This is one of the best books I have read on Proverbs. It is filled with clear teaching on the historical context. It provides examples of how the teaching found therein is similar to other Near Eastern teachings.
Perdue interprets each proverb clearly, he makes thorough connections between major themes. He wraps up each chapter or group of chapters with a conclusion and summary of what it states about theology.
It is informative and insightful.
