Imagine being able to start a conversation with anybody, anywhere, any time and getting them to readily agree to go along with your idea, regardless of what it might be. The language patterns contained in this book are some of the most powerful language patterns in the world. They will allow you to phrase your ideas in a way that will get others wanting to do what you want, and imagining that it was their idea. Used respectfully, there is very little that cannot be accomplished with these techniques. Sales, seduction, interpersonal relationships, family relationships, business, school, work, all areas of life where words are used will be significantly improved and enhanced with the simple application of these patterns. Theory, use, and suggested drills are all covered. Not only will you be able to effortlessly persuade others to your way of thinking, you'll be able to look beneath their words with x-ray vision to see what they are really thinking. Read this book today and change the way you communicate forever.
I'm a professional hypnotherapist, so not exactly the target audience for the book (I was asked to look it over by somebody I'm mentoring). Although the topics covered in this book are worth studying, I really don't think the author understands them well enough to write a book teaching them. The content seems largely culled from other, far better sources. I would estimate that at seventy to eighty percent.
The examples given are very poor. They are neither subtle nor especially effective, and certainly not “covert”. They are very clunky and awkward feeling, not at all the way real people speak.
I analysed the text for AI content and it came out markedly lower than I thought it would. No AI detection is perfect, but it feels very AI like. Largely due to its repetitive structure, generic explanations, and lack of operational depth.
I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere if you want to actually learn and understand these topics.
As an avid student of all forms of communication (including hypnosis and influence), I was thrilled to find this gem.
While there are sources for deeper study of the topic, this book offers thorough explanations of many hypnotic language patterns with examples for clarity. The summary/exercise in the back of the book is a helpful addition for memory and practice.
The book is organized into a series of language patterns (each one a new chapter) and each chapter structured the same for consistency (name the pattern, explain the pattern, clarity the pattern through examples).
Like any "language", the patterns (words, phrases, questions, etc) in the book become easier with practice. A little daily practice goes a long way. Once you start paying attention, you hear these patterns everywhere - mostly from mega persuasive people like politicians and salespeople.
For the price, there really aren't any cons. Anyone interested in this topic will likely find this book a welcome resource.
