What’s the most important thing in your life? In a world filled with cheap imitations that distract us from God’s higher plans, Flywheel is a powerful parable for all who hunger to live an authentic life.

Another fantastic story by Eric Wilson. Such a page turner and a heart-ripper. Everyone can identify with Jay Austin and his life, his circumstances, his attitude and his inner soul. By the end of the book I was his biggest fan! I've read all three of Eric Wilson's book and bought the movies, Fireproof, Facing the Giants and Flywheel. I have to say that Flywheel touched the core of my being even more than the other two. I was amazed and pleasantly surprised!
I thought this book very good. I really loved how the main character could be anyone. It does make you really see the need for God in our lives and just how far we have strayed from Him.
This is the first in the series of books based around videos made by the Sherwood Baptist Church. I love this movie and story....A used car dealer who gives his lot and his life over to God. I really relate to this story as my husband has sold cars all his life and recently gave his life to Christ. I really recommend this book...and also the movies.
I love it. So easy to read with its very familiar yet touching story. Truly there's always a battle inside us that was caused by our ugly past and that can ruin our future and our loved ones but this book encourage the readers to stick with the truth, the family and the Lord. Nothing can beat integrity especially at work.
Jay Austin was like a lot of people today, thinking of himself first. Judy, his wife and Todd, his son was important to him but his priorities were just all mixed up. Read this book, and find out how Jay found the way to truly live his life. Thus is truly the best book I have read in a long, long time. Thank you for writing it and sharing.
Just what I expected. Every word from the movie is in here, with many of the conversations longer and many more scenes. I appreciated seeing the different characters' perspectives and enjoyed Wilson's interpretations of what might have been happening behind the scenes.
A great book, well written. Love the story line, if you are a Christian I would recommend you read this book. If you are not a Christian I would also recommend you read this book. A great Christian story line but even if you removed the Gospel it is still a great story. Just wish it was longer!
A detailed story on what one's thoughts can do to change the course of one's life. I enjoyed "Flywheel" because of the idea that selling isn't always about selling, but about integrity. Once you follow the thought that an excellent goal should lead, your life will change course for the better.
This book was truly inspirational and definitely makes you look hard at your life and where it is going. The Kendrick brothers have been blessed with their talents and I would recommend this to anyone whose life is going on a downward spiral or anyone really.
I have always enjoyed watching this movie, but I enjoyed reading the book so much more. I love how the book is just a reminder of how good and faithful God is when we give everything to Him. He is ready to make all things new; He is just waiting for us.
Pretty obvious, easy book to read. But the major twist towards the end I was not expecting! Made the book definitely more enjoyable! The anticipation of what was going to happen. Obviously I have not seen the movie. But I plan to.
Very powerful book! It really makes one think about your spiritual life. And it introduces a classic car, which is something I'm very interested in. I recommend it to those who need a change in their lives with the Savior and God!
A great book about turning over a new leaf, not on our own, but with God's help. The message is definitely clear in this book, and I loved it. There's a movie of the same title.
At first, when I was reading this book, I loved it...until a part where Jay Austin tried to change, and he told his wife that he was, and she believed him. I thought that this was unrealistic because he had lied so many times in the past, and had been a horrible husband and father. Unrealistic forgiveness in certain circumstances, however, is my only problem with this book. I love the complete change that you can see in Jay Austin, and I’m excited to see the end of his journey!
But I guess sometimes you need to beat people over the head with it. Your message that is. I knew going into it that it was God centric and overtly Christian. It took me awhile to get into the mindset of enjoying this book, but it turned out to be a decent read. Well written, the characters were believable, though I thought the epilogue was unnecessary.
Excellent Kendrick work, as usual. Very moving &.symbolic with the meaning of "flywheel". More than a story about a used car lot, but the story of family, faith & integrity. Nice work, Mr. Kendrick. Your writings continue to pull at heart strings!!
I love all of their books and movies. Didn't even know about this one until the other day! I would reccomend this book to all of my family and friends!
