his time building the characters. By book 3, he had me and I'm now on book 5 in the second series! The first 3 books were hard reads, keeping the characters hard to grasp, like the underlings! Lots of male hormones which could become repetitive until they introduced the female characters! I particularly loved the dwarfen women and Jarla the briggand Queen! Hopefully the author wraps the story up in a neat little package and we're not left hanging! ( George Martin)!
Excellent series. I really like the concept with it being full of fantasy characters from Ogre's to Dragons. Very entertaining read and very action packed. Can be a bit on the gory side so if gore isn't in your forte stay clear. This series reminds me of a cross between star wars and lord of the rings with all the different species. I would definitely recommend this series if your looking for a good action packed fantasy series. Very well written.
I gave this series a 5 because I just could not put it down. I loved the characters and storyline. Good, good read for anyone who's into the world of magic, good guys, giants, bad things and much more, excellent reading and highly recommended!!!!
The first few books were great but somewhere around the 4th this really started to drag. This started as a 4 and ended as maybe a 2, so I averaged it out to a 3 for the omnibus. I doubt I'll be picking up the 2nd series.
I really can't believe this is considered a "set" of books. The first one was more like a short story. The whole set would make one book. The story is funny enough, if you are familiar with Dungeons & Dragons, but not engaging enough for me to read the rest of the set.
